      In May of 2023 a new monthly rental agreement was signed, to be good for June 2023 to June 2024. The amount in the agreement is $925. We have two pets, so we added an additional $50 per the agreement, for a total of $975.
      This amount has been paid, and there is still a balance of $75 on my account.
      I reached out to the office twice, trying to speak with the billing/accounting department and have had no answer. Because $1050 is not the agreed upon amount, I've informed them that late fees will not be paid, as they are breaking the lease agreement.

      I returned my home keys to apartment office on May1 st 10.30 am Monday and have been charged full amount of the rent ..they charged me excessive and unconstitutional penalties…they said I was supposed to leave keys before but on Sunday their office is closed and told that I was supposed to leave at drop box…

      I lived in Broadview Gardens for 2 years. I was told in January 2023 that I had to give a 30 notice of not renewing my lease I call a week prior to giving my notice and was told by the property manager Amber to come in on Monday and she would back date my notice because it’s a 60 day notice. I go in on Monday was told by the receptionist that Amber was off that day and to still put my notice in. She then called me telling me that since the other occupant asked to be taken off the lease in December 2022 they then stopped the renewal of my lease. I was told to turn my keys in by March 27, 2023 . I then received an invoice May 1, 2023 stating my lease doesn’t expire until March 31, 2024 I call corporate they said Amber no longer works for the company and that I have to pay $1308 to buy out my lease. The new property manager of Broadview gardens Rebecca said she was familiar with the situation and Amber in fact is the one that said I was set to move and my lease didn’t renew. Just horrendous service and communication within the company.

      I have tried contacting them about my refrigerator going out October of 2021. I have not had a refrigerator in well over a year and a month later the light in the kitchen went out. They came and looked at the refrigerator and said that I needed a new one. He left and never returned. Last month I was calling them to see if I can get a month to month lease after explaining my situation, they in turn said that the rent would be going up substantially. To my response I asked when will my unit be fixed for me to have to pay such an inflation, they said that there was nothing they could do since I only allow people in my apartment when I’m in the apartment due to them coming in and out my apartment whenever they wanted to which was a huge problem for me. I have not missed one payment even though I can’t actually use the most important part of the apartment as well has the walls are caving in in the bathroom as well as the front closet. One day I came home and there was water all over the floor and it appeared to be coming from the ceiling. I have been trying to get in touch with them since October 2021. Left voicemails as well as called back to back to back and 10 days before my lease is up I finally reached someone to be told there isn’t anything they can do besides increase the rent because I want to go month to month because I haven’t been able to find a place due to not making 3x the rent or the reoccurring yearly up charge on the current apartment with no intent to fix or make right.

      A letter was put in mailbox on March 15, 2023 about rent increasing from $675 to $985 starting May 1st. When questioned why I was not notified 60 days in advance they claimed they put a note on door in February. In the past they have let me know of any rent increases in February before lease is up. I have a Ring doorbell on both doors. When I told them this they began to make up excuses. I feel this is a rent trap because I would have been looking for another place due to this great increase. I thought there had to be notice. Nothing but issues since they have taken over. Can never get a straight answer from the office when inquiring about anything.

      I am filing a noise complaint on behalf of the tenant that lives above me. It is in the middle of the week, 9:54pm, and she is blaring music along with having a party. People are coming in and out of the building along with slamming the door of the tenants and you can hear them yelling and screaming.

      Lived here for a year, was unhappy with the condition of the building. Siding all over the ground, dog crap everywhere you looked, my friend had mold in her closet and kitchen. Twice I reached out to maintenance to report a leak in my sink which they denied finding.
      I got a new job in Cleveland so I informed management of my intent to vacant, well within 30 days and signed my paperwork. My lease was up in December but because of the holiday weekend the office was closed on Saturday and my sister was unable to return the keys until the following Monday. She was not informed of any money owed.
      February 4th I received a bill, more than the 30 day deadline the landlord has to send an itemized list of charges.
      I was charged for 3 carpet replacements in a one bedroom and a full months rent plus a late fee. Obviously management knew I was not living in the unit, nor could they rent it out to anybody else at the time. Just a slimy way to make more money.

      Find the gecko as I moved in I was called the day before telling me that the apartment wasn't ready and I couldn't move in I had to because I had movers scheduled a down payment for it and I needed to be out of my current place I moved into an apartment that was filthy a wall was actually missing in the back bedroom bathroom very soon after I moved in I started experiencing the toilets and both bathrooms overflowing and backing up from the 7th floor the dishwasher didn't work I cleaned myself even though I was told someone would be sent to clean the apartment I had people entering the apartment without letting me know I came home a month later to find a fellow fixing the wall bathroom he was already in the apartment 2 months after I moved in here I suffered a brain hemorrhage and a stroke I continued to clean up sewage water plunging toilets that were backing up into my apartment for 7 more months finally they called a plumber we still have to plunge the toilet because they have Plumbing issues very serious plumbage Plumbing issues in the building that has continued throughout moving people out of their Apartments and to other apartments leaving Apartments empty on the first floor because it's backing up so bad I've always paid my rent they've never had to wait for my rent this is a contract that's supposed to look for both parties and it does not for the tenants here there's a whole website about them that experiences with aiy properties on Facebook many people have complained to Better Business Bureau we have called the city we just spent a year with our mailboxes broken where anybody can gain access to our mail they were moving the mailboxes but the reason it took so long is because again the sewage kept backing up where they were moving the mailboxes people are dealing with bed bugs roaches rats constantly getting stuck in the elevators this is the company that owns a building in Akron where the lady died and is back on the news for the same building where they have no heat and hot water the water is constantly getting shut off here to do temporary repairs because they won't spend the money to completely fixed the sewage problems and this is just a few of the problems here there is currently crime scene tape on one of the doors entrance doors to the first floor downstairs that has been there since before Christmas the laundry rooms are constantly overflowing

      I live in an apartment complex operated by this company. I have been dealing with on going water leak damage issues since I moved in 4 yrs ago. I still have reported repair issues involving water damage that have now taken over two years to repair. Not to mention on going mold issues and fraying carpets. I am a disabled veteran who has mobility issues as well as PTSD and TBI. These type of issues in my apartment cause further health problems for me.
      There is also an issue of being charged for supposedly not having renters insurance one week of June 2022. Which I have always carried and was missing documentation due to change of company. They decided to bill me in September 2022. After telling me in September and October it was a mistake I received numerous calls and messages that I still owed the money. I can't get things fixed for years... yet somehow they can charge for something months later. This doesn't seem ethical.

            They have yet to actually get back to me. I would prefer they reach out by email. My phone will automatically reject calls that show as unknown or possible spam. The system will however let messages be left.
