I received a $50.00 gift card, from JoAnn Fabric, for Christmas 2024. I did not make it to the store during the 2 wks that were left, that they allowed the usage of this card. Even though the store is still open for sales. Because you know.......I work. So now I've literally had the remainder of $30 STOLEN from me by their corporationbecause my card is no longer considered valid. Stealing is ok??? Last I checked, it was not. Money was spent on that card!

I have approximately $250 in Joanns gift cards and merchandise credits. I attempted to make a purchase at Joann's store on March 9, 2025. The Store refused to honor my gift card and merchandise credit.

I went to the going out of business sale. Items were marked with prices that were not what it ended up as at the register. I bought a building block set that was clearly labeled $7 on the shelf (with multiples of the same items with the same price listed). When I checked out, that item was suddenly $17.99 with 20% off for it to be $14.39. It was listed on the shelf as $7 with the item name on the label. They did not honor the prices. They refused to even show me what everything was ringing up as. I bought Christmas socks that were supposed to be 80% off. They rang up at $9.99 with 20% off. That is not the same. I asked to see the prices as they rang up and was not allowed to. I was ripped off. I want a refund of my purchase. Items were not the system for what they were listed as on the shelves while the shelves were clearly marked with the item name and price. This was at the ****** ******** location 3/6/25, store ****, ticket number *****. I want a refund for this clear and blatant fraud on the side of Joann Fabric. I should be allowed to see what prices are ringing up as and they should be the same as the ones listed on shelves with the sales then applied. That is not what happened.

Joann Fabrics refused to accept a gift card that they issued to me. They were refusing to accept gift cards from anyone, not just me. When I asked an employee what could be done she gave me the customer Service phone number. When I called that number, it was disconnected. I would like Joanne Fabrics to issue me a $10 check to compensate for the fact that they would not accept the $10 gift card they issued to me.

I was given a $150 gift card to Joanns. It had never been used.
With the stores closing, I am unable to use the credit. I did not find out about this until after the date passed to use the gift card.

February 24th, 2024 I made an online purchase and unfortunately the packages went missing. I contacted USPS yesterday (3/6) and was informed that an email would be sent to another facility to try to locate packages. I sent an email this morning requesting a full refund. I contacted my banking institute to try to get resolved as well. I am currently out 30.04 This business is closing soon too. I am no longer able to contact via phone. Thank you and look forward to hearing from you soon.

      Dear *******,

Upon looking into this, I can see that your shipment is still in transit. While FedEx does not currently show an estimated shipping date, I do see that the most recent scan on the package was made on 3/9 and 3/10. Before we can consider a package as lost, and investigate further, we would need to allow for at least 5 business days with no new scans. If there are no updates made on this package by the end of the day on the 5th business day, please let us know and we can assist from there.

      Sincerely,

      JOANN

I am rejecting this response because: I should have already received the items since this order was placed back in February. My banking institution is currently monitoring the situation as well. There are 2 packages currently in transit the 1 package updated return to sender and the other is stating back in *******, WI. In addition, last Thursday I contacted ******** USPS too and they were going to send an email to ******* location on my behalf to see what the holdup was. I should not have to wait another week to receive a refund. Thank you.

I went to JoAnn Fabric in ***** *** ** on March 3, 2025 with the intent on redeeming a Gift Card of $20.00 I received for Christmas. My local news station, **** *** ** reported JoAnn Fabric was going out of business and that my local store in ********* was going out of business but the ***** *** Store was to remain open. I went in and picked a few items to purchase and redeem my gift card, however when I got to check and asked how to use my gift card, the clerk told me I could not use my gift card anymore. The store was closing. I feel this is not right, as JoAnn Fabric has ALREADY received the monies for such gift card therefore, I am the one out the $20.00 therefore I had to pay cash for my purchases. I know of other people as well that this has happened to and this is not fair nor right to consumers as, have I previously stated, JoAnn Fabrics has already received the monies for gift cards. I feel therefore, I should get my $20.00 for the gift card. I have emailed JoAnn's twice with no response and have not thrown out said gift card as it is still worth $20.00. This is unfair and unjust. I want a check for $20.00.

March 8, 2024. I purchased online from Joanns. I was charged $99.90 for the total. It pulled from my account. Recieved email for said order. Well shortly later I received an email of a cancelation to my order. With no mentions of me getting a refund for the transaction. Sent an email about the issue and have still received NO COMMUNICATION OR ANYTHING. I feel scammed and very upset by this.

In Dec.2024 I was given a Joann's gift card. I used it on 10 Feb 2025 and attempted to use it again on # March 2025 only to be told it was no longer valid. I knew Joann's was in trouble and closing many stores, but until 28 Feb. I did not know this store was closing. I get emails from them daily and they never mentioned they were not going to honor their cards after that date. I didn't even get a chance to try to use it because the emails kept saying this store wasn't on the list to be closed. I talked to a couple of ladies at the store on the 3rd who also had gift cards they wanted to use. One said he son gave it to her for her birthday in January! I do not think it is right that they were selling gift cards in December and Jan when they knew they were insolvent. It is very unfair that they took money for them than decided not to honor them. I had over $90.00 in my cart and just left the store with nothing. I asked for the corporate phone number and they gave me an invalid number to call.

      Business Response

      Dear ******,

We sincerely apologize for any frustration this situation may have caused. Following a comprehensive sale process and auction, GA Group together with the Prepetition Term Loan Agent, was selected as having the winning bid to acquire substantially all of JOANN’s assets. Subject to court approval of the transaction, the winning bidders plan to wind-down ongoing operations and conduct going-out-of-business sales at all JOANN locations.

We are committed to working constructively with the winning bidder to ensure an orderly wind-down of operations that minimizes the negative impact on all JOANN Team Members, vendors, customers and communities. We expect to begin, or in some cases continue, going-out-of-business sales at all locations immediately.
Due to these changes, the redemption of JOANN gift cards, discounts, coupons, and price matching have been suspended. We truly wish we could assist further with this matter, but you can file a claim for reimbursement through the following website: ***********************************************

      Sincerely,

      JOANN

I received a giftcard less than 3 months ago, the remaining balance is $39.03 however, while I went to my store today, I was denied use of my giftcard and told giftcards are no longer accepted even though our store is open for 3 more months. This feels criminal, as Joanns has taken our money for the giftcards and now we are left feeling as though we were stolen from not being able to use the giftcards we bought. This is unacceptable to the highest degree, any other store closing has ALWAYS allowed giftcards until the store is actually shutting its doors for the last day. This is truly robbery at this point.
