1 starNO STARS AT ALL! I want to warn other pet owners of my experience with this business. I have a Holland Lop Bunny about 1.5 lbs. (adult size). My bunny will be 5 years old next March. I got ******************** for the bunny because this is the only company in the nation that will offers rabbit health insurance, and they will **** the life out of you! This bunny, luckily, has never had had major issues, only the regular RHD2V vaccine (yearly). So, I got the best plan Nationwide was offering in 2019. Which was 90% coverage with $100/year deductible. The first three years, I was paying about $35/month. About one year ago, around late November, I received the renewal in the mail and there was an increase of over 100%, the monthly installment went from $35 to $77! I was shocked of this huge increase! This is a lot!! This bunny never had a major issue, just a little gas here and there and the annual vaccination. I kept the insurance until today. I received in the mail a new renewal for the same rabbit. The increase is again tremendous, it went from $77 to $147! That's insane, this is what I pay per month for me and I am a lot bigger than a rabbit with no issues. Today I canceled NW, and I never want to hear about this company and their procedures again. The bunny will be 5 soon, these animals live to 7 or 8 years then they pass because it's the natural process of life.Be aware of this company. My advice is to open a savings acct for your bun, and you save money each month. These animals are delicate and from experience there is a high chance that your pet will not survive a serious surgery. Stay away from Nationwide for your bunny. I rescued a cat, and I canceled his insurance as well. I do not trust health insurance anymore. I rather put money on a savings account.Nationwide

1 starNationwide insurance is a complete rip off, charging outrageous premiums and never paying for claims. They go up on their premiums at a ridiculous rates even if you have not made any claims or had any traffic violations and then when you call for a reason why you never can get a legit reason why they go up. then when you call and cancel, they refuse to give you your money back. Even if it’s only been a day that you just paid your premium, they are complete rip off. Stay away from them don’t do business with them. Everything they say is lies lies lies they’re on your side all right you’re on the side of your wallet, take it from someone who knows . Not only have I experience such overpriced insurance that doesn’t pay. I have several friends complaining about the same situation stay away from nationwide insurance any type of insurance.Nationwide

1 starWe sent an electronic payment to nationwide on September of 2023. The payment apparently did not go through, and they cancelled our insurance without contacting us. They said that they sent an e-mail, but it was never received. And they said they sent a letter, which was also never received. They made little effort to contact us, and let us drive uninsured for a long period of time with no contact. They refused to reinstate our policy, and could not get us a new one. It made for a very stressful time. Would not do business with Nationwide ever again.Nationwide

1 starBeen with Nationwide for many years with both auto and farm/home owner policies. This month, our auto premium will go up $171 more per month (not per year...per MONTH!) on top of what we already pay! Almost a 75% monthly increase! When I spoke with our Nationwide agent she said there was really no good reason for the increase, however, nothing they could do about it. We have had no accidents, no tickets, no claims, yet get rate hiked "for no good reason" with an almost 75% increase. One vehicle is liability only covered and is a 2010 (13 yrs old), other is a 2016 (almost 8 yr old), other is a 2019...none of them high dollar vehicles by no means. $1000 deductibles on all three. I have checked with their competitor and received quotes at much better coverage and way less premiums. Obviously after being a customer for many years with Nationwide, they force me to do business elsewhere...since there is "no good reason" for the rate hike per their words. WOW!Nationwide

1 starI have been a customer of Nationwide for auto insurance since 1957. Because of my age (88) I recently relocated to Florida from another state to be near my Son. A local FL Nationwide Agent requested Nationwide to transfer my policy from my former state to Florida. We were told I was not “eligible”. We asked what was the reason for the denial and received this terse reply from a Corporate Customer Relations Analyst stating “Unfortunately, we are not able to provide the specific factor(s) affecting your eligibility in Florida. A scoring model using a variety of factors is used to determine eligibility and varies between states. The model is proprietary and approved by the state of FL.”
Since the reply mentioned that The State of Florida had agreed to this “model” I contacted the State of Florida Division of Consumer Services as to what was the reason. This office then contacted Nationwide which change the reason denial and stated the application for transfer was misfiled. We corrected this issue.
After two Months we finally received a premium quote from Nationwide ($2,645.47) which was 4 times higher than the policy in my former state and 2 ½ times higher than a quote from another major agency in Florida ($1,132.00).
Conclusion: Because I questioned their “scoring model” the quoted premium value was escalated to an unreasonable value. Thus, Nationwide does not want me for a customer.Nationwide

1 starmy vehicle was rear ended, it is going on 3 months and i still have not have my vehicle repaired be cause of miss communication. my claims adjuster for the vehicle accident portion ******* ****** was very unhelpful condescending. it seems she’s more focused on getting off the phone and not dealing with helping the customer at all. there may be mechanical damage from the accident, now it cannot determine weather it’s from the accident or a pre existing condition which is covered under my extended warranty. my dealership is currently working with me to rectify the issue while ******* ****** has done absolutely nothing to help this situation except delay me getting back my vehicle.Review fromMichele M
