      Lived in the same home 23 years. Worst electric **** ever. Called Ohio ******* IGS wasnt even competitive. ***** wasnt as high as they were. And now they want to charge me ***** to fight for my consumers rights.Jess

      IGS Energy looks to sign people up to purchase electricity from them without the homeowners consent. I have never agreed to purchase electric from another supplier since the **** was passed, but somehow they showed up on my ****. When talking to them they stated they purchased another electric supplier and I was under contract with them. I would like to see the evidence of this. Now I am looking at other family members bills and have found another person paying IGS for electric and they have never agreed to purchase any electric except through DP&L and now AES. With all the other complaints on here it looks like the company is commenting fraud by illegally signing people up to purchase electric from them.

      Would be zero if they let me. This company completely takes advantage of people and charges twice as much as AEP as soon as your contract is up. They truck you into signing long contracts to take advantage of you, and then as soon as its up your screwed. They are criminals!

      I was their client for 20 years, and after that they raised the price to me to the sky. I left them and will never use their services again in my life. This company is complete trash. I don't recommend it to anyone.

      This company is a nightmare. I cancelled services in October of 2021. They told me that it would take two months to process the cancelation. They proceeded to continue to charge me a monthly service charge even though I had a new provider and had canceled services. I had to report my credit card as stolen to get them to stop steeling my money! I am still disputing the illegal charges with my credit card company and it has been 10 months. I would NEVER do business with IGS ever again and will warn everyone I know to stay away! Beware of this company!

      A representative of IGS came knocking at my door waking me up from a nap so my brain was not fully on yet. The guy told me they were just checking what happened and why was I not with them, continuing he indicated they had been my supplier all along and it just recently switched. My carriers did recently switch on my gas company, but I was NOT with IGS I found out after. He also stated that IGS was in the top 3 energy suppliers while the one I had was one of the worst ones and were at the bottom ranks in energy suppliers. After he had left I did some researching to find out the truth is IGS was ranked 16/17th in ****. While Constellation that was assigned to my CenterPoint Energy account by CenterPoint Energy was in the top 3! I called the representative after getting letter notices from AES Ohio and CenterPoint Energy stating I had until a certain date to cancel the switch. I called the representative because he said it's hard to get anything taken care of through the actual customer service for IGS and to just call him to get things done. I told him to cancel both. He said to give him a few days and he'll get to it. I told him it had to be done before the dates given by the companies and that he DIDN'T have a few days to do it as I was NOT paying a $99 cancellation fee that HE FAILED TO DISCLOSE TO ME! I found that out by looking this farce of a company up.. He said he'd get it taken care of. My gas bills start coming, IGS is on them as my supplier. I immediately noticed a big increase in my gas. I get to looking and here he added a home warranty to all of this instead of canceling!!!! I already have a home warranty! It took a few months to get everything IGS off of my gas company through IGS themselves. IGS stated they would reverse the charges for the home warranty. They didn't! They did remove it 2 months later but still have not seen a ***** of the previous charges come back to me! NEGATIVE 5 STARS

      O.k, first I am upset with myself for signing that thing! I live upstairs, my more their and sister live downstairs, this salesman weaseled his way into our home, I don't know what he told my 75 year old mother to get in the house :(Love ng story short, I am struggling financially, he swore that my rates with my electric company were about to almost double, and if I signed their contract, it wouldn't happen. I panicked, I signed it, but felt so uneasy that I called the company right after, it was hard to understand her and I am hard of hearing, but between my sister and I, we got it cancelled, she said so anyways, and there isn't suppose to be an early termination fee if you cancel within the first three days! I did it within the hoiur!I am ***** that they won't honor this, I have also emailed them multiple times, I don't like how they dance around their words! We received your request, you won't get paperless since you cancelled paperless, um no I cancelled the contract!So IF I receive any kind of ****, I will report them! They aren't getting a dime! I cancelled by phone and email!Their salesman dances around questions and never gave straight, transparent answers, never said he was an entirely differnt utility company altogether til he was leaving, then gave me his card!I am freaking out worrying about this now. Very worried :(

      This just happened to me. I received 2 letters...one to me and one to my late husband...thanking us for CHOOSING IGS. I never chose anything. Later on July 15 **** a man came to the door...friendly type carrying a clipboard. He looked at my gas and electric bills, said something about gas going up and by joining IGS I could save money. He talked for a long time and I must admit I didn't understand much of what he talked about. Then he handed me an electronic contract contraption for me to sign. His cell phone went off with each signature. For the life of me I don't know why I signed, but I'm almost 79 and it didn't **** on me until the next morning that I'd been scammed. The man, ***************************, gave me his business card. I tried emailing him with no result. In fact, the email was returned by IGS saying he was not on their email server. I am assuming the business card was a fake card. I got some forms in the mail from IGS but haven't read them completely (I have vision problems) but mostly I am just scared. I called an attorney's office and talked to a lady who said she would call back with the names of attorneys who handle such cases but I never heard from her. Another thing I got was a gas **** with no payment requested. That never happened before. I have not told anybody about this because I'm ashamed I was so stupid about this but wonder when and how it is going to bite me. I just want this contract canceled and my old gas and electric bills back with no IGS.

      I believe it was 2016 when they rudely showed up at my door. I was putting up my Christmas tree which you could see from the window. They pretended to be with Duke Energy, acting like I could save money on my gas and electric ****. Over half way into their spill, it was apparent they were not with Duke, but guaranteed I would always receive a lower rate. Now, I receive a **** for ******. Nothing in the mail saying my prices are going up. My house is barely **** square feet, I have never had a **** even close to that. I am literally sick to my stomach. Stay away from this company. I hope this makes sense, I am so disgusted.
