I dealt with George and he is great. He also was very helpful throughout the instal process. The problem was the installers. I paid for the upgraded underlayment on my roof and when I arrived home from work, I notice that they were shingling the last section of my roof with the ice/water shield but no underlayment above it. I asked them and first they acted like it wasn’t supposed to have underlayment, then it changed to, we ran out and we will come back and remove the shingles and install it later, to the crew chief saying he didn’t know the worker was doing that because he was on the other side of the roof. I was reassured by George that it would be taken care of, but when I went back out to check, they still hadn’t installed it and were shingling more, when I went on the roof to talk to them, they tried to hide it by covering it with loose shingles. So, there is a huge honesty problem with the installers. Eventually George was able to get it sorted and they went and got more underlayment and installed it properly. Thank god I came home early and saw it. My concern is that if I hadn’t, I would have been ripped off and never had known until a failure happened years later. How many people have they done this to? Roofs are so expensive, they should really be done properly. After everything, my roof is done and it doesn’t leak, but only after back and forth on the phone, climbing the roof to uncover the workers blatant dishonesty, and baby sitting them the remainder of their day. George was polite and followed up with me after to confirm I was happy and everything was good. That’s comforting to know, that at least the people running things care.

Hi Jonathan, we're very sorry about your experience. Mr. Roof has the absolute best guarantees in the industry. To ensure this happens we have checks and balances in place. This happens before, during, and after the installation. It is unacceptable that the installers ran out of materials, and it's our impression that the installer went back to the supply house and filled in the missing area that day. Additionally, per the contract after the roof has settled a Mr. Roof post inspector performs a full roof inspection. All this is to ensure the best possible roof and service we can. Mr. Roof did an excellent job and there were no surprises. Their contract is very customer specific and great guarantees on workmanship and material. The installation crew was very good. To be specific: they protected our plants and a/c unit , used starter shingles, ice sheathing properly, flashing around our chimney was exceptional, drip edge and edge venting looked great and is metal, got rid of my box can vents and went with peak edge vents that give roof a clean appearance. Carmen came to our home and gave us an in depth detail of what to expect when changing our roof. No question was unanswered and he explained everything professionally and kindly. Because of Carmen’s professionalism, we decided to proceed with Mr Roof to do the job. The crew came out and did a fantastic and clean job. Every concern we had was handled by the crew and we are very happy with the outcome. Good workmanship, however terrible clean up. We had to ask too many times for clean up areas. Worker left a water bottle on our second story window sill. We, as seniors couldn't remove it. And our yard had too many nails left behind.
Our contractor purchased lunch for Workers, and asked us to pay for it. We declined, and informed our contractor that the Workers knew how long it would take for the completion of the job, so they should have packed a lunch. Be cautious when talking with contractor. Contractor and workers were nice and polite. Our roof looks great. So far we haven't had any other issues. We're waiting on heavy rain for assurance.
