1 starThis business is a fraud, I scheduled carpet cleaning and when they arrived, they offered me for an additional 100.00 to get all stains removed guaranteed or else they would be back to get them removed. Stains did not come out completely as promised, i called twice and spoke with a manager Noah from Stockton and said he would come out to check out carpet. Twice they did a no show, no call, nothing. I called and placed a complaint and asked to speak with someone above manager and i was directed once again to Noah. He stated i called and cancelled the service and that was false information. Their own department cancelled the service twice, refused to give me a refund and now waiting for them to come back. Its been by far the worst carpet cleaning service ever. I would not recommend Stanley steamers to no one, they scam you into paying more for a service that is not given.Review fromSusie P

This is in regard to Branch 65.
We were quoted over the phone $360 to clean furniture. The 1st crew arrived without the portable equipment needed for a condo. The 2nd crew arrived but did not want to clean any of the furniture because some were velvet and he made excuses about staining, water spots, fabric could turn yellow, etc. They do not have the authority to make these decisions. What are you doing in this line of business if you are afraid to clean furniture? We just wanted our furniture cleaned. We then agreed to have our engineered wood floor cleaned for $840. That price did not even include the entire condo! And the Neutral Wood Chemical Cleaner they used y dried out the floor! We feel we were taken advantage of, even ripped off as a senior couple who just moved in that day. This company charged me $398 to take and clean 2 area oriental carpets.
The carpets were to be cleaned and return to my home within a 2week period. It has been more than a month and four phone calls to three different customer service personal. No return calls even though I left detailed messages include my name and phone number. Not only did I pay for the cleaning up front I also haven't had my expensive carpets returned. I am out many hundreds of dollars for the cleaning and lost carpets, therefore, I can only speculate that Stanley Steemer is avoiding having to settle this dispute. Avoiding to follow up appears to be their way of not being held financially responsible to me for the cleaning fee and the cost to replace my carpets!Stanley Steemer International, Inc. & Corporately Owned Branch Locations

1 starI had Stanley Steemer Duct Cleaner to come out and clean my air ducts. They came out and starting cleaning them and found mold in the attic unit. They then told me that it had to be treated and they had the chemicals to kill the mold
They then showed me a blue light that they had . I was told by one of them that it would prevent mold from returning and that it would also rid my house of any impurities in the air. Well. This all cost me $2700. Two months later , I'm looking at furniture and my ceiling fans and see dust hanging off the blades. I am speechless. These guys scammed me. They didn't do anything but put some strings attached to hoses in the air ducts and then sucked the dust they knocked lose out. As for that blue light that cost $900. It's now a light green. They told me I wouldn't need to replace it for 4 years. Stanley Steemer scammed me out of $2700.Review fromMichael M

Horrible experience with Stanley Steemer Sandy Utah
Had an appointment with them August 4 which they never showed up and they never called to say they wouldn’t make the appointment.
August 5th they show up for an inspection with a an attitude. Unwilling to put on booties and unwilling to take off their shoes for my white carpet.

I recently had my carpets cleaned only to arrive home and find my front screen door no longer closed. This was after the technician ****** requested a tip BEFORE cleaning the carpet. The amount of phone calls and emails in order to resolve the situation has been extraordinary, in addition to the manager implying that I broke the door myself. Even though I provided pictures of the state of the door when I arrived home.I'm not sure if the accusation or dismissive handling of my complaint is due to my gender (female) or race (Black) but I did feel that it is a factor.Stanley Steemer International, Inc. & Corporately Owned Branch Locations

The gentleman that did the work was wonderful to work with. My plan includes 3 carpeted rooms and hardwood in 2 rooms and hallways. I initially requested the 3 carpeted rooms for $126.00 promotion they had going on. When Michael got here he sweet talked my elderly mother of 82 years old into the yearly plan for $475.00 starting in April 23, which included 3 carpeted rooms and 2 rooms for hardwood and hallways. When I called to schedule the 2nd service today I was told that my plan only included 2 carpeted rooms. I had the invoice in hand and that is not what it said. I was also told that when Michael came out he only did 2 rooms carpeted. I work from home and was home at the time he was here and he did 1 living room carpet, 2 bedrooms carpet and 2 rooms hardwood and hallways, so what they told me was a lie. When I got the run around with the scheduler on the phone I requested to speak to a manager regarding this matter. The first manager Tamera Daniels never even called me back. I am now waiting for Chad a manager to call me and I still haven't received the call. I WILL NEVER USE STANELY STEEMER FOR ANYTHING AND THEY ARE A SCAM ON THEIR YEARLY PLANS. I WILL REPORT THIS TO THE BETTER BUSINESS AS WELL AND IN THE REVIEWS FOR THE COMPANY. It is really a shame that businesses treat their customers this way. The person who did the carpet was nice. But for what we paid the smell left on my carpet is horrid. We just made 2 yrs living in a brand new home. Wanted to do routine cleaning on our carpet. No vacuum was done prior, boots were worn while cleaning. It was left overly saturated which is the wet moldy smell left for weeks now. Pur carpet smells like 100 years old and barely turning 2 yrs. They wanted to send out to have re cleaned but we were told it could cause damage to the padding if left too saturated which could be the smell that we may be smelling. We were not offered any other option. We would like a refund to have the problem resolved. Air Duct Cleaning They came the first time, It took about 4 hours. The AC units have to be turned off during the cleaning and when they turned them back on after finishing. Debris started flying out of all the air vents in the house. Large chunks of dry wall, insulation, dust, (what looked like mold) for hours! I have a baby, so I was frantically cleaning and dusting but it was just flying out faster than I could clean. I called back and they rescheduled to have it cleaned again a few days later. They came back and admitted the vents were still very dirty. They were here for 60 minutes, so clearly they didn’t do a full cleaning or full inspection of the previous improper job. They offered a $450 dollar gift card to SS to clean the carpets and sofas which got covered in debris for days because of their mistake. We then left for vacation and when we got back a week later, the house was filthy and could smell dirt in the air. My whole family got sick a day later including my baby, coughing, sneezing, wheezing. I called them back, and they sent out an inspector. He said our soft vents were destroyed and particles were flying off and the vents were very dirty. In his opinion SS should never have touched our vents because of the delicate situation they were in. and if he had been the first inspector that he would have explained to me that if they clean the vents then the soft vents will crumble and cause issues. So clearly the first guy destroyed our soft vents. I called the manager again. They gave us refund for the service but took back the gift card. We are all still sick including my baby. It will be $450-500 to clean the carpets and sofas, $800-$1000 for a full deep clean of the house, whatever medical attention we will need, and I have quotes scheduled to replace the soft ducting that was damaged by SS. And any long term health effects from breathing in whatever particles they loosened in there. I called to schedule a cleaning and was quoted a price for 4 rooms and a hallway. I was told if the two bedrooms were not ready the technician would take $40 per room off the charge. He was asked not to clean them but still Charged $80 for rooms that were not cleaned. We knew that the high traffic areas would likely not come clean but there were areas where the same furniture has sat since the carpet was laid that was not cleaned!! He Did not run the machine all the way to the walls and did not go all the way to areas where the floor transitions to vinyl which left obvious changes in what was cleaned and what wasn’t Refused to move even a small side table and a child’s rocking chair to clean under it for my disabled elderly uncle. Yes no one told me that they don’t move anything or I would have had it moved before they came. There was still dust on areas that should have been no problem at all to get to. All of the furniture had been remove from the house because new furniture was being delivered the next day. It should have been an easy job! Now the new furniture is in the house and it will be hard to move to clean under and around it so this has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. My daughter and I used a basic home shampooer and went over it and the amount of dirty water that came off of it was absolutely ridiculous considering he had paid to have it cleaned just 24 hours before. I’ve tried multiple times to get the situation resolved but the manager is impossible to get in contact with.
