I contacted them Greenix Pest Control, ************* approx 9a on 8/10/24 to schedule treatment for yellow jackets. I talked to ***** and he said he contacted the person in my area after several attempts and finally (after several phone calls) said they would arrive between 12p and 4p. I gave them my debit card info as I was told they could not schedule without it. I called them about 4p as I had not heard anything and was told that the person in my area called off that day. This is hours after ***** said he connected with him (*****). So who's lying? Then I see they charged my card at 11:32am for $267.68. You can't charge me for work that has not been completed. I called back and was told they would send someone on Monday. I said no because I wanted it taken care of that day. They then told me to call back on Monday for a refund. I said if you can bill me on Saturday for work you did not do then you can refund on Saturday. It is now Wednesday and the refund is not there and not pending either. The charge is there. How convenient you can bill instantly but not refund. I received a email saying it was completed, but clearly it was not. These business practices are appalling and reek of scam (scammers charge you for nothing). I want my money back (and more since I needed that to pay someone else for the work they didn't do).Business Response

We are truly sorry for the inconvenience the delayed service caused ***********************. Unfortunately, employee absences are unpredictable by nature. We would have promptly rescheduled *****'s service for the soonest available date if agreed upon. However, we would like to clarify and provide the BBB with documentation that *****'s refund was processed on August 12th. I accept the business's response to resolve this complaint as my money has been returned to my account. However it is completely unacceptable to bill someone for for services that were not provided. I clearly indicated in my 1st phone call that service had to be completed that day. They also said they had communicated with the employee (who they are now saying called off that day) and I was to be provided with service that day by 4p. Don't blame the bank when you caused the problem.

I have requested my service with Greenix be terminated; however, I continued to be billed when I was under the impression my account had been closed. I NO LONGER WANT/NEED THIS SERVICE, and I want my account refunded and closed immediately.Business Response

I asked to cancel this acct in sept 2023 and was told by manager ****** that this acct was for 24 months ending June 2024. Because I am ona fixed income he told me they would work with me and I would get my last service on April 2024 and my charge would stop on may 2024. In June they charged my acct and I called the office number and spoke with another person who said all information from my previous call with ****** was on acct and they would have another manager call back and explain the reason why it was not cancelled after April ******** No one ever called back. Then I had a person come to my house on June 27th to service my house. Again I explained to this person this acct was closed at the end of June. My 24 month contract was DONE. He called the office at my request in my driveway and about ten minutes later left without any service to my house. Then on July 3 while I was out they came and said they serviced my house and charged my acct. I sent an email requesting this acct be closed and no further charges be sent to my bank. Then I spoke with my bank and closed my debit card against any further charges. Now they keep sending me emails trying to get a new acct number. ********************** will not call back or accept any emails but sure want my money.Business Response

I owed money to Greenix due to my credit card being canceled and I had to update them with my new credit card information. They had plenty of people answering the phones to get paid, but then I said I wanted to cancel my service. Of course the person I was talking to was authorized to lower the price for me but not cancel my service. They forwarded my call to a manager. I was on hold for 30 minutes total. Then I was given the option of a manager calling me back. I said yes, please. Never happened. Im sure there are plenty of people who will just take this treatment and pay again later. I will not. The ploy is so transparent and very aggravating.Business Response

I was told that the service was quarterly and i would on be charged 70 for applications. I was signed up for a 70 monthly 2 year subscribtion. No mention was made of the 2 year contract or monthly payments. I had to pay 300 to get out of the contract. I feel the salesman was intentionally misleading because of my age.Business Response

On 8/6/2024 a representative of Greenix came to the door, opened the screen door and tried turning the door handle. My three middle school children were home and were all scared. One called me while another called the police. After realizing the door was locked, the employee walked around the house spraying chemicals, including around my organic garden beds. My boyfriend got home while he was still on the premise prior to the police. The guy stated there was a contract. I have owned this house for one year and 8 months. I did not sign up or pay for service. He said the previous owner had service. When my boyfriend called the customer service number, the initial employee claimed that there was never service at this address. A police report was filed and I also called customer support where I was told that the previous owner did have service. However, I never approved any person on my property or to spray chemicals around my house and the fact that he jiggled the handle is outrageous. I want reimbursement for the plants, loss of organic produce and time.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:despite having a claim opened for nearly a week, I have not gotten anywhere with the company to get closer to a resolution. They are trying to state that the employee didnt spray my plants. Their website specifically states that they spray 3 up and 3 out from the foundation of the house. My garden beds are within that limit and I have sent pictures proving this to be the case. Additionally, airborne and soil contamination from being so close is absolutely a concern. My garden is organic and *** worked very hard and invested a lot of time and money to feed my family organic vegetables, fruits and herbs.

When they come out to sell you the service it's a lie from that point on. I feel totally ripped off and lied too. When they come out the most time they spend is walking to your door then they walk around your house and leave. What a scam this company should be ashamed.Business Response

They came out for flea and tick removal. They charged me but did a horrible job. Still being attacked by fleas. The charged me for the service and then charges me for cancelling the account. I want a refund for both.Business Response

They DID NOT do anything. They refused to do the basement and attic. When we got home we were covered with fleas. We hired another company and they did get rid of the fleas. They even said the previous company did nothing.

While we acknowledge and empathize with ********** concerns, our stance on the matter has not waivered. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide a refund to the extent of ********** request due to services being rendered. On July 23rd, ******** enrolled in a 12-month agreement for ****, Tick, ******** services. Due to the agreement being closed prematurely, she was charged an early termination fee. We have refunded the early termination fee in the amount of $249.00. On August 4th a greenix door to door solicitor rang our doorbell. He introduced himself and I asked him to provide his village issued solicitor's permit which by our ordinances he is required to do. He did not have one, I informed him of our village ordinance requirements and told him he cannot legally solicit door to door without one snd that if he continued that I would call law enforcement. He told me that he would go up the street to retrieve his car and leave. 10 minutes later I saw him approach a neighbor's home, I asked him if he was testing me, this quickly turned into a shouting match with him being very disrespectful. A complaint was filed with the local police and a complaint will be filed with the village administrator. Greenix needs to be aware and follow the laws of the areas in which they solicit.Business Response
