ZERO stars. These people are crooks who want to get their hands in your pocket and take as much money from you as possible. I opened a credit card with them through a dental office after receiving some dental services. I was told I was getting a promotional agreement to pay the balance in 24 months and I would not have to pay any interest. I put the account on automatic payments and told them to take the payments in a way as to finish paying the balance at the end of the 24 months. Now I received a statement saying that they were adding $2668.01 dollars to my balance because I had not paid the balance within the promotional period. I spoke to a representative and explained the whole situation and I was told that it is not their fault that I didnt pay the balance in time. It was their fault that they didnt take the right amount of money for the monthly payments. I will close this account and never do any business with them again. Please be careful and dont fall in the same trap that I did.

I applied and received an approval for the Petco Pay **********. They now want a picture of my drivers license, ssn card and bank statement via unsecured email or postal mail. Both are bad options for security reasons. They claim they need it for my protection. Huh? Sending sensitive information unsecured is not protecting me. Not doing it.

ZERO STARS. What a terrible experience. I am at least comforted to know that I'm not alone, based on other reviews here. I had a J **** store Comenity card for many years. recently interest rates were raised to 36% and based on that ridiculous usury style rates, I decided to close my account. Called 7/10 to close the account. Paid off the balance. Knew they would charge interest for the period, so went back in two days later to pay off the balance. Case closed, right? Oh no! They charged a MINIMUM INTEREST charge of $2 for August, but since I did not go back in to pay that (THE ACCOUNT WAS CLOSED SO WHY WOULD I EVEN LOOK??) they charged me a late fee in September and now again for October, when I casually decided to sign in and double check the balance. Now after all that "loyalty" that they benefitted from, when I called in about it, a GREAT company would have written it off. But that is not to be. I paid the $6 under duress and under protest only because I value my impeccable credit rating. This whole process and MINIMUM INTEREST SCAM should be illegal, especially when someone has paid off and closed an account. There is NO CREDIT AVAILABLE for spending, but they feel entitled to apply money to the balance for their INTEREST SCAM. Comenity controls most of the department store cards, and I've closed them all. I will not use any card associated with them.

No secure upload link provided for the most sensitive documents the bank could have requested from me. Email or mail? Those are lackluster options in the data safety realm. Pretty uninterested (in providing any recourse) customer service team as well.

I closed my account and paid it in full. the company representative told me there was a nine dollar fee for paying by phone I told her that's fine just close my account. And this unprofessional representative did not charge my account for the nine dollars so now I have to pay another nine dollars to pay my account in full wow very unprofessional.

"SCREWED UP" TRANSFER In Apr 2023 I purchased a computer from ****, and I put $1,500 into a no interest plan on my **** account. I set up a $125.00 automatic payment on the 15th of the month which started in June 2023. There would be 12 payments starting on 6/16/2023 which would pay the balance by 5/15/2024 within the period for the no interest plan.I found out on 7 Nov 2023 that my **** account had been transfer to Comenity Bank without my knowledge, and as a result my Oct 2023 auto pay to **** was cancelled. I immediately made $125 manual pay for Oct and setup the new auto pay to Comenity. As a result of this "screwed up" transfer to Comenity, the balance was not paid by the end of no interest period. Apparently, the $125 manual pay that I made for Oct was credited to Nov. So, without my knowledge, the Oct pay was missed. The new auto pay did complete to plan until 6/16/2024. Comenity has charged me $311.05 for their "screwed up" transfer, resulting in my account being in default of the original plan timing. I have asked Comenity to refund the total overpayment, but they are too "greedy" and refused to do so.PLEASE DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH **** AND COMENITY BANK. THEY WILL NOT CONSIDER MY REQUEST AS VALID AND I'M NOT SATISFIED WITH RESULT.

My payment due for 7/11/2024 was $37.96. I made a clerical error and sent a check for $37.16. My payment was short $.82. Over the next 2 billing cycles I was charged $20.94 in interest. This is usury and it must be remedied.

One star only because this is not a 0. This is all concerning Comenity Bank, for ********** stores. Beginning 7/25/24 I mailed a check ($376.65) to pay my ****** account balance, the check was returned because it was damaged in transit or when the envelope was opened? On 8/11/24 the day I received the check back I went to the ****** store and paid ($376.65). On 8/19/24 I received a statement for ($417.27), this included the $376.65 + $30.00 late fee + $10.62 Interest charge on purchases this period. So I went back to the ****** store to dispute the late charge and interest payment. They called Comenity Bank and they agreed to disregard the $30.00 late fee but not the interest payment. Therefore I paid the ($10.62) while at the store. On 9/3/24 I receive a letter from Comenity Bank dated 8/20/24 confirming that my account is closed, but I have a current balance of ($.19) and also stated that I would continue to get statements until I paid the 19cents. Therefore on that day I mailed them 19 cents. On 9/6/24 I received a statement with a balance of ($1.81), I'm assuming interest? So I phoned Comenity Bank and bottom line it was more interest, so while on the phone with them I paid the $1.81. Please tell me this is the end, I really have another life that is much more enjoyable.

They seem to forget that they make money on unpaid balances. They have called/texted/emailed daily (sometimes more than once a day) about a past-due balance of $37.00. It was 1 billing cycle late. This is on a total credit allowance of $2,000.00. Totally unacceptable. Have set the full open amount (under $50) to pay this week and plan to cancel the card as soon as it posts. *************.

I paid in full, never been late, always paid more than the minimum amount but they never updated any of the payments with the credit unions. It shows on my credit a high balance, 18% credit used, and last payment received in April 2023. I called the customer service and I was told that is not their fault even though I told the representative that there is no way that all of them will have an issue, all my other credit cards are being up to date on the balance and usage and I have the same alert on all my credit cards. According to them about 6 credit cards and the credit unions have an issue updating but they are doing everything right. I had to dispute with the credit unions and BBB. I could pay the balance in full from the beginning but I was taking advantage of the no interest for 2 yrs that was not worth it. I didn't wait for the 2 yrs period and I paid it in 1 yr. Don't let them take advantage just because they'll offer you a promotion, it might come with consequences.
