I'm not a satisfied customer, and regret doing business with comenity. No app, no Mail, and late fee at 1 day late.

Stay away! One of their agents gave me an incorrect balance due date, so I missed paying off my balance by three days which cost me more than $700. When I tried to speak to a manager, they quickly dismissed me.

I made the transition from DFS to the "*************** site in October 2023. During this re-registration, I've set-up my automatic payment to every 4th of the month like my previous setup.
On November 20, I received a call stating that my account is overdue. When I called with questions, I was told that the automatic payment will not begin until after the first monthly billing cycle; funny enough, there was no statement of “1 month billing cycle delay” during my payment setup. I paid half of my balance with the assumption that my automatic payment would pay off the rest on December 4 and disregarded the slight inconvenience as it didn’t affect me much and I was not charged with any late fees.
On December 12, I checked my account with the expectation with 0 balance. Surprise, surprise, not only it’s not 0, but it also now has a big fat interest instead. When the balance was supposed to be 0, it is now the previous balance plus the interest as the automatic payment did not charge me. When I called to dispute the charge, the person I spoke to was not knowledgeable at all. It took me a very, very long time to explain the context and issue over and over, but the person either did not understand the language or still reading the training manual. Aside from aggravating me, there was no resolution offered. Resolution should have been, “I pay off the balance and they waved the interest as there should be no interest if their system was functioning correctly”.
Before the transition, I had no issue. After the transition, it sounds like those SCAMMY sites or phone calls you get owing money from IRS. BEWARE, THERE IS LITTLE YOU CAN DO AS THEY OFFER NO RESOLUTION. AS MENTIONED, LIKE THOSE SCAMMY SITES FROM SOME COUNTRY, YOU CAN ONLY WAIT THAT ENOUGH PEOPLE ARE AFFECTED SO A BIGGER POWER WILL MOVE.

COMENITYCAPITALBANK/IKEA I paid off my credit card to a zero balance. I asked if I owed anything else they said no. I got a 2.00 interest payment and that went up to 100.00 in 3 months. Never got an email, phone call that I owed money the only way I found is through my credit report that dropped my creit fro m 750 to 580. This is horrible. They never once called me, emailed me or wrote me to tell me this.
      Delinquent Payment
COMENITYCAPITALBANK/IKEA account has become 90 Days Late
Between Oct 16, 2023 and Nov 15, 2023, your COMENITYCAPITALBANK/IKEA credit card status changed from "60 Days Late" to "90 Days Late".
On-time payments are key building blocks for good credit scores. Most accounts require a monthly minimum payment. If you don't pay that amount on time, you could harm your Payment History and your credit score.
I have the exact reasons that jack has to file this complaint. Violations of illegial practice.
I am disputing all credit marks and late fees on my account. Comenity Capital Bank got my contact information incorrect when they ported over my account from the prior lender, and never called me. I was not able to register my account because of this. Comenity Capital Bank did not follow FDCPA rules by contacting me about the delinquency as I received 0 collections phone calls and 0 collections letters. Comenity Capital Bank provided me the incorrect address for Credit Disputes when I called them (did not match the 1st statement I received 12/02/23). FDCPA violation - I called Comenity Capital Bank and I was not advised of any mini-Miranda for collections purposes, which is an illegal practice, I was only advised my account was 30 days past due. TCPA violation

Since my Wayfair card switched to bread rewards, it has been nothing but a headache. I’ve called at least 6 times between September and now because my card doesn’t work and they literally can’t tell me why their system won’t allow them to issue me a new card. I will be closing out my account after being with the previous company for 6 plus years.

I would give less stars if allowed. I received a phone call last week about an unpaid balance with Comenity Capitol Bank. I paid my balance with a representative and assured it was paid in full late summer 2023 so I did not understand how I could still have a balance. They explained there was interest that rolled over to the next month which incurred a $2 bill which I had no knowledge of cause they still havent updated their records of my current email to notify me of any changes to my account. So this $2 charge gained late fees and more interest charges. They waived some of the charges, but still had to pay $37 to "clear my account". I checked today, they still reported me to credit bureau so my credit took a hit of 53 points! I called Comenity today 12/6/23 requesting to speak with a supervisor and was denied. I was asked not to raise my voice or swear and ultimately was told they reversed the delinquency and that I can check my credit later. This is not my first incident with this company, I will never use their service again.

I was harmed by this company by no fault on my behalf. I had a Dell account that was transferred to Comenity Capital Bank about two months ago without my knowledge. Today 12/02/23 I received my first correspondence from Comenity Capital Bank and I learned that my ACH was cancelled without my approval, causing my account to report as 60 days past due/2 payments delinquent.

The amount due I was quoted was in accurate and did not match with the Comenity Capital Bank website.
TCPA violation - Comenity Capital Bank had a phone number on file that was not authorized.

Out of my years with commenity bank and using them for four different stores I’m officially done with them. Once I am able to pay off my totals I’m canceling each card. Do not bank with them. I’ve paid my bills on time, I have the dates, amounts paid and confirmation numbers and all of sudden I’m over a month late. Further down the call I all of sudden have other cards I didn’t pay as well (even though I have those documented that I paid them as well) and finally when I reached a their customer complaint they had me stay on the wait dial to only disconnect the line after a minute or two. They did this as well when I tried to get with a supervisor but that time they pretended they couldn’t hear me. I can’t wait to be rid of this bank.

The AAA changed over my AAA credit card to Comenity Bank. The previous bank was just fine. My attempts to pay 100% of monthly charges by electronic banking to Comenity resulted in claims I wasn’t paying, with resultant late fees and interest charges. I refused to pay claiming my local bank had sent E-checks (recorded as pending payments by my local bank). I had to protest by phone and in writing until they started suddenly discovering the payments, many weeks after my bank mailed checks, as apparently Comenity has no fast E-connection to my local very large bank. The problems recurred, Comenity has trashed my credit rating from Excellent down to Fair. I told them I wanted to close the account when this was all settled, but they closed it down before it was all settled.
I have complained to two of the credit bureaus, but they move glacially on such matters.
I have complained to AAA which cut me a break on our membership fee, but that doesn’t help my credit rating.
Comenity’s service starts poor with phone representatives who are incomprehensible to American standard language speakers through to the inane responses to written protests…and the dispute is about them not being able to record payments made in full and to keep adding on interest and penalties during my dispute.

I had a credit card though Comenity Capital Bank for Big O Tires. I paid my Sept. payment a few days late and received a late fee for Oct. I accepted the late fee and paid it on Oct. 8 2023. The payment was due on Oct. 10, 2023. They again sent me a late fee notice. When I called they said that the late fee was due to it not being posted until Oct. 13, 2023. When I complained that they could post it anytime and I would have to pay another late fee, they said that there was nothing they could do. Most Credit Cards have a grace period for payments that were made on time but have not been received. This is one bank that I will not be doing business with in the future. I give this company a one star only because it doesnt allow for less than one.
