1 starI had AAA credit card with a zero balance. AAA sold the credit card to Comenity Capital who then charged me $50 for a ghost charge. They can't explain what it is they claim i purchased but just want me to pay it. Now they have increased it to $80 for late fees. I have already written them and called them and they don't care. Now I am trying to dispute the charge with Experian. These a-holes need to be investigated for racketeering as I am not the only victim if you read all the other complaints against them. This they are headquarter in another state this is felony wire fraud in addition to the felony racketeering charge. The *** and all his a**** staff need to go to prison for this.Review fromDenise C

1 starthey are not familiar with the concept of ****************** I am cutting up my cards right now, while waiting for customer service to come on the line and explain why their agents are clueless and useless - if you have this card, I suggest that you destroy it and acquire a card from a legitimate provider - leaving "one star" because "no stars" is not available as an optionReview fromTanille D

1 starSigned up at Ulta to receive 20% off on a big purchase. I have never received a card even though I am told a card is being mailed out every time that I call. After five months and five phone calls, I went over to the BBB to confirm my concerns. How is Mastercard allowing this to happen? Come on Mastercard and Comenity Capital Bank, DO BETTER.Review fromMaria C.

1 star*** sold my AAA **** credit card account to Comenity Capital Bank. I was never notified about this change by ***. I found out about the change when my CC was denied while buying tires for my car. After several tries I finally reached a rep at Bread Financial/ Comenity Bank. I was told I would be sent new CC in **** days. I was also told that I needed to pay my balance off because they didn't think I would receive the cars before the due date. I paid the balance off with a ECheck. Three weeks later, I received a email from Comenity that I had a ***** balance. I called the company and asked why since it had been 3 weeks and I still had not received my new cards. I told them I was afraid someone may have stollen the new cards and was using them. They checked the activity and told me that the $***** was a roll over from my old AAA **** account. I asked them why I hadn't received my cards yet, that it had been 3 weeks and they said I just needed to wait. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told I could not at that time. I asked if I could get access to my account on line . They sent me a link and when I tried to get on, it told me I needed my acct number from my CC. I told them I didn't have a card or acct number and could not access the **********************. I asked them to email me the acct number and they said they weren't allowed to do that. I waited another week. Still no cards. In the mean time I received a email telling me they sent me a statement for my account with my account number on it. It has been 10 days and I still haven't received the statement. I called the company again this morning. I paid my balance by Echeck and cancelled my account. I told the rep everything I had gone through and that I didn't feel safe dealing with their company. The Rep cancelled my account, gave me a confir # and said I would receive a letter that the acct was cancelled once the ECheck cleared. I would steer clear of this company. **************** not reliable.Review fromJessica F.

1 starThis company is a fraud and the worse experience we have ever been through I called yesterday and spoke to a manager who goes by the name of ***** she aimed your a huge bank yet when I said I wanted to file a complaint a against her after she called me a condescending liar because I was calling in a fourth time to resolve a website issue (which she then told me I was the only customer to ever have experience that problem) and when I asked her why the previous manager that helped me three weeks ago said several customers were having the same issue she then name called me. I then spent 1hour43min with another supervisor who finally concluded that there were several issues with the website and that it wasnt my fault. *** never felt so sick to my stomach knowing that this awful of a company who supports toxic managers like this actually exist. Not only am I telling all of my friends and family how bad your company is and its unethical practice but Ive made sure every review and social media outlet is aware as well. By the way the manager who called me a condescending liar is also dead wrong regarding fake confirmations, their website repeatedly states ach Payment is all set I even get email confirmations that payments have been made then when I called in to customer care they confirm its never been set up and there is a true glitch. So whos the idiot? The customer or the company that hires such toxic individuals who are abusive to its customers. We have been with this company for a month and none of our payments made have gone through. Their website has been down for 3 days which I have screen shots of and will be canceling all services. Considering weve had this card for 18 years with excellent high balance pay off amounts this is truly their detrimental loss. The only way you can make a payment is to pay their $9 fee over the phone and wait on hold for 1-3 hours this is fraudReview fromBill B

1 starThe transfer from **** of America to Comenity with my AAA credit card has been a nightmare. I question the validity of Comenity. I have called numerous times and to get through is VERY difficult. They ask for your 9 digit card number and my number has 16 digits-response is we cannot locate your account. Just today(11/6) I called and was told I owe $9.00 and mail check ASAP. Called 30 minutes later and was told no record of owing $9.00. Was told my bill is mailed second of month but still have not received it. I have no faith in this **** and am seriously checking out other credit card possibilities. I wonder how many othe AAA member caught up in this change having similar experiences. My rating at this time is far less than one star. Had to leave a 1 star rating but no stars less than that available. **************** 11/06/22Review fromMary C

1 starComenity Capital Bank responded to two messages I entered on the Website for ****************************** Club. My issue is that my $12,000 loan was paid in full within a 9-month period between Feb 2022 & Sept. 2022. However, my credit report still shows a balance of $5,700 which was last reported in June 2022. I have requested they report the account paid in full twice & they sent the same blanket message twice, that due to a system upgrade "we have chosen not to report account updates to credit bureaus at this time". I don't know how to make them update my credit report. Any assistance would be appreciated greatly.Review fromwael a

1 starmy name is ***************, i was offered 6 months interest free from vacation club, and since i signed with this bank there were no communication from comentiy capital bank, i didn't receive my credit card or any bank statement. i had to go on line find their contact information to make sure i make the payment. no one called me from that bank within the first 6 months. on July 1st, 2022 i have called them and require about my due balance to pay the amount in full. comenity capital bank suggested to call back within 7 days to figure out how much do i owe including penalty or interest fees. so i called them on July 9th and paid the whole amount and i explained to them about the miss communication in the last six months period and they advised that i owe them $270.00 in penalty and they suggested to file a complaint with the management which i did and they said we will disputed within the next 90 day. after ******************************************************** for the balance due. at this point i feel cheated and discriminated against because the poor communication and never once i had someone to answered that seems like they know what to do. so please help meReview fromTao W

1 starWORST **************** Ever I wish I can give negative ratings or zero starts. I have been using bank/card services with so many banks and Comenity is definitely the WORST I have ever seen. They issued Ikea credit cards rewards through certificates at the end of the monthly statement without notifying and there are short windows for you to use them before they expire. When I figured it out, six certificates already been expired and they refused to re-issue. Fine, I paid for my fault. Then I got three certificates from the July statement, $15 each and $45 in total, which will be expired on 10/31. However, no matter we went to the store to use them or tried online, showing they are invalid certificates. Called customer service back and forth, wasted TWO HOURS, and they are not able to resolve the issues and kicking me to Ikea customer service. But seriously, how could Ikea customer service know how to deal with it since the certificates are issued by the bank (verified other certificates for other month statements worked which means not Ikea system issue). They tried to kick me again to **** after I re-called and I asked to speak to the supervisor. Another ONE HOUR, not resolved. SPEACHLESS...... Please definitely avoid this bank in the future!!!
