      I got an Academy credit card and Comenity Capital Bank was the bank issuing the card. I work in the oilfields rotating scheduled I happened to be working night's so by the time I woke up and submitted my payment banks were close and it came out a day after the due date. My payment was for the entire balance got my next statement and was charged a 40 dollar late payment fee. My mortgage company gives a 5 day window for payment how the f*** some ******** credit card company can't do the same. We all have lives and things happen that *** effect us being able to get online and make a payment on that exact day. I closed my account and will never due business with Comenity Capital Bank or any other financial institution tied to them.

      I tried to open a new account today. Once they accepted all personal information they denied it for no reason. Call customer service, after 25 minutes, a rep called Gaia responded (a very unmotivated person), and after the long conversation she hung up. I called 2 additional times and waited 15 minutes and 12 minutes respectively, but they hung up Again. Im glad Im not doing business with them.

      I am trying to get in touch with somebody about a **** I received from Sallys Beauty. that I Paid in full *** they keep charging me with late fees. I have proof that I paid it off in the store right inside when I opened a credit card. they are still charging me. I will have to get a lawyer involved because no one wants to help me. my number is Please help before i hire a lawyer. Its a ***** **** under ***********************************.

      I received a letter from this bank regarding an application I supposedly submitted. There was no contact phone number or even an email address to contact them to report this as a fraudulent application. I have tried multiple numbers I found online with no success. This type of poor fraud response is unacceptable and should be considered negligence.

      Rudest customer service person Ive dealt with in a long time. Absolutely terrible. I spoke to someone named ******* from collections, and asked a simple question about my account information. She was so nasty and rude from the beginning of our call to the end. Not to mention, I applied for a card that I never even received in the mail. I definitely regret ever signing up with this bank, I have learned my ******* I will make sure I pay my **** off as soon as possible so I never have to return to this bank for anything again.

      Like others here, I was lured by a good CD rate. I attempted to set up an account but received a paper letter through the mail asking for a photocopy of a government-issued ID (front and back), SS card (front and back), and a bank statement showing "Full name & address" and "At least the last 4 digits of the account number". I've never heard of anything so ludicrous, archaic, and reckless when dealing with a financial institution! Why would anyone do this? So then I called them to have them delete my account and information and they blocked my phone number so that I couldn't talk to anyone. I used my wife's phone and got through to a very nice lady who politely told me that they couldn't do that today and that I'd have to call back tomorrow. (I sarcastically explained that they wouldn't accept a call from my phone and that I didn't have access to another during those hours, but she couldn't help.) I believe as many others here believe; Bread is scam at worst and a crew of incompetents at best. There are too many choices out there. AVOID!!! PS, they get one star only because no one can submit their review without one.

      I tried to open a CD account with Bread Savings. Never having heard of the bank, I first called to see if it could be done over the phone. I waited over twenty minutes before getting someone one the line rather than the usual of leaving my name for a call back. The customer service rep told me I could only open the account online so I proceeded to do so. The website for an online "tech" bank is pathetically slow. Almost a joke. When I entered my bank info and amount to be transferred from my account to Bread, the transfer was rejected. I know I entered the correct routing, account & driver's license info. I received an email with a # to call to find out what had occurred. I spoke to an absolutely clueless person who, after verifying that I entered the correct information, transferred me to a debt collection company. I tried to go back online and start over, but because my email had already been used, I was denied access to opening a CD account. I called customer service and again waited endlessly. When I finally spoke to someone, he told me I was denied but had no specific reasons why. He said I could try again with another email address because the one I used would not be accepted. When you are used to dealing with a real bank with real customer service, this is not the way to go. (Read all the reviews related to the credit cards, etc.)

      BEWARE!!! There is ZERO customer support. If you have any questions or problems with your account, too bad. No one is available to help you, ever! Emails are replied to with a form letter reply that says to call them. Calling them is a descent into h*** and a sort of madness, because you go through all these hoops and never get to anyone. It's awful. I totally do NOT recommend you use this company for dental procedures. Get a credit card!!!

      I truly wish I would have checked with BBB before l secured this credit card. This bank exhibits the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Im a senior citizen and it is really frustrating when you call and you are on hold for several minutes and the phone cuts off. All I want to do is pay them off because I dont care to deal with this bank any longer. I called about fraud due to a procedural error on their part then my bank blocked the fraudulent charges and then Comenity bank charged my account for the error. Then had the audacity to freeze my account due to their error. Covid has caused a lot of problems with businesses, however this bank doesnt seem as though they will ever get back to effective customer service. The once or twice I did get through it didnt matter because nobody there seems to know protocol.
