Hello my name is ***** I want to file a complaint against the tire Discounter and I took my car to have 4 new tires put on it everything was fine until they contacted me and told me that my car has the four bad tire sensors which They ask me if I want to change them, I tell them that yes, there is no problem, I look for my car and the sensor light comes on, I call and they tell me to take my car back, they are going to fix the problem, I take it and the same thing happens again sensor light on that happened 4 times and no one ever solved it for me they wanted me to continue driving my vehicle I don't know for how many more times we are in a time when gasoline is not cheap at all to be giving trips and the business does not solve the citation every time I drove my car they didn't take any information from me they just checked it and told me it was ready in 30 minutes the light would go out when that never happened I feel that if I weren't Latino all this would have been solved by now They treated me very badly, insinuating on several occasions that I was lying and I was not driving my car as they said, I am not lying at this point in my life, I just wanted them to solve a problem for which I paid and they did nothing to solve it, only that I kept driving the car that's why I come to you I'm not looking for problems just to be given the service that I deserve like any other client and that the situation be resolved

I had my car towed in to Tire Discounters on ******** *** to get checked out so someone could tell me what was wrong with it. I had told the gentleman if I didn’t answer my phone to leave a message and I would call back as soon as I got off work. I called around 3 something and was told my starter was bad and it would cost over 1100.00 to fix. I stop by the store to get a copy of the invoice. When I got home I decided to have my car towed back home and when I called the first gentleman told me I couldn’t have it towed cause it was tore apart and then I was put on hold and another gentleman comes on the phone to tell me my car was fixed and if I wanted to have them take the part back off I would have to pay for the labor when I gave them no authorization to fix my car in the first place. So I didn’t have a choice but to pay the bill due to that being my only car. I spoke with someone that took a report of the incident on August 10th 2022 and was told someone would get back with me in 24 to 48 hours. Haven’t spoke to anyone since. I’ve called and left messages but no one has returned my call. I would like my money back and the gentleman that fixed my car without my authorization should have to pay the bill.Business Response

i need my right front tire repaired. it was losing air pressure. I dropped off the car to tire discounters on friday, august 26th. we called the **** store the following morning. they told us we were the 3rd in line to be worked on. i explained i thought i may have ran over something and the tire probably needed a plug. They agreed to patch the tire. we called them saturday afternoon at approximately 2pm, after not hearing from them. they told us our car was being worked on when we called. we came out to the store an hour later and it was still in the bay. the counter person told me the car was finished and he pulled it out and parked it in front of the store. I paid $30 for the tire repair. my wife drove the car to run an errand. she told me the psi on the tire was at 37. i said that is way to high. she shut off the car and ran her errand. started the car and drove for a mile or two and the psi dropped to 33. we drove the car to piqua and on the way home the psi in the tire dropped again to 28. tire discounters in **** was closed. by the time we got home it was 27 psi. **** tire discounters was closed on sunday. i got up and checked the tire on sunday morning and it was completely flat. The tire was not repaired correctly. i want the tire replaced. i do not trust this company to fix the tire.Business Response

Car taken to Tire Discounters in ******* ** for new tires (all 4). Received call last Monday that my wheel cracked and had to be replaced. They placed my spare tire on it and they said I could safely drive it with the spare until they got the new wheel in on Wed. I drove it off the lot and it was very clearly unstable; took it back, they said the spare was overinflated (they didn't even check the pressure when they let me drive it off the lot). Never called me on Wed. Forgot to order the wheel, so the manager had to pick it up Friday last minute. Never got a call to tell me it was ready, I called at 4:45pm Friday and they lied and said they just finished. The manager then called me to apologize that they didn't call me earlier cuz the car had been done. Drove my car this morning and the right rear wheel was wobbling and clearly wasn't tightened. My son in law and his brother got it jacked up and said they didn't place wheel correctly and so much damage from rust, it never should've been put on without repair of other things first (ie: bushings). Videos to come of proof. Full refund of all products and services are being demanded. Absolutely worst experience and unprofessional behavior. They are dishonest and provide shoddy service! The car had to be towed by AAA because it was unsafe to drive!!! Unable to upload the videos. Can email separatelyBusiness Response

I purchased 4 tires from them in June of 2022. They told me that if I need an front end alignment because I purchased 4 tires I would bring vehicle in and it would be covered. I brought my vehicle in to have a front end alignment and they said it would cost me $139.00 plus tax. I checked there alignment policy on line and it appears to me that it should be covered. .Business Response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.
When I purchased my tires in June of 2022 I paid $1200 for my tires and was told I would get alignment on my tires and there policy states that as well. I went to the cold Springs, my location where I bought them and went to the ******** ** location and was told by both stores that they would not align my tires unless I paid for it. Did not pay for the alignment therefore it can cause issues with the brand new tires which won't be covered under warranty because the front end alignment wasn't done. I wonder how many people have oaid $139 when they should not have. I believe there is a brake down of communication between corporate and the stores as far as what the company warranty on alignments are. With this being said I would have not purchased my tires at the home of the FREE Alignment.

I didn't get the front end aligned at tire discounters because there policy states that I am covered. When I pointed this out to cold Springs location and Newport location they both told me that it didn't matter what the corporate website said about the warranty. My concern is how many people paid $139.00 that should not have based on tire discounts website. I bought tires from tire discounters between 3 to 5 months ago and yet to have my tires aligned and now it is causing wear problems. I think they should refund my purchase

Regarding BBB complaint ID ********
Frank,
I did not get the front end alignment in August because they insisted a free alignment was not covered even though I recently purchased a set of 4 tires (free alignment for lifetime of tires when you purchase set of 4). The only receipt I have is for my tires, which were purchased with the understanding that it included alignment for the lifetime of the tires. I did receive an alignment when the tires were installed, but needed another alignment in August. I was refused the free alignment which is what my complaint is. I would NOT have purchased these tires if the lifetime free alignment was not covered. According to 2 separate locations (**** ****** * ** and ******** **), they would not cover the alignment. I want the money spent on the tires, or at the least a prorated refund for the tires I purchased as they were purchased under false pretenses. These tires were just purchased in June 2022 and are already showing signs of wear because it needs a front end alignment. I have attached a copy of the invoice for my tires.

My son borrowed my car and had a blow-out on my 2008 Chevrolet HHR. He went to Tire Discounters and they replaced the blown out tire with a new tire. Tire Invoice: ************** * *************** First invoice was where he bought new tire on 4/6/2022. After I got the car back from son on 4/10/2022 I noticed the car pulling to the left while driving. On 4/11/2022 I purchased 3 more exact tires from Walmart because no other tire store had them in stock. I couldn’t get an appt. with Tire Discounters until 5/27/2022 for an alignment (second invoice).
After being there for 30 mins. I was advised that my alignment was correct and it didn’t need an alignment. I asked about the pulling to the left and they advised that they had moved the tire in question to the right side front and now it was pulling to the right. I asked if it was a defective tire. no response). They said they could try to move the tire to the rear and see if the pulling left. They did and the pulling stopped. I paid $143.22 for the new tire from Tire Discounters plus I paid $119.62 for an alignment that I didn’t receive. I felt the new tire from Tire Discounters was defective when it was purchased and on 5/27/2022 they refused to replace the tire, so I feel to make things right in my mind, they need to replace the tire with a new one plus refund the $119.62 for an alignment that they did not perform as they stated it was in good shape the way it wa. I had contacted by email both Tire Discounters home office and their Store Manger at the ****** Store with no reply from either.
If you need a copy of my original email I can supply it for you.
Thanks,
***** ******.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and found nothing in it except that someone would call me.Well, this Friday morning I got a call from Mike with Tire Discounters. After visiting with him, they are not going to refund the alignment as they stated they had completed an alignment but they did offer to replace the defective tire on this coming Wednesday at 11 am.
I Thank You for your help in resolving part of my issue. I am tired of dealing with it since 5/27/2022 and today is August 12, 2022 so that is long enough, so I will accept their offered settlement.
Sincerely,

On 6/17/22 I took my truck in for tires and an alignment. Invoice number is **************. When I picked up the truck nothing was said about any issues. Immediately after getting on the highway I noticed my steering wheel was about 20 degrees off center. I called them and they said bring it back and they would fix it. I took it back on 6/24/22 to have it fixed. They then called and said I had multiple bad parts, I asked why did you not tell me this last week when I brought it in? There response was I don't know. When I picked up the truck I asked again and finally one person said I am not sure why they didn't tell you last week but the tech told him when they pulled the truck in "isn't that the truck with all the bad parts?" He then told me that they did a toe and go alignment but it needs work to get it correct. I wound up having to park the truck till I got parts to fix it. In the photos you will see that there version of toe and go was only turning one of the tie rods out which threw the alignment so far out that the tires squeeled going around curves. I think this is ridiculous when I put the truck on the rack to do the work I noticed that the two front tires are now ruined where they got so chewed up. This practice of business is unprofessional, costly to me the customer because my tires are ruined, and most importantly it is a life threatening issue. Never once did they tell me any of this information. Once I get the vehicle put back together I will have to buy two more tires because they screwed up the alignment by twisting the tie rod out so far and as if that wasn't bad enough they did not tighten down the lock nut which is also very dangerous. In my opinion they just don't care it's just get the customer out of here and who cares about there safety as well as the money they spent with us. I will take the vehicle to the dealer for the alignment but Tire Discounters should replace my two tires that they ruined.Business Response
