This bank is run by a bunch of crooks!! They received my money- told me they didn't, threatened my that if I did not pay what that would do and the additional charges they would put on me. Meanwhile- they had my money!!!
I have cancelled my credit card with them. I have never dealt with such a bunch of thieves!!!
      Stay away from them!!!!

Terrible service to help customers correct billing errors and other account errors preventing the sending out of statements, credit card, setting up account on line. They are only interested in collecting delinquent fees that they have created by not allowing the changes to the address needed and to give account information to set up on line accounts. My name, phone and social security numbers matched their information with the exception of correct mailing address and wrong date of birth. This is related to wyndham vacation account used for down payment of account. ******* corrected errors immediately and by telephone verifications. Comenity will not and related send a blind letter to their Ohio address for correction as their customer care representative "****" laughed at me for being angry and not paying my current due that I have sent them last month for several hundred dollars with no statement or receipt and balance to my supposit account.

Worst cc company! Opened a cc with Sally’s Beauty made one charge paid in full over phone. Asked if this was everything I owe because I will not be using again. Somehow I had a 2.00 balance that ended up having late fees. They were to waive all fees but they did not back on phone. Ended up just paying 10.06 with them waiving rest of the fees. Nope had to get back on phone. Finally everything was waived I cancelled card and have a credit of 6.00. BUT the reported my credit! I called they will not remove. I have to dispute and this takes 30 days. Their mistake but my time and perfect credit score are impacted. Bad business!!!!

I closed my account in March 10, 2022. I still continue to be charged late fees on my credit card account.

Every time I pay off any of the cards I have that are held with Comentiy Capital Bank, I receive a "minimum finance charge" the following month. I have experienced this on 3 separate store cards more than 4 times in the past 6 months. The most recent example: I paid off the card February 1, 2023, received a minimum finance charge 2 weeks later. I have to contact them every time to get this resolved. Getting through to someone takes at least an hour. On top of that, it takes almost 2 weeks for my online payments to be processed, even sometimes through their website. I think they are borderline trying to defraud their customers.

I signed up to get a credit card with ******* *** **** ****, and they both go through Comenity capital bank. I was trying to close my account for over a year and they kept adding late fees after everything was paid off and each time I spoke to a customer representative they said that it is now paid off. Hoping that it is actually paid and closed out now because I just spoke to them yesterday. But every month they send a text or letter in the mail saying there have been late fees occurred. And expect me to pay the late fees. I have probably paid over $500 in late fees for nothing. I just want my accounts closed with them and for them to stop contacting me saying there are late fees. I don’t know what else I can do but I think I am being scammed. Comenity capital bank is a joke, and I hope that no one else has to go through the struggle. Please avoid Comenity capital bank at all costs.

I received a Sephora/Comenity Visa card in mail today 2/21/23. My wife nor I did not request it, so I called the customer service # on the back of the card. I called 2-3 times and explained to the "rep" what happened and they said they'd transfer me to "Account Protection" and waited 20 minutes before hanging up. I the called Sephora hdq in San Francisco and talked to a supervisor who told me to talk to the credt card Company and to file a police report. He kept trying to distance his company from the credit card company. He transferred me to the same "Caribbean"
office. I finally asked the rep to cancel my card and to send me an email confirming her action (not done yet..said to give 24 hrs. Their automated service kept asking for accnt # and ss#, and I gave them only accnt # and 4 last digits. I want someone high up in the credit card # to be sure my card is cancelled and not to issue me another one. It would be nice for a sephora mgr to be concerned also.

Received a letter indicating they wanted to “finish processing your Sephora Visa credit card application”. I have never applied for such a card, but received an alert from my bank that there had been an inquiry on my credit. Be aware! ********

I filed a complaint in January and unfortunately, I am unable to sign in to add to the complaint. Comenity is also Bread Financial and apparently, they are also the MySmile program. I was not told this when opening the MySmile card. I did sign up for the MySmile program in October at my dental office. I was told they run credit and open the account when I am approved. This makes sense to me. Comenity ran my credit in January and my credit check showed a new account opened in January. Since I did not open a new account in January, I called, and they were not able to help me. They also did not tell me it was the MySmile Program. I spoke to their fraud investigation, and they still did not tell me it was MySmile. I then filed a complaint.
I did NOT open and account in January, this is incorrect. I called back after I filed the BBB complaint and the lady in fraud found my complaint. She told me at that time that it was the MySmile account. I ask why it was a new account in January when I opened it in October. She said they do batch credit checks. I think this means they don't actually check people's credit before giving a card. When I applied for MySmile I was told they do check before providing the card. This doesn't make sense to me, and I had full rights to file a complaint. They could have explained it earlier and they could have explained they did not open a new account. It is my understanding that this is just one account, if I find out later that it is more than one account, I will file another complaint. It is my job to protect myself.

Comenity Capital Bank practices fraud and deception. There was a lawsuit several years ago for banks that practice this type of usury. I paid the fictitious late fee but will seek other legal remedies.
