      Just to be clear, I find the so-called customer support from Highlights to be utterly lacking in execution. This company is more than happy to CONTINUALLY send me gift subscription renewal notice emails; this despite the fact all of my subscriptions are up-to-date for the next year. But their management of any other inquiries is half-done, at best. Also, their website content and navigation at the individual account level is appalling and extremely difficult to maneuver. Their web-master clearly needs further training in customer-facing considerations.
      I was missing a recent order of books/materials for Christmas/birthday gifts. The amount was pending on my credit card, but I received no communication from Highlights. After 10 days, I sent an inquiry from my customer account. Over a week later, I received a response requesting a lot of information, most of which was included in my original inquiry, or is included in my account information. To me, taking over a week to respond is unacceptable, especially considering it's gift-giving season.
      By the time they responded, the original charge was no longer pending on my credit card account, leaving me to assume the original order was cancelled without any type of notice to me. So, yeah, I'm out a couple of Christmas presents, thanks to Highlights lousy customer service!
      To top it off, though I was complaining about not receiving an order from 3 weeks prior, they decided the customer service response should include a post-script about ordering other items from Highlights!!! SERIOUSLY?????
      This is the third frustrating and SUPER-ANNOYING customer service issue I've had in the past year or so. Every time, I have had to go several rounds just to get the situation squared away (usually so I don't give them a bunch of money for nothing).
      I love the magazine, as do my great-niece/nephews, that's the two starts. But the entire customer service situation is making me consider cancelling all of the subscriptions.

      Hello Ms. *******, thanks for taking the time to share your experience with us. I'm sorry to learn that you've had difficulties with your Highlights account, and with your recent order. It is our goal to provide the best service and products for our customers. At times, we may experience a higher volume than normal with customer contacts by email. During this time, our response times may appear longer than usual, but we work to respond to each and every contact as quickly as we can. After reviewing our records, it shows that the charge is for a renewal of the Highlights magazine through continuous service enrollment. You should have received an email about 30 to 45 days before the renewal was processed letting you know about the upcoming renewal which would automatically be charged to the credit card previously used for the subscription so that the child did not miss an issue. The reminder is sent to allow for time to make any changes and updates to the account or to allow customers to opt out of continuous service before their credit card is charged for the subscription renewal. A cancellation request was received on October 7, 2022, and a refund was processed. I am unable to locate any recent orders processed with your information, but I will be happy to check into this for you. I have personally sent a email to you regarding this concern. Once again, I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced

      Live chat with Highlights allowed me to get my $10 credit added to my account for a gift subscription that did not come off at checkout.
      Due to coming holiday, was a lengthy wait, but I was able to do other work on computer until Maria logged in and helped resolve my payment issue.

      My niece and nephew love their highlights books. The company always delivers on time and they can't wait for the next issue. I did have one issue with logging in, but one live chat conversation with customer support and it was taken care of. Tierra, was amazing at handling the issue quickly and efficiently. She was also curteous, kind, and understanding. Without question, she is an assest to her company and if any issues should arise in the future, I hope she helps me out again.

      I used their live-chat to answer my question regarding my subscription. They also addressed an issue that I had with a product I had purchased for my granddaughter. They nicely replaced the entire product for me even though only a portion of it needed replacement. Very helpful representative.
