BOA sold our account to this company....we have not received any account information or new cards to reflect the change... for the past 2 weeks (Oct 17-31)....I have had horrible customer service....I was not given reference call numbers as requested....turns out that Comenity Bank uses the DATE/TIME of the call as the call reference number....whenever I asked to be transferred to a supervisor, I was placed on hold for **** minutes with Silence....no "on hold music"...I was a telephone operator for over 30 years....I KNEW I WAS BEING MUTED while on hold, I was never transferred to a supervisor.....I was unmuted coz I could hear laughing and background noises, then I'd be disconnected....I ALWAYS write down date, time, and person I talk to.....Finally, today, I was actually transferred to a senior accounts supervisor and I told ***** of all the in-excuseable and lack of help I had been given....she explained step by step, each question I had and how/why it was handled that way....she was quiet when I mentioned the mute calls, so I can assume that is something they're aware of....BOTTOM LINE, ***** was a fantastic help, and she helped changed my opinion of the company... and I am hoping that this will be a good experience going forward with this Bank....2 starts only because of *****'s help, if not for her, this would have been a 1 star review because there is no Zero Stars available for this review.....Their service reps need better training and monitoring of calls...as long as this continues, this bank will lose all of the ***** customers they acquired....we were with BOA for over 10 years and never had horrible customer service like this.....

**** of America went over to Comenity ****. I was never notified. I tried to make a payment on my **** of America website on the due date of October 3, 2022. It was closed. I called ***************** They gave me a number to call Comenity. I called Comenity. They told me I had no account. On October 14, 2022, I called Comenity again. They told me that my account was closed. On October 28, 2022 I got an e-mail for an account number ending in 4 digits and told me that I received my new credit card. Never received card, credit card statement, or anything else. I can't even make an on-line payment. I called Comenity on October 31, 2022 and was disconnected 3 times, transferred 3 times, transferred to collections who told me I was in arrears and they wanted 2 payments paid over the phone. I told them I never got a new credit card, never got any account statement, or even a new account number. Yet, they wanted me to make a payment over the phone. This is obviously a major SCAM going on. If they attempt to ruin my credit, I will *** them in Federal Court under the Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act ("FCRA").

A vacation account was opened in my name without my permission. When I attempted to escalate the issue and file a formal complaint, the escalation team representative said that when you give someone your driver's license, that authorizes that individual to open any line of credit in your name regardless of whether you want it or not. I have given my driver's license to the saleswoman at a timeshare to verify my identity and repeatedly said at the meeting that I was declining the offer to make a purchase. Comenity Bank said it didn't matter if I wanted it or not, they were allowed to apply for AND open a line of credit in my name because it was in the "fine print". I didn't receive any paperwork with "fine print" because I never authorized it in the first place. The rep with Comenity Bank admitted that everything is done electronically meaning they never actually knew for a fact that I had signed any paperwork with this so called fine print (which I did not), but she repeatedly insisted that if I gave them my driver's license for any reason at all, that opening the line was completely legal. "This was done over a year ago, so what does it matter?" Do not do business with this bank - once they have your information, it is clear that they believe that it is legal to do whatever they want with it.

Comenity Bank provides the master card for BJs. I paid my balance in full on my BJs account within days after getting my statement and the payment in full posted on my account. I purchased gas at BJs fuel within a week. Within a few days thereafter, I received an email saying that I had a minimum payment due on my account that I had to pay by November 4th. I called the customer service for ******************** and was told eventually by a supervisor that the "reminder" email was really not telling me that I had to pay the minimum amount due as indicated, but that the reminder email was just a "courtesy" to customers who might forget to pay their credit card bill. I though had paid in full. The supervisor was surly and dismissive and treated me as though I was an idiot. She eventually removed me from these courtesy emails, but the system smacks of a breach of the credit card agreement with Comenity. Comenity should stop this practice. I gave one start because i had to.

I am 59, a veteran, retired, credit score in the high 700's and can't even apply for credit because I have ******* Wireless as my cell phone carrier. Bread Pay considers all customers with ******* to be pre-paid customers (I am not) and a credit risk. So, I am being discriminated against - judged by - who my cell phone carrier is, not my credit worthiness.

I have been paying off a $2000 loan for 4 years now, I've paid it off in full twice and the bill never goes down. They always increase the amount of my account and their is literally not a way to contact them through phone or email or anything. They do not have a customer service of any kind, you cannot pay off the loan and it will continue to negatively affect your credit no matter what you do. This cannot be legal and there has to be a way out of this. I can't be stuck paying off a loan I got when I was 20 for the rest of my life.

They took over my old account and I didn't find out about the switch until I tried to pay my credit card bill and I was locked out of my account. Then it turned into phone call after phone trying to find out what happened and where my new card was. They said they notified everyone back in June or July of this year, I NEVER received any notification or a new credit card. You need your new card a activate your account. Now my old account bill is to be carried over to new account which I can't get to. My bill is overdue, and they are now messing with my credit. I called them 4 times and each time they say your card is on its way starting in September. This last time, which was 2 days ago, they said I will have it in 48 hours, today is 48 hours and still no card. Now I'm reporting them, not that I'm sure it will help me get my card or into my account.

I got a credit card with gamestop and apparently the payments were done through comenity. When I was late with a payment, they called a few times because I I didn't know the number. I had asked about it and they said that they are allowed to spoof their number and that it says so on the statement. I went through the statement and found nothing that could corroborate that statement. Now when they call, it either says fraud, spam, some random number or account services. They can't be a legitimate company if they straight up lie like that to their customers

I paid off my credit card back in July! And they still have not updated my credit. I am trying to purchase a house and I have contacted them numerous times. And all they tell me is that they have a new system and have decided not to report balances of credit cards! I have 5 with that company and have been paying them off or down so I can purchase a house. How can a company decide that for you? I'm sure if I went and purchased ****** on that credit card they will report right away!

This is the worst customer service in the world. I haven't been able to access my account since June. I have tried calling a dozen times. I have a $500 credit on my account and I can't get them to issue a credit. Absolutely HORRIBLE.
