I also expect a phone call from upper management so I can share my experience with them.Business Response

I have filed for a P.L.O.C 3 times. June 23, July 23, and in Aug 23. All 3 times I specifically asked if there was a minimum credit score needed and I was told NO. I was turned down for the Third time and keep calling back till I spoke with a "real person" to get some clarification and was told that my credit score had to be a Minimum of 670 and that the requirement was put in place back in 2021. I ASKED ALL 3 TIMES ABOUT A MINIMUM CREDIT SCORE AND THEY SAID NO MINIMUM CREDIT SCORE.
Now my credit has been hit 3 times for a loan application that I would have NEVER FILED FOR if they had been honest and answered my question upfront!
I want these hard inquiries removed from my credit report.Business Response

At the end of March 2023 I received two letters concerning delinquent 2022 property taxes.
The first was from Keystone for City Tax 2022
second was from Jordan Collection Agency for school tax 2022.
These property taxes were collected at my closing by Huntington bank
On 3/20 I spoke with Sean at Huntington who confirmed that the 2022 property taxes had not been paid (Huntington had put the wrong parcel number on the check)
On 3/30 the money was taken out of my escrow account, including the late fee of 65.99.
Luther in the Huntington Tax Dept said this was from a reassessment or additional assessment on property in 2022 *but that they were paying school tax late fees*.My property value from 2022 to 2033 have not changed nor has any additional assessment
The parcel number clerical error was corrected and the school and borough taxes paid.
On June 1 My escrow account was credited with the funds and some late fees were reimbursed BUT not the 65.99
July 10th Notice that escrow monthly payment had changed due to a 63.18 deficiency of funds.7/10 Spoke to Huntington Escrow who tried to tell me that 63.18 deficiency in the escrow was due to closing paperwork not specified as a line item that two months cushion required by law was not collected. (Seriously?)
7/10 Tiara in the Huntington tax department went through all drafts and credits on the account with me and confirmed that 65.99 was a penalty on the late city taxes that had not been credited. Said it would be 5 days for it to be processed.
on 7/28 I called back because it had NOT been credited and Tiara again who informed me that it would take two weeks to show up on escrow data on my account.
as of 8/12 the 65.99 STILL not been credited to my account.
I realize that in the grand scheme of things this is small change BUT for me, every penny counts and if they are pulling this on me they are surely doing the same to others.Business Response

Better Business Bureau:Thank you for assisting me in handling this issue. I received an email copied below from Huntington acknowledging the fee discrepancy and running an escrow analysis as requested. Please note that I have no way of knowing there was a credit on July 27, 2023 since it hasn't been posted on my online account.

On July 21st, 2023 my savings account was overdrawn (by mistake). I didn't receive the notice of this until Saturday the 22nd.
To my understanding, Huntington customers have until the end of the following business day to correct any overdraws. So on Monday the 24th I deposited $245 into my checking account. Yes, technically it was my checking and *not* my savings. But that's another thing about Huntington bank- my checking and savings accounts are interconnected.
This should have put my account back into the green by their deadline. And yet, I was charged two overdraft fees of $15 each. I never should have been charged those fees so I called this afternoon (8/10) to dispute the fees.
When I called I had to explain the 24 hour grace policy to both Huntington employees that I spoke with but especially the second one.The second woman who I spoke with (supposedly a specialist) seemed very confused. Anytime I tried to explain she would just talk circles around me and say that she couldn't see the fees on her end. I explained that the fees are in my savings account and she tried to tell me that Huntington doesn't put any fees like that on their savings accounts. I was staring at the fee as she spoke (via online banking) and I even refreshed the page a couple of times. At the end I Just gave up because it wasn't worth talking in circles but I shouldn't have been hit with those fees, because I did everything I could to avoid them.
Now I really need my money back.

There was a total of 8 fraudulent checks used to withdraw money from my account, in addition to 1 fraudulent debit. All of the checks/debits were in the same amount but the name of the business was different than my actual business and the signature did not match my actual signature. The total amount stolen from my account was $1,800.72. When I noticed the fraudulent activity, I immediately notified Huntington, froze the account, and later closed the account. I went into my local branch in Orland Park, Illinois and spoke with the branch manager. I filled out and signed an affidavit in April of 2023. I also filed a police report on August 6, 2023 at the Frankfort Police Department. After filling out the affidavit at Huntington bank back in April 2023, I received an email on May 2, 2023 from ****** ******* stating: "Huntington has determined that we were not provided notice of unauthorized forged item(s) within 30 days after your statement(s) was made available to you as required by the Rules and Regulations that govern your accounts with us; therefore, Huntington now considers this matter closed and any further dispute related to this transaction should be directed to the third party." My Huntington case number is: 01416322. I responded to the email from ****** ******* on August 5, 2023 asking to be reimbursed for the money fraudulently taken from my account and was contacted by ******* D ******** (Customer Advocacy Team) via phone on August 8, 2023 saying Huntington stands by their decision and there is nothing more they can do to help me. Huntington and the other banking institution(s) who processed these fraudulent checks should have a) noticed that the business name on the check was not the business name registered to my Business Checking Account at Huntington, b) noticed the signature did not match my signature on file for my Business Checking Account at Huntington, and c) noticed the check numbers skipped from the legitimate checks I was using for my business.Business Response

Someone hacked my Google account and spent $380.39 on a game. Because I have spent money on a game before and they sent a text verifying it was me they are now saying the charge is valid. Even though it's a totally different game. I even went and filed a police report but the still will not give me my money back. I have been fighting them on this over a month now. So I am done. I'm just going to close my account and blast the with negative reviews every where I can.Business Response

I was told to make a payment by July 26th 2023 for my auto loan and my account would not be charged off for late payment. My car was in a total loss and I have been going back and forth with my GAP company trying to get this paid, which Huntington knows about. I made a payment on July 21st 2023, but on July 31st they charged my account off anyways and on my credit report it says “charged off as bad debt profit and loss-write off” . This is not right and I was mislead by this company and my account should not have been charged off let alone have that kind of reason on my account knowing that they had a gap payment coming. They also just cashed 2 checks from my refunds after July 21st that I have proof of from the dealership that totaled to another $2,000. Leaving my balance to around $3,000. They still charged off my account with over $5,000 of bad debt. This needs to be resolved and fast.Business Response

Hello, I have received communication from Huntington bank over the phone. So far what was discussed is my account charge off was reversed and one of my checks was found. They still have not found one of my checks for 1,500 which I still find very irresponsible. But they are looking. They also waived a few late fees as well. I have now sent them the information my gap company needs from them which they are aware of but chose to send it to me instead through the mail only to delay things to get closer to another charge off/ payment I would need to make. I am still waiting for this to be completely resolved. And sending it to me is not right, they had everything they needed to send the information through email right to my gap company to get things moving. But they chose not to and send it through the mail

Gentlemen:
We secured a loan from you on May 16, 2023 in the amount of $60,872.00. The interest rate was 7.49%, with the first payment due June 30, 2023.
I have prepared an amortization schedule for this loan that shows a balance due after the June payment being $60,688.97. We made this payment of $565.44, and it cleared our bank on June 16, 2023.
Today, we called for loan payoff and were surprised to learn we had a balance of $61, 167.07. We need an explanation as to why our payoff is HIGHER than our original loan amount.
Also note that my amortization schedule shows a payment of $563.95, not the $565.44 you stated in the payment coupons. Over years, this would add up, and for you, if you overcharged all of your customers, this would amount to a huge windfall.
We have, today, wire transferred the payoff amount, plus $12.47 more to cover the contingency of a one day delay in the wire being applied.Business Response

I opened 2 accounts with this bank on 7/27/2023. Deposits totaled $52,700.
On 7/31/2023 I received a phishing attempt on my mobile phone and reported it to the bank and they asked me to come into the bank to verify. The bank employee confirmed it was a phishing attempt and that since I only clicked on the text but did not enter any information I was "probably" safe.
I asked how did this happen to begin with after JUST opening the account and that I had concerns about their security. This money is my mothers and I need it to provide for her. He explained that I could put a "hold" on the accounts as added security and that they would call me to verify any transactions were legit. This sounded like what I needed until I could be sure her money was safe.
When he called the dept to initiate the holds; he was told that they were closing my accounts and I was not permitted to open another. I was then told that the funds in the accounts would not be returned to me until 4-6 weeks form then and that they would "mail" me a check. I protested and said that was not acceptable.
I wanted to pick up a cashiers check from the bank no later than 8/7 and they told me "sorry, that is just not possible".
I do not have checks or debit cards on these accounts as I had JUST opened them 4 days earlier.
This should be criminal that someone can hold your money for that long and say they will mail it to you.
I am furious and want my mothers money returned to me! I need to be able to pay her rent and other expenses and they have NO rights to her money!

I was paid from my UPS job and went to Aldi to go shopping. I moved my money to my savings account and woke up to all my money gone with no explanation. $763.86 just mysteriously disappeared from my saving without any explanation. BBB Business Profiles are provided solely to assist you in exercising your own best judgment. BBB asks third parties who publish complaints, reviews and/or responses on this website to affirm that the information provided is accurate. However, BBB does not verify the accuracy of information provided by third parties, and does not guarantee the accuracy of any information in Business Profiles.
When considering complaint information, please take into account the company's size and volume of transactions, and understand that the nature of complaints and a firm's responses to them are often more important than the number of complaints.
BBB Business Profiles generally cover a three-year reporting period, except for customer reviews. Customer reviews posted prior to July 5, 2024, will no longer be published when they reach three years from their submission date. Customer reviews posted on/after July 5, 2024, will be published indefinitely unless otherwise voluntarily retracted by the user who submitted the content, or BBB no longer believes the review is authentic.
