  This company is absolutely horrible to work with. They recently purchased the property we have been renting for the past three years. We have a huge list of various maintenance concerns that they will not address. We were due for a lease renew and they wouldn't give us the information needed to renew the lease so we continued to pay on time while trying to get into contact with them. Months later they snuck up to the property and left a note on our door saying we owe them over $300. I was home but they didn't bother to knock or attempt to speak with me. They also waited to leave the note right before they closed on a Friday so we wouldn't be able to contact them about it until Monday. The thing is we were paying the amount stated on their online system on time every month and now suddenly they have decided to go back and raise our rent from the past three months because we didn't sign the lease that they wouldn't communicate with us about! We called them on Monday and they said they would have somebody contact us back either later that day or the next. It is now Saturday and nobody has contacted us. I wasn't surprised. They do this every single time! We tried contacting corporate with no luck. They refuse to give us an email address so we can have things in writing. I am sick of this and we are going to take the steps needed to put our rent in escrow and get out of here as soon as possible. Do not rent from this company. RUN AWAY!

  Do not rent from this company. I’ve been living here for 3 years and upon my renewal I never received any notice regarding the details upon my decision to renew my lease, yet I received threatening notices and was told by the property manager that they were sent in error. The leasing office never responds or answers the phone. I had to keep reaching out to request my lease renewal and didn’t receive it until 30 days before the renewal date. Once received I was advised that due to AIY properties wanting to match market value my rent would increase $125. Now I’m no expert but I was under the impression that my rent would increase $20-$60 but never was I told it would increase $125 especially after being a loyal tenant who has never been late on her rent. In addition to the outrageous increase I didn’t receive any information advising there would be a increase that high and due to them not sending my lease until 30 days before my renewal I didn’t have much time to find a new place to move to. I’m extremely disappointed in Broadview Gardens and AIY entirely. This apartment is not worth $855. I had to purchase my own air conditioners, the parking lots are super dark and remain that way after filing a complaint due to my Cadillac converter being stolen 3 times and they have done nothing. They do not care about the loyal tenants at all.

  Do not rent from this company. I have an ongoing rat problem and their solution was to put out glue traps meant for mice and just tell me "well, don't put food out anywhere they can get to it I can't use more counters or lower cabinets to store any food or trust that they haven't been on countertops. I called the county and they only dealt with rats coming in certain areas from the outside.

  I been out of hot water since Friday and now it’s Sunday. I have to move my family to a hotel just so we can have hot water. I pay over $1000 dollars for rent in a small two bedroom apartment and I truly believe if this a professional business it should of been solved Friday when the problem started. I try talking to the management and they gave the run around and I’m very frustrated about the whole situation and it doesn’t make sense!

  I come to see some of the available properties in their apartment complex, only for the representive that showed me the one I got approved for to tell me the one I looked at and put my money down for was taken. Then, he barely showed me another after my money was already paid. I got roped into a year lease in what feels like h*** to me. It's a pet friendly complex which is great but my upstairs neighbor leaves the dog outside and he poos and pees EVERYWHERE. The same thing is going now by the other tenents. Dog poop all in the grass and on the side walks. It took forever for them to send a matenance person to check and change out the washer that I pay for in amenities. I got the washer worked on and they fussed saying they won't pay me back for my loss. Then they start to send letters saying I owe money and I can get evicted... Everytime I call to complain, I get a letter saying I owe 30 dollars like they're trying to "punish" me for standing up and letting know the issues in the complex. They're rude, unresponsive, and uncaring about the issues their tenents encounter. For 3 weeks I had to go the their per per wash laundry rooms and wash my clothes causing an Extra bill for me. They have no grace period for rent even if your pay falls on a holiday. They set us up for failure and the don't care about anything but money.

  I am on Social Security and have lived here for 9 years. Rent for regular folk is due on the 1st, but because Social Security does not pay until the 1st-3rd, Social Security residents have until the 6th to pay. I paid my rent on 5/31/2023 for the month of June. In July, my rent will increase to over 800 dollars from my current 626. I paid them 651 and change and they are trying to say on my page I owe them 613?! Nope. I filed a police report, contacted my case manager and I am about to go up to Social Security and report how the property manager(s) at AIY are treating me. I'm still barely OK with a simply apology at this point and for someone to fix this obvious error, but as more and more agencies are informed about AIY's treatment and shady business practices, I wonder how low their stock price will go and how many of their employees get in trouble? Funny thing on top of this, I was under the impression the residents had access to on site laundry facilities. Our washer has been out of service at least since March. We are on June now. Come on.

  I haven't been here a year yet and my rent went from 655.00 to 720.00. I asked if they had a senior citizens discount they tell me they did away with that a couple years back. I find it to be discriminating against seniors. There is 1 handicap spot in the parking lot for 6 bldgs. Other parking lots available but why would I walk across the lot or across the street when my parking lot is outside my window. So many break in in cars. No camera's in parking lots. I find it very unsafe

  I’d leave zero stars! The rudest people. You simply can not contact anyone with questions or concerns. Either they don’t answer the office door or they don’t answer phone calls. They do not return messages. After explaining how upset I am that you cant get concerns addressed because no one calls you back, they thought it was funny to text me . I called in asking why a text and not a call. It’s a joke to these people working in office. When is the company going to take these reviews seriously?
  Another issue asides from office is the maintenance. My son slipped and fell on ice on steps because they don’t put salt down. This was reported to a voicemail and no returned call back . The same day an elderly lady fell on ice. She and I again left messages with no retuned call. I called several times each day leaving messages . My question was if tenants are responsible for salt or maintenance. Someone actually answered and when I asked her she did not know the answer. I told her my son fell and an elderly women. She was going to call me back . Never did call me back. My son was in ER and treated. This my lawyer is handling.
  My lease is up at the end of April. The unit is cleaned and a letter to management with notice of not renewing lease and forwarding address as to where to mail deposit. I can almost guarantee there will be communication issues and I will not receive my Deposit.
  They think it’s a joke having PTSD. If you’d like to hear our phone conversations I have them and texts .
  I also have logged every single time I have tried to contact the office with no response back. My account shows zero balance for April. No one can explain this to me . When person was trying to explain she simply did not know why I had zero balance or why I received a text message. I asked for someone to call me back who has correct information for me. I do not count on this returned call back .

  I have lived in Park Towers apartment in Fairview long before AIY bought the building. It was a perfect apartment until AIY took over. Once they took over they changed the pool hours. Closed Sundays and only open till 4pm Monday thru Friday even though the whole building works those hours. So if you had a hard day at work and want to jump into a pool you are out of luck. Don't try to give them a call to address a concern, they will not answer nor will they call you back. I'm pretty sure corporate are made up people because they also never call back. Nor do they care about their properties as long as the money is rolling in. I have called for over a year and gave sent many emails to fix the intercom so it will ring to my phone like it is supposed to. That also STILL after a year not fixed. This build is a no dog build yet there are at least 2 dogs on each floor. They don't remove the snow so you can go to work in the winter but will charge a late fee if tour rent is not paid on time. Whenevr the people above me run their water the pipes make a screaming noise in my apartment. Reported it many times. Guess what not fixed. But they will raise your rent 106 dollars and not let you renew your lease so they can legally raise it that high. Right now the garage door is completely broken off the hinges laying in the corner of the garage and they don't plan on fixing it anytime soon because they are cheap. But they will except everyone to pay the $40 garage fee. Not only does the missing door expose our cars to theif but it allows just anyone off the street access to our apartments putting us at risk. The only thing AIY cares about is money. If they put themselves in our place they won't except what we put up with. I am really rating them with 0 stars.

  False advertising I have screen shots saved of their apt & townhouse availability, but when you call there's only 2 bedroom apts available. Website clearly shows they are showing 3 bedroom apts & townhouses available. Spoke with "Justin" who also stated the reach out to future clients within 3-4 days. They have never made any attempts to contact my son & daughter in law who are relocating from Chandler AZ to Austintown Ohio in 3 weeks. My son & his wife had contacted them over a month ago. It appears this company attempts to lure people in with false claims on their website with something that is not available or they are not reaching out due to race. Maybe they already have their quota of people of color in their 3 bedrooms, I hope this is not the philosophy of this company it may just be that of an office employee.
