I had given 2 gift subscriptions of a magazine that I loved as a child. Both girls moved, but I had no account # to log in with and change the delivery address. I did the live chat and was helped in short order by Jalana. It was a lot easier than I anticipated.Highlights for Children, Inc.

Very poor- I take part blame for ordering magazine prior to looking at all the negative reviews about not receiving magazines. My grandchildren never received the magazines that were to be for a Christmas gift. Ordered in November- we are in Jan now and they never received them. I just cancelled my order. Delivery never took place as promised. Let's see if i get my refund as promised in 3-5 business days. I'm betting not. I would not have given a 1 star rating however to leave a review I had to leave somethingHighlights for Children, Inc.

I received a promotion in the mail for $5 for a year’s subscription. I signed up for that price. I received a bill in the mail afterwards for $37.26. I ignored this and thought that would be the end of it. They have continued to send me over 6 bills for $37.26. It’s fraudulent to get people to sign up under the pretense of it costing $5 and then try to hold them accountable when the price increases over 7x. Stay away from this company. Who knows what other kinds of shady tricks they’re using hoping to take advantage of people who aren’t paying attention.Highlights for Children, Inc.

After reviewing our records, it shows that you responded to our Early Bird offer. With it, customers could pre-order a holiday subscription (starting in December) for 50% off the cover price. The 50% off price was $34.44 ($2.87 per issues) plus any applicable sales tax. The cover (newsstand) price on each issue of Highlights is $5.99. If purchased individually, the price for twelve issues is $71.88. Unfortunately we have never offered a 1-year subscription for $5. If I could leave a 0 star review, I would. I placed an order over the phone 11/11/22 for two gift subscriptions for my grandchildren - Highlights and High Five. Even though the representative over the phone repeated my order back to me, they still managed to place an order for the wrong magazine for one of the subscriptions. I tried multiple times to switch the subscription through my online account, but it wouldn't do it. Their online account system is very glitchy and I was unable to, so I had to call them. They corrected the issue over the phone and they told me that my grandkids would be receiving their first magazine in the next month. I called about a week before Christmas because they still hadn't received their first magazines. The man on the phone assured me that their first magazines were on their way. Tomorrow is New Years Day and they still haven't received their first issues. I've tried cancelling my subscriptions online, but again...their online account system is glitchy and wouldn't let me. So now I have to call them because they don't work on Saturdays, not only that but their customer service is not available until 10am ET M-F so I have to call during MY work hours. Even though my grandkids haven't received their first issue, I'm willing to bet that they only pro-rate my refund. This is one of the WORST experiences I've had with a company...EVER! I regret ever ordering these magazines for my grandkids. IF I ever get my refund, I'll order a kids magazine from a more reliable company. I don't know what's happened to Highlights, but they sure have gone downhill over the years. It's regrettable and sad.Highlights for Children, Inc.

I realize with the ongoing staffing shortages that it difficult to address all customer concerns but I was in customer service for 25 years and never put off a customer for the the length of time I have been. I placed an order on November 8th for my grandchild a gift subscription and was assured that it would arrive no later than mid December and here it is Christmas and still no magazines. I remember them from when I was a kid and wanted the same experience for my grandchild. I will not be renewing this when it comes due and will probably be asking for a refund if it doesn't arrive in the next few days. Not HappyHighlights for Children, Inc.
