      I have rental property that had a very slow draining sink. Roto-Rooter employee fixed the problem quickly and showed them how to prevent it from happening again. Prompt, courteous and professional.Many thanks. Very satisfied with the service!

      I give it a 1 because 0 was not an option.
      My wife called abd had them.come out to replace some fittings an two new diverters for new shower heads which we provided.
      First the work was insideca wall with an acess panel. He cut an additional 6"×6" sqaure out of the drywall avove the acess panel and left it. Not the main issue.
      This weekend we had to have a tub removed and a walkin shower installed for handicapped access in one bathroom. When the acess panel.was removed we discovered that the shut off valves were 90* to each other. There was enough room with the old tub so he just put it pushed it back in and put the panel on.
      The issue is its not the way it was and now one valve knob is outside the wall. Nothing is straight causing more install issues.
      This is the worst plumbing job I have ever seen. I would NEVER RECOMMEND Roto Rooter for even the most basic plumbing jod. Especially if it will be covered by an acess panel..
      I wish I could post pictures here. ??
      I'm sure if a licensed plumber or a supervisor cane out and looked at this workmanship they would be amazed and not in a good way.
      PLEASE do not use them.for your plumbing needs.

      Livermore, CA location.
      On December 3rd I plugged a sink to fill and forgot about it, causing water to overflow into our laundry room and then through the ceiling. I called Roto Rooter and they had someone come out to assess the damage; he said it was "so bad" they would have to cut the ceiling and walls out and extract the water, and they needed to start IMMEDIATELY. The 4th they had the landlord sign paperwork and left (even though he had told us the day prior that we couldn't wait). Came back the 5th, set up a few machines and containments, never extracted the water. The 8th they said everything was dry (except 1 room) and they did not need to cut the walls or ceilings; said he would be back Friday morning, no-showed. Showed up on Sunday morning.
      Total they spent 7 hours in our house. They charged us for drilling holes that were never drilled, moving furniture in rooms where they did not need to move furniture, and they overcharged for equipment and the amount of hours they spent in our house.
      The landlord received the estimate on 12/14. I called to dispute on 12/27; left a voicemail. Did not hear from anyone; emailed Michelle, the estimator on invoice, on 1/10. She cc'd Britton. I called Britton; he wasn't the one to talk to, said he'd refer me to Veronica. Never heard from him. On 1/25 I reached out to Veronica on my own. She gave me her # but didn't answer, I left a message. I get a call the 26th from ANOTHER saying that they can talk to me but that it is due today or else they are putting a lien on the landlord's house. After a month of trying to get ahold of them they learned how to use the phone and call me the day that the bill is due. Convenient. They argued with me and said that they could take off some of the stuff, but that they were not going to take off everything that they overcharged us for. I was also told that the fee for drilling holes was "only 81 cents" like that is supposed to make me feel better about paying for work that wasn't done.

      George was the service technician who came out to unplug a stopped-up sewer drain coming from the house. He worked diligently to open the line when he arrived around 7 pm and finished up around 8:30 pm. He was one of the most knowledgeable and professional technicians I have ever encountered.

      DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!
      THEY WILL MAKE YOU THINK THEY CARE BUT THEY JUST WANTE YOUR MONEY!
      'RE ATTACHED' PLUMBING IN MY HOME NEVER EVEN TESTED IT OUT BEFORE WRITING OFF JOB, ISSUE WAS NEVER RESOLVED OR FIXED, I HAVE PICTURES OF THE CRAPPY REPAIRS & THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES FOR THE CRAPPY WORK THEY PROVIDED!
      ALSO PAID FOR VAPOR BARRIER THAT WAS NOT INSTALLED THRU ENTIRE CRAWL SPACE EVEN THOUGH I PAID FOR IT!

      Excellent work! Came within 2 hours of submitting their easy online form at *************** The plumber Joe took the time to explain his approach to fixing our water heater after listening to our issue. We tried fixing the issue ourselves, but quickly realized that we needed a pro to complete the job. I would recommend Roto-Rooter to anyone needing a plumbing issue resolved.

      This incident occurred 12/12/22. It was a scam for work done and not approved to descale the pipes and sewer. The worker(s) coerced the tenant to proceed with the work without the approval of the owner.
      The tenants were coerced to pay up to 800 dollars and then billed close to 8,000 dollars. The workers suggested to tenants to take out a loan to pay. The owner once saw the invoice didn't apply. The invoice indicated that a loan was approved when no application was submitted by the owner. A complaint was filed with the *** Attorney General's office.
      The worker began to harass the tenants and the owner. When asked for a copy of the video the worker's response was told to pay first then the owner could see the video.

      Called Roto Rooter to look at a sump problem. They said they would be there between 8am-10am. No one ever showed. They called back every few hours stating that they are behind and will send someone soon. 7pm that night got a call stating they will not be out today and was wondering if 8am-10am the next morning was ok!! Hell no I already lost over $200 in a wasted vacation day waiting on these morons who never showed. The way I see it they owe me!!

      A pipe in our house broke that was connected to a sum pump and needed to be replaced with a new one. I called the Roto Rooter office in Westchester County. The technician who came told me the repair would cost $1,200.00 without parts, just labor and it would take 3 hours ($400.00 per hour!) When I declined his offer he told me that we could make an arrangement "among business people" and could keep it confidential he would then repair it for $600.00.
      Until today I thought that Roto Rooter is a trustworthy company but this experience was definitely not.

      The tech showed up. He explained what he would need to do. When he was explaining it sound like it was going to be a difficult job.I was surprised with the cost of parts and the flat fee of $3500 for labor. If I would have know that the job would take less than 6 hours (the actual work took 2.5 hours)and then i was charged for the tech to drive to the store to buy the parts/supplies. I should have called around or read reviews from other Roto-rootor customers that they overcharg for their service. I paid roughly $600 per hour for labor to fix the problem & time for the tech to drive to pick up the parts, plus additional $600 for supplies. Roto Rooter overcharges for their service..make sure you call around to other other plumbing companies & get multiple quotes.
