Edit Description of Complaint:My wife was hospitalized for 7 months. I decided to look for a place that could help my son with his school homework. This place promised that my son in 6 months would be the best student and that it would be a school specializing in children with disabilities. My son needs special help this tutoring school left my son alone and the lessons undone. My son spent 2 hours inside this place doing nothing. I have photos and messages exchanged with the owner of this school about different situations. Everything this school promised did not happen. This school has been sending invoices for months and my son has not been there for years because the kind of help my son needs this school does not have the capacity to do the service and they said they had specialized people so I believed it and it was not true. This place does not respond to messages about my financial situation because they send an invoice for a service that was not done and increase the payment amount. This place used my credit and in the first month I received an invoice for 7 thousand dollars to pay and my son had not even started, then they left my son alone due to lack of teachers and unable to attend to the number of people, and they promised that he would have support for disability which is not true. I have already proved my situation and this place does not respond. I need a solution because I was a victim of false advertisement. This place does an evaluation every month to see if he is learning and they said that my son was doing very well with the tutoring, my son didn't learn anything and even did summer school to try to improve his school grade. Nothing changed and more than 7 thousand dollars were withdrawn from my account in the first month, my son stayed in that place for 4 months and left because there were no teachers and returned without doing his homework. Everything the advertisement says is not true. This tutoring school didn't help at all.

WE GOTTEN TWO E-MAILS ADVISING OF SAME BUT WITHOUT ESTABLISHING AN ON LINE ACCOUNT THE INFORMATION IS NOT RETRIVABLE.WE HAVE TRIED PHONE (WAITED OVER 10 MINUTES AND AS LONG AS 22 MINUTES WITHOUT ANYONE ANSWERING THE ******* E-MAIL (SAID IT WAS NOT SECURE), WRITTEN CORRESPONDENCE AND ANYTHING ELSE THAT I THOUGHT MIGHT WORK.EVIDENTLY, THEIR REPUTATION IS NOT VERY GOOD (BEST WE SAW WAS ONE STAR), AND THE HIGHER INTEREST RATE IS NOT WORTH IT AS THERE ARE TWO MANY COMPANIES OFFERING COMPARABLE RATE.

PREDATORY LENDER... BEWARE!!!! We financed some dental work on a zero interest card for 12 months, which was subsequently sold to **************** We made all regular monthyl payments, and then paid off the balance in full prior to the grace ****** of 0% interest expiring. We got a confirmation that it was paid off in full, and the payment showed on a statement as zero owed. We made the assumption that the account was paid off and would be closed. Fast forward 2 months later when the interest kicks in and my wife gets a new bill with a late fee and interest charged for the balance we paid off in May. When we went in to the account online to see what what going on, we realized that after accepting the payment, and printing a statement with zero balance owed, they refused the payment, backed the payment out, and returned it to our *** bank. It didn't provide a reason why the payment was returned back to **** of America, but it was not because of insufficient funds, as we had plenty in the *** account. When we contacted them, they said the payment had not processed correctly, and now we owed a late fee and the interest that accrued. They did not send a notification or bill in June, but waited until August (the month when the interest had kicked in and the 0% promo had expired. We paid it off in an effort to avoid dealing with it any further ( $80 in interest and a $30 late fee) and told them to close the account. immediately A month later, and they tried to bill us interest again and another late fee. We now have them crediting the fees back to us, and sending confirmation that the account has been closed. This is PREDETORY LENDING AND Comenity bank and *************** need to be investigated and fined for these practices. I am also reporting to the ***** as companies like this trying to pray on people that pay their bills on time should not be allowed to continue operating. Unbelievable and unethical are just the beginning here! Look OUT!

Paid the remaining balance in June which was not due until July there was no message from them in July and then next thing I know this month they sent that I have a balance of $6.06 ...$2.03 for interest on a purchase for July then a $2.03 late free and now another $2.00 interest on a purchase for a total of $6.06!!!! How can one have interest on a purchase when you owe nothing!!! When I tried to contact them there was way too many press 1 for this and so on, that when I finally did get to speak to someone (she she spoke with extremely bad English) she tried to tell me that I only made the minimum balance which I told her I paid it off in which was extremely more of the minimum balance, and then she tried to say well 6 months ago you made a minimum payment and that is where the $2.03 came from... so I instead of arguing I closed the account... Do not deal with these people!!!

Opened an account with smile generation for my dental work, I ended up paying more in interest than the loan itself. I was enrolled in a hardship program during the pandemic and paid fixed payment of $80 for the duration of 8 months but they reported me as missed payment to the credit bureau and dropped my credit score by 80 points. I called the customer service numerous times and they didnt seem to know whats going on. DONT NOT USE SMILE GENERATION for your dental loans. Read so many unsatisfied customers reporting them online. Terrible company, I paid off my balance 2 months ago and they still havent reported as account paid and I closed the account but they reopened it illegally without my consent. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!

I have been a customer since 2019, never been late and pay my balance in full every month.Since the system update I cannot process my rewards balance which is now over $500. I have been hung up on and told there is nothing they can do. I have reached out to *********************************** a senior leader with *************** asking for help with no response. I don't know what to do and asking BBB if they can help.Grateful for any help

Comenity Bank is a joke - they do not have any customer service reps anymore - I called to dispute a charge (because you cannot do that on line) and cannot get through. I waited an hour and as soon as it hit 1 hour the system hung up. I am trying right now to call them on two phones and neither phone has been answered. I am closing my account.

I got an academy credit card through this bank and paid off the only thing I bought with the card in the same transaction. I have both receipts from my academy card payment and my debit card paying it off less then five minutes later. Has not been resolved and have been talking and trying to get ahold of academy and this bank for months to keep getting the run around. You are the worst bank known to man and since this isnt resolved hate academy sports and outdoors as well for not doing anything..I have the receipts and bank transactions to prove I have paid yet they keep chartering intrust and sending payment due in mail but wont help to resolve this problem.
