**** sold me a used truck a month ago. Not even an hour after I drove it off the lot, the check engine light came on. I called immediately & was asked to bring it back in the next day. **** told me several times that he would give me a follow up call about what was going on, but actually ghosted me. After three weeks without a call, I contacted the service department. Whoever I spoke with told me that finding & repairing the issue wasn't a priority because they're not making money on it. Thanks a lot, that's a great way to do business. I still don't have my truck. Steer clear of this dealership.Ricart

We apologize for the timeframe it took to diagnose the electrical concern. When the customer first brought the vehicle back an hour after taking delivery for the check engine light we offered to take the vehicle back . The customer wanted the vehicle so we provided a loaner while working on the unit. We also had the manufacturer involved. The vehicle was completed on 9/25. We offered to deliver the vehicle, the customer choose to pick it up this Saturday. Again, we apologize for the delay.Review fromAndrea S

When car shopping I expect the sales associates to educate me regarding a vehicles features and equipment. I'm an extremely uncomplicated car shopper. I usually come in well prepared including mentioning features I desire to have and features I can do without. I expect to be told accurate information! Especially when I asked not once but at least 20 times if said vehicle has ALL of the EXACT same safety features as the vehicle I'm turning in. I even called out the required features by specific name. I was told yes many times. As a consumer I can't possibly know all of the features on all of the new vehicles between each model and trim level. I expect the sales associates to know this information and to provide me with accurate answers. Furthermore the staff presented me with two extremely compelling choices: a ************ and a Sportage PHEV. They knew I loved both options so much that I was about to just flip a coin to decide between the two as the monthly payment was identical. They had every opportunity in the world to inform me that the Kona DOES have the features I wanted but the Sportage does NOT. My choice would have been made on ACCURATE details. Instead because I was given INACCURATE information I went with the Sportage. Now I'm stuck with a vehicle that doesn't have what I was told it would. Heartbroken and livid.Ricart

We are sorry to hear the feature you were expecting did not come with your new vehicle. It does have cruise just not smart cruise. Looking at the different makes and models that all have different features can get confusing. Again, we apologize for any frustration this may have caused you.Review fromDaniel C

I honestly cannot believe how horrible i was treated here. I bought a used hyundai sonata and while i made the purchase i bought the extended warranty. I made all the oil changes and basic maintenance as i was supposed to and the car started to fail after about 88k miles. After that point the car was going through 4 qts of oil every 3k miles. My warranty covered the consumption test and the service dept told me it was fine. Well after driving around 2900 miles the car went through 4 qts of oil and when the light came on it was bone dry. I took the car in yet again and this time they wanted to do a combustion chamber cleaning that they said my warranty would not cover and the problem was my fault. At this time the car has 96,500 miles and my warranty expires at 100k miles. The motor is clearly failing and it seems like they are holding me off until the warranty expires. I told them i don't want the work and i want to pick up the car. I get to the department after work and am told the keys are locked in some box and i had to come back tomorrow. I had to yell at the guy to make someone come back to drop the key. I called 4 times, left one message and no one called back this entire time! I feel completely ripped off and get the sleazy car salesman vibe here. Between my wife and i we have purchased 4 vehicles here and i will absolutely never come back to buy a 5th. This honestly seems illegal and the service was absolutely horrendous. I am honestly thinking about legal action because i don't know what else to do.Ricart

Our Service Manager has reached out to the customer offering to see if the manufacturer will assist to finance the needed combustion cleaning to see if that will help with the burning oil they are experiencing. The customer purchased the vehicle used and not the original owner, however, it was purchased with 8,279 miles used. We have not seem the vehicle for service until recently so the customer will need to supply all maintenance records for submission to the manufacturer. We apologize for any frustration this may have caused them.Review fromTammy B

I bought my 2019 Hyundai accent at the used car lot at ricart and took my car back to trade in and told me that there's consumption in the motor. And I purchased a warranty for bumper to bumper and said my warranty will not cover the motor that Hyundai won't honor it. When the oil doesn't drain down through the engine it will end up blowing up and no help from ricart. To make a long story short ricart dosent care about the customer. I'm stuck paying a car payment for nothing.Ricart

We are sorry to hear your vehicle is having oil consumption concerns. I see the 2019 Accent was purchased in December of 2020 from our Ricart Used Cars. Are service records show January of 2022 was the last time it was here at Ricart The concern you have addressed is a manufacturer concern. Your warranty is with Hyundai. Hyundai makes the determination to cover warranty on your vehicle not the Dealer. I hope this information is helpful.Review fromArlisa B

I purchased a used vehicle from Ricart Automotive for my granddaughter on Friday April 12, 2024 and the following Monday April 15, 2024 I began leaving several messages with the dealership regarding a malfunctioning of the radio using the touch screen Bluetooth feature. No one from the dealership ever returned my phone calls therefore we took the car back to dealership to explain our complaint about the car being sold to us with this malfunction and did not make us aware before the sale. I discovered that Ricart Automotive does not care anything about their customers but only cares about making a sale. They were deceitful by telling us there was a software update recall which after discovering the malfunction we thought this may fix the problem. They never told us upfront that there was a malfunctioning of the radio when the sale was made. Ricart has lost my trust in them as being an honest car dealership and I will not make another purchase from them. Also, the interior of the car was filthy dirty. They said they would clean it up before we left with the car, but this didn't happen. It is obvious they don't take pride in the merchandise they sale but only are interested in making a sale. In addition, I purchased a $3,495.00 service contract with them in which they would not honor to fix the issue. Very disappointed with Ricart. I thought they were trustworthy and a dealership you could feel confident you were purchasing a decent vehicle rather it is used or new. Maybe it has something to do with being a senior and a woman that they feel they can take advantage.Ricart

We apologize for any frustration this may have caused. The vehicle was sold AS IS with the purchase of Powertrain Service Contract. The radio software recall would need to be completed at a Toyota Service Center. We thank you for bringing this information to our attention.Review fromJason B

Used cars Online for sale are a scam. They tell you they have it available until you get there. then they tell you it just sold but i have all of these other cars to sell you. So waited to the next day and called them again and asked if it was available and again, they said yes.
So don't drive two hours to a place that has no intention of selling you the car you are looking at.Ricart

Customer found a vehicle online that was located at our Newark location. Customer decided to purchase and as arrangements were being made to have it transported at the same time a customer in Newark had just finalized payment and was picking it up at the Mega Mall. We truly apologize for the inconvenience this was not our intentions. We will be happy to negotiate on another vehicle we have in stock.Review fromLeanne S

I bought my car from this company back in 2021. My transmission went out on the vehicle and it only had $55,000 miles. Also, brought it in for service because the check engine light was coming on. Transmission was covered under warranty but had to pay out of pocket for some minor things. Also, they stated my calipher was bad and that is why my check engine light was coming on. Had transmission and calipher replaced and paid $1500. Then my car started having the same issue it was having before which is why I brought it in in the first place. The dial turn to go from park to drive gets stuck and won’t turn for about 15 mins. ******** in service dept witnessed my check engine light on. Then they let the car sit for 3 days before even looking at it and called me on the 4th day stating they cannot duplicate the issue so they are giving the car back to me. So basically they didn’t help me at all. Not acceptable at all.Ricart

1 starThey are unethical, they do not honor their purchase agreement price when negotiating deal. I will never buy anything from Ricart again. If you choose to ignore my warning then make sure you get it in a printed contract not from the link they send in a text. They can change that and they do. Then after I sold my vehicle and brought back cashiers check to close the deal. The deal they agreed upon to get me to purchase vehicle in the first place was changed on the final purchasing paperwork . I was told it was never offered and must of been a glitch on computer Even though I had snapped a photo of the deal from the sales manager and sales person. I am so mad at myself for getting scammed but I will do everything I can to get future car buyers to stay away.Review fromNicole S

Ran my credit without me even finding a car there that I was interested in. I did a pre-qual on cars.com, but never asked to them to run a hard inquiry when I haven’t even found a car yet. 1st they brought us a car that I didn’t ask for, then I was also told that I could not used custom finance loans (3rd party loans) on their cars that were on the lot for a long time that were marked way down because they would lose money. That’s the only reason I was there was because of that particular car with that particular price! Should have told me so I could have saved a trip. And save a hard inquiry apparently. Then when searching for cars on the lot, salesman did not listen to the specific options that I required, and then had me test drive a car that I ended up liking and then told me the payment was going to be $150 more than what I told him my max budget was! Poor customer service. Even if I find another car that I like that ends up being at that car lot, I will pass and keep looking else, saving myself the headache.Ricart
