      I was talked into signing a 1 year contract via high-pressure door to door sales tactics. Greenix has been out twice. The first time, I questioned the person about why they were spraying when there weren't any mosquitos yet. I was told it was preventative. The most recent time was less than a week ago and since then the mosquito activity has increased 10 fold. I am told that I will see increased activity for two weeks after spraying. This is the last 2 weeks of summer. Of course the activity will decrease in the fall. I don't need them to spray for that. The product is completely ineffective and has made the problem worse. I was not told when I originally signed the contract that I would see increased activity for 2 weeks after spraying or I never would have signed the contract. These are deceptive business practices for which I should not have to pay. I am not asking for a refund. I am asking to discontinue my service without paying a $299 penalty.

      I am submitting this complaint on behalf of my girlfriend whom was recently duped into signing up for services provided by this company SCAM ALERT. This company is a complete SCAM. Do not proceed with any services, or sign ANYTHING without taking the time to read every word on the contract. It can be difficult as they will pressure you to sign right away, or not give you an opportunity to read it by getting you to sign while you are busy running your business. They will give you a less than adequate run down of what you are signing, and how the services work, to make you feel comfortable with signing, without mentioning the most important part, there is a $250 cancellation fee if you do not cancel within 3 days. They will coerce you into signing up for the year, by saying that they do not offer one time services, and/or offering the deal of a lifetime if you sign up NOW. Not to mention, they will upsell you on special treatments for common pest problems, that other companies would charge 1/4 to 1/2 of the price, and not require you to sign away your first born. They take advantage of people naive to how pest control works. They take advantage of people whose first language is not English. I highly recommend taking your hard earned money to a reputable local company, instead of these slimy fraudsters. There is absolutely no way that they have over 1000 positive reviews. Look at all the complaints on BBB, and the reviews on yelp to get an actual idea of this companies shady business practices. I hope this review can save future unsuspecting victims of their high pressure sales tactics, false promises, and SCAM of a service. Yall should be ashamed of yourselves for operating a business in such a manner.

      Scheduled Service with Greenix for Wasp/Hornet nest removal and post treatment to prevent reoccurrence of nest. I was charged for the service that was not completed. When I contacted the company, I was told service was completed. I had been home the whole time and no one came to my house to do the service. I am having difficulty getting my money refunded.

      My contract (which was not transparent and was overpriced) has come to an end, and I want to cancel my service.The account manager refused to cancel my service, and just kept asking what he could do to make it right, and then put me on an indefinite hold.

      ON 8/12/24 I REQUESTED GREENIX EXTERNINATORS TO DEAL WITH A HORNET NEST OUTSIDE MY HOME. FIRST OF ALL, THEYREQUIRED ME TO PAY UP FRONT JUST TO SCHEDULE AN APPT. THEY TRIED TO GET ME TO SIGN A ONE YEAR CONTRACT AND I REFUSED, THEY TOLD ME THE $249.00 I PAID WAS FOR A ONE TIME SERVICE AFTER WICH THE HORNETS WERE DRIVE INSIDE MY HOME AND I ENDED UP GETTING BIT, WHEN I CALLED ON 8/19/24 TO REQUEST A REFUND, THE MERCHANT REFUSED STATING I JUST NEEDED TO PURCHASE MORE SERVICES TO WHICH I REFUSED.       I singed with this company for pest controlled. I asked if their products affected the honeybees and the representative told me, no. First inaccurate information, all the honeybees disappeared from my backyard. They told me then, they will no spray in the foliage. They also told me their products will take care of the spiders, and even after an extra treatment, I continued to have spiders. Not even 1 week lasted without spiders.

      Since they misrepresented their services I asked to cancel my account. I was told then, I had to pay $ 299 to cancel. That was not disclosed to me by the representative that came to my house and offered their services.

      They offered to shorten my contract, give a VIP treatment, but no waived the $ 299.

      Since they misrepresented their work and it clearly doesn't work well (kills the good pollinators and keeps the spiders), I shouldn't need to pay the @ 299. I did pay, but I'm asking for a refund. I would have continue with their services if it was as they told me.

We would like to provide additional information to the BBB that is reflective of ******** being aware of and acknowledging the early termination fee at the point of sale. We have uploaded documents that were sent to ********'s phone and email at the point of sale, both of which include information about the early termination fee. We are also including a product usage report for the products used during our tick, flea, and mosquito services. We can assure the BBB that our products do not target honey bees. More specifically, we will refuse to provide service to areas where there is evident honey bee activity. Due to these documents and the confidence in our service professionals to not treat areas with honey bee activity, we do not feel it is applicable to refund the early termination fee in this instance.

      in their response they are Contradicting themselves. First they say they are confident their products don’t affect Honey  bees and then they say they won’t spay where there is honey bees activity… I live in the ******* *****, the rep knows we DO have honey bees there.


      Regarding me knowing about the fee, as I said it was NO disclosed to me by the rep when I sign for their services. I would expect the rep to tell me about that when he is informing me about their services.

      They sent those documents AFTER I signed with them. So again, the representative did NOT disclose that fee to me before I signed (which was part of my original complaint). 

      They are assuring the BBB their products do not target honey bees, can they include their studies showing that? Greenix should back that statement with scientific data. Moreover, right after that statement, they say they refuse to spray where there is honeybee activity. I live in the ******* ***** and we DO have honey bees. I specifically asked the representative if their product affect the honey bees, so they know they are spraying where honey bees are present. 

      They have not commented anything about the spider's problem I brought up in my first communication with the BBB.

      This business keeps talking about money (the early termination fee) but they are NOT responding to my other concerns. Misrepresenting themselves and not doing the job they are telling clients they will do. This is the BBB, and Greenix should ALSO address the business complaints I have. 

      I decided to end the contract, even if I was not getting the $299 back, because of this business practices. They NEED to responde to that and not only to money. It seems this company is more concern about money than the job they are singing people for.

Our technicians are trained to handle pest control with environmental sensitivity, and we assure Ms. ****** that we did not intentionally harm any honeybee populations on her property.       Greenix sales *** came to my home on 8/09/2024 offering services. Was originally told that we use another company for services and we're not interested. Continued having a conversation, my wife then left due to having to work. I continued listening to what she had to offer, and agreed to rodent baiting service of a one time service. Was told this would be $100 and gave my credit card info for this charge. I was told they would come the following Monday to provide the service and then they would come a few days later to check the rodent traps. Employee returned to my home at around 830 in the evening and performed what I thought was the rodent baiting service, said they would return Monday to check the traps and left. It is now Thursday and no one has been to the home to check the traps. I looked in my email to ensure I understood the service correctly prior to calling and I realized I'd been lied too. This was apparently not a one time service but an 18 month contract with services every 3 months, a 3 day cancelation period, and 2 services rather than the one I had agreed too. When my wife called to ask about these issues and disc***ancies with what we were told, the ***resentative with account services told her that "well, your husband signed a contract that specifies the 18 month contract and the 3 day cancelation and the services signed up for." He finally agreed after much discussion about coercion and lying to decrease my contract to 12 months and reduce it to only the one service agreed upon and refused to do anything else. This is extremely unprofessional and a terrible way to run a business. When a customer agrees to one thing and then gets signed up for an entirely different thing, something is wrong.

      I just realized that Greenix has been overcharging me and I have signed up with another company. Accordingly, I called them to cancel my account. Since I have been with them for over five years, I am not breaking any contracts and I don't owe them any money. Moreover, I am not asking for any credits or refunds. All I was asking is to cancel my service. After calling them the second time and talked to a live person, I was told that I had to talk to an account manager. Therefore, they connected me to their account manager, *******************. When I told him that I wanted my service cancelled, he kept dragging the conversation. I repeatedly asked him to just cancel my service; however, he kept talking slowly and dragged the conversation. I finally got extremely frustrated and I hung up the phone. I then followed up with an email to confirm the cancellation. Their response was that my account was still active and I have to call back again and talk to an account manager. Again, I sent them another email to cancel my service, but got the same response. Incidentally, I have the email chain documents. All I want is to have my account cancelled and for everyone to know what type of shady business Greenix is running.

      Greenix has not provided the service that I signed up for. When I signed up with them in February for pest protection (bees, ants, mosquitos, spiders, etc), I was told they would come out every 45 days to spray and that they would re-treat any time I needed it. Their first visit was on May 1. They came again on June 3 because I needed a re-treatment for the bees. In order to get them here for that treatment, they did not show up two times. I had to keep calling to get them here. They blamed it on the weather. Yes, one day it was raining, but the other day it was sunny. At that treatment, I was told they would be here mid-July for the mosquitos. No one showed up. I called again and was told I had to call to schedule. I was told they came on a schedule, not that I had to call. Now it was July 29 before they could be here. Again, no show. Now Aug 8 before they could come. That's 2 months between treatments. I was also told they would come every 3 months to take down the bees nests. No one has been here. It's been 3 months since May 1. I tried to cancel and they won't let me. When I signed the contract, they rushed me through it on the phone and didn't give me time to read it. I had no idea there was a $250 fee. I'm not paying that. They are not fulfilling their end of the contract. I want to cancel and I want my money back. They are scammers. They took my money and don't show up.

      I am rejecting this response because: They only refunded me $69.99 on 8/19. I was promised an additional $80.00 on 8/20, which has not been received. I also do not think this is nearly enough. I have wasted $744 on their service and not received what I paid for. I've spent $500 on the mosquito treatment and only received 3 treatments. Is this worth $500? I don't think so. Especially since their product doesn't work. They sprayed on Aug. 8 and I was getting bitten by mosquitos within a week. IT DOESN'T WORK!!!! I want my money back. 

      I also wasted $244 on the rodent baiting treatment, which is a total scam. When the guy was spraying for bugs, he scared me into thinking we had mice and talked me into the rodent baiting treatment. I didn't really want it, but he had me freaked out, so I fell for his scam. It's all bull c*** I want my money back for that too. Their products do not work. I want my money back in full. $744.

      We appreciate the opportunity to clarify our position regarding the requested refund. We have carefully reviewed the customer's account and service history, and while we understand the frustration expressed, we believe a full refund is not feasible for the following reasons:
      The customer received a total of eight completed services as part of their agreement. Each of these services involved product usage, technician time, and other associated costs. 
      We acknowledge that there may have been dissatisfaction with certain aspects of the service, and we have already processed a partial refund of $149.99 to reflect that. However, as the services were performed as per our contract and industry standards, a full refund for services rendered would not be reasonable.
      We strive to offer quality service and customer support, and we regret any inconvenience experienced. Our goal is to work with the customer to find a fair resolution, but we must also take into account the value of services provided.

      Hi! Im writing in regard to complaint # ******** against Greenix Pest Control. Its been several weeks since I denied their response and Im wondering if anything is getting done with this. They have only provided 3 mosquito treatments and I paid them over $500. Additionally, their treatments did not work. We were still swarmed by mosquitos and unable to even walk in our yard all summer. They also only provided 1 rodent baiting service for which I paid $244.40, which was a scam that they frightened me into and I did not want or need. They claim they provided 8 treatments. That is a total lie. They were only here 3 times for mosquitos. I had 3 more treatments scheduled before I cancelled, so maybe they are adding those in to make it sound like they were here more than they actually were. They are scam artists. They have refunded me only $149 and I feel I deserve much more than this. I think I deserve a full refund.

      I am rejecting this response because: This is untrue. You were here exactly 3 times, not 8. You were here on May 1, June 3, and August 8. Each time that you sprayed for mosquitos, they were back within 1 week. Your product does NOT work!! I had to call repeatedly to get you to come to spray. I was cancelled multiple times supposedly due to weather. One of those times it was perfectly sunny out, so I don't why you cancelled due to weather. Before I cancelled, I was scheduled for 3 more treatments, so maybe that's where your math is adding up to 8 treatments, but that still doesn't compute correctly. Considering your product does not work as it should, I should not be held liable for the payment. If it actually worked, I wouldn't be disputing it.

      I will settle for an additional refund of the $244 that you scammed me out of when you frightened me into the rodent baiting service that I didn't really want or need. It was chipmunks, not mice, but because I was home alone, he scared me into thinking we had mice trying to ****** into the house, so he suckered me into an additional unnecessary costly service. It you refund me the $244 I paid for this, I will be satisfied and end my complaint.

      Greenix pest control began texting my number approximately a year ago to inform a customer (who is not me) about service they are completing. As they continued to text my number throughout the year, I informed them several times via text that they had the wrong number. I do not know the customer they were trying to reach nor have I ever heard of the company. Last month I began receiving almost daily phone calls regarding an outstanding balance. I again told them that they had the wrong number and to remove my number from their calling list. They continued to call. I answered again and restated that they had the wrong number and due to their harassment I would report them to the BBB and the **** They are still continuing to call. I would like this company to stop calling me.

Upon investigating, the only account we discovered with the phone number in question is an account that ********************** acquired from Insight Pest Solutions. For additional context, Greenix has recently partnered with Insight Pest Solutions, acquiring select branches. Thus, any communication to this number from a year ago would not have originated from Greenix. With that said, we have removed this phone number from our system, ensuring any additional communication will not occur.
