January 16, 2025 $ ******* - Paid to the construction company which is Great Day Improvement, Patio Enclosures, I agreed to$57,553.82, but what was not disclosed to me when I signed the contract was the overall cost for the project. After learning the total amount of the project; I notified ***** ****** to cancel the project ; but he stonewalled me and that took away the three (3) days that I had to cancel the project No, the reason the company would not resolve the problem their using the three (3) day window to their advantage to not resolve the problem. Yes, the advertising came from face book, this started January of 2025.

We understand your concerns regarding the financing and total project cost. Our records show that you reviewed and signed the contract and loan documents on January 9, and the project proceeded accordingly with site measurements and submission for approval. We recognize that financing terms can be a significant factor in any project, and we strive to ensure all details are clearly presented before moving forward.
While the contract includes a standard three-day cancellation period, we regret that there was any misunderstanding about the costs involved. We have made efforts to find a fair resolution, including offering a settlement, but we acknowledge that it may not align with your expectations. We have made multiple attempts to reach you to discuss a resolution, but we have not received a response. Our goal is to address your concerns and work toward a fair outcome. Please contact us at your earliest convenience so we can continue the conversation and find the best way forward. Thank you.

I hired this company and they keep giving me the run around and scheduling dates to come out to complete the job but don't show up. I've called the corporate office yet they have not called me back.

Consumer stated this has been ongoing for 2 years. Each time a new crew or person comes out and tries to finish the job. Many times the parts or measurements are incorrect and they have to reorder and come back. Consumer is waiting on the trim for the door to be installed. They reached out to the business and were told they had a meeting and would contact back. The business is aware of what issue still needs addressed. The consumer has not heard back since.

The custom parts are expected to arrive next week, and if they arrive on schedule and in proper condition, we plan to complete the installation that same week. To ensure everything moves forward smoothly, our Area Install Manager will be reaching out to review the details and confirm the next steps. We recognize the challenges this project has faced and are committed to resolving the issue once and for all. Thank you for your continued patience as we work to complete this installation.

Contract Date 8/14/24 - Work to start 12 to 14 Weeks from date of contract & to be completed 1-3 weeks after commencement. Permit was pulled on 10/22. Project was started on around 11/10. Sub informed us they were done with their work on 12/5 but said they were unable to install doggie door as it did not fit. After further investigation & looking at print, my husband & I noticed that whole room was not built to print. 1) The deck was built 7" higher than drawn. The knee walls measured approx 20" instead of 24" as shown on print. We did not get the tempered glass transform above the sliding door that is noted on print (due to walls being too short). We also noticed that the sun peaks through at at least 4 joints in the walls & joint in sliding door. Instead of having 1 stair as shown on print, they had to build 2 stairs to reach entry way. Due to this change, the stairs are unsafe/awkward. We met with the ***** County Bldg Inspector & he did not approve the final inspection. He failed them on the stairs as they were not built to code & on the skirting around the deck as it hits the ground. This is also against code. Great Day did send someone out to look at issues & he agreed that they need to be fixed. However, it has been now been a month & a half since he was out. Nothing has yet been completed. I called & spoke with ****** from Great Day last week & she said the new panel (for doggie door) would be in on the 5th & she would schedule them to come out on Mon. 2/10 to come out to complete work. I reached out to talk with someone regarding project today 2/5 and the panel came in wrong. Will need to order a new one which has set us back again.

      Business Response

      Date: 02/14/2025

We understand your frustration and appreciate your patience as we work to resolve these issues. The necessary materials for the repairs have been ordered, and we will contact you as soon as they arrive at our warehouse to schedule the completion of the work. Additionally, we will be providing you with $1,000 in compensation and covering the cost of the panel for the dog door. We remain committed to ensuring your project is completed to your satisfaction and will keep you updated throughout the process. Thank you.

      Customer Answer

      Date: 02/14/2025

I am rejecting this response because:
I want to clearly define what I am asking. As for the response regarding the compensation they offered, my husband & I tried to clearly state in our phone conversation with ****** on 1/2. We would accept the room as built (with the corrections as stated before) with a 25% discount of the project price. ****** was polite but seemed to be in a rush to get off the phone. She stated that she would have to talk her boss as they were working on a solution.  We did not hear back from ****** so I then sent her an email on 1/13 stating that we were very disappointed & frustrated with how long it was taking them to come up with a solution & we wanted to get this resolved quickly.  I then reiterated the conversation we had with ****** on 1/3. ****** responded on 1/15 via text that the are reordering the panel so that the doggie door can be installed.  She also said that they were going to fix the stairs & skirting. She said we could go online to look up the T1 and let them know what we choose.  I asked that she clarify what she meant by "letting them know what we choose" in regards to the skirting. She said that she would get clarification for me & I still have not heard anything (a month later). We then text ****** a pic on 1/17 of the steps that we would like to have installed since they were higher than we anticipated & are awkward to maneuver.  She said she would get back to me. I also followed up with her via text 1/28 about the steps.  Again, I have not gotten any input on the pic that we had sent.  She said that they were originally going to schedule the work week of 2/10 (before panel came in wrong again) & we didn't understand this as we still did not discuss the steps. On 2/3, I reached out to ****** to have someone call my husband as he had questions before repairs were made. No response.  I then found an email for Kevin Farrell (Operations Supervisor) stating that we were originally working with ****** to ger our project wrapped up.  I explained that ****** said that she was still waiting on her boss to get some answers.  I then asked that he please contact my husband as he wanted to discuss the upcoming repairs.  He did not respond to me or my husband, instead forwarded my email to ******.  This is why we went to the BBB.  We can not get anyone to take the time to call us & give us their full attention.

We appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this. As previously stated, we are offering $1,000 in compensation and providing the panel for the dog door. Additionally, our installation supervisor will be on-site to ensure the necessary corrections, including the steps and skirting, are properly addressed. Regarding the discount request, we understand your concerns; however, we must finalize the project as agreed. All materials have been ordered and once they arrive we will reach out to schedule completion. Thank you.

      Customer Answer

      Date: 02/25/2025

I am rejecting this response because:

I spoke to ****** yesterday 2/24 over the phone.  She assured me that the installation supervisor will be onsite to ensure the necessary corrections are made & addressed properly. She said it should be scheduled the week of March 3rd or March 17th depending when panel is received. I was very pleased to see hear that the project should be wrapped up soon. However, we find the $1,000.00 compensation you are offering unacceptable.  1st of all, we did not receive the window transition over the sliding door (as included in original print & cost of the project) & we should be additional compensated for the additional time this project has taken. This has been a huge inconvenience.  As for you providing the panel for the doggie door, you should.  We paid for the original panel through a change order that has already been taken from our line of credit/loan thru GreenSky. It was not our fault that the panel was incorrect therefore we should not have to pay for the new panel anyways.  We still have not heard about getting the step design we have requested. See attachement. Look forward to getting this project complete ASAP!

Had 6 windows installed. Two will not close securely. Windows were installed late July/early August of 2024. They said they would be out to fix the issues ****. It is now February and i still have two windows which will not close all the way. It is the middle of winter and my new windows leak more than the old ones. I have asked to be referred to a manager or supervisor multiple times in hopes that we could resolve the problem. Each time my request has been ignored. I have had no communication with anyone at the company other than customer service emails. All i want is the windows to work properly

We have a patio enclosure sunroom. One of the door panels shattered. We called great day improvements to replace the glass panel. It took several months and 2 tries to get glass replaced. It seems the work person had to bend the door tracks to make the glass panel fit. He did not put the screen back in and now we cant get the screen in. I have called and sent multiple emails without any reply.

Great Day / Patio Enclosures was hired to enclose a solarium on the back of my home in Feb of 2024. The contract says the work was to be completed in summer of 2024, but instead is dragging on into January 2025 (current). The experience has been a nightmare. After paying a $30,000 deposit and a subsequent payment of $16,000, they ghosted us for 2-3 months at a time, even with us following up every week and more often, until we had to threaten legal action, now three times. Now, they failed to post the third charge on the loan/lender company Green Sky, and due to inactivity, my GreenSky account closed. Since the account closed, Patio Enclosures couldn't post the next charge on my account. Due to this, they stopped service working on the enclosure installation, until I pay. They can go 4 months without contacting us after I paid $46,000, but after 2 weeks of my account closing due to their own failure, they can stop working on my project and demand I pay the next $30,000 in full before continuing? Also, due to a setback line on our property, the structure had to be 3ft smaller than originally planned in the CAD drawings. We got ~$10,000 reduced on our payment total from this. After begging for contact and the updated CAD drawings that illustrated the 3ft decrease, we were never sent the CAD drawings, and work on the property begun anyway. Upon measuring the structure that actually got built, it is 3.5ft smaller than planned. We're losing another half foot without our knowledge and wasn't agreed upon. If we could have seen the CAD drawing beforehand, we could have caught this. Especially because I am paying for every inch of this. During installation, they damaged the internet wire twice and lost internet from it. We've had to beg them to call/email back, and has been the most nightmareish experience I've ever had hiring and has genuinely been a large source of stress on my life for a year. I want them to complete the structure, and give me my money back.

      Business Response

      Date: 02/04/2025

We understand your frustration and sincerely regret the delays and challenges you've faced. Our team has been actively working to address the payment issue and ensure your project stays on track. We will continue to follow up until we connect and find a resolution. While we've been onsite regularly and in communication throughout the installation, we acknowledge that this process has not met your expectations. That said, in order for work to continue, the account will need to be brought current per the terms of the contract. Our goal remains to complete your solarium as outlined, and we are committed to working with you to move forward.

Project began in April 2024 by the company pouring the concrete foundation to my neighbors, 2 houses down. Immediately after what they considered completed (paid) we experienced several leaks, we worked with local office and had 4 techs come out through the next few months to fix the leaks with no success. To date I do not have the leaks resolved, All the members in management I have reached are not returning calls or emails, they may be waiting for the warranty to expire. We just want what we were sold, be able to enjoy a waterfall, leak free patio/sunroom.

We entered a contractual agreement with Patio Enclosures 14 OCT 2024, which stated the company involved with install a glass enclosure on an existing patio, a ceiling fan, flooring, and a concrete pad measuring 10’x14’; contract price $********** We were informed that once our project began the patio enclosure would take one day, but the entire project may take two days due to the concrete pour. We were notified that our materials had been fabricated and deliver to the patio enclosures warehouse 18 DEC 2024 with install by the end of the month. I called 27 DEC 2024 for an update to the installation timeline and was told it would start 30 DEC 2024. The project did not actually start until 7 JAN 2025, at which time the contractor dug the outline for the concrete pad and left two pallets containing bags of concrete. We requested a new contractor due to lack of communication and notified the regional office that this project lingering was causing us to have to reschedule other projects we had coordinated, such as having the concrete coated with polyurea and landscaping (delayed because he cannot lay sod where the pallets are). The patio was enclosed (although the doors were installed with incorrect orientation) and flooring installed, but we are still pending installation of the fan and concrete pad. Numerous calls are placed to the company daily, either with no response, or inadequate response and poor follow up. We are ready for this job to be done!

      Customer Answer

      Date: 01/21/2025

Hello. The complaint is against Patio Enclosures by Great Day Improvements. I’m not sure who the other company is or why the complaint is attached to them. That is errant. Thank you.

We understand your frustration and appreciate your patience throughout this process. While unexpected delays occurred due to contractor changes and weather conditions, we remain committed to completing your project as promised. The enclosure and flooring have been installed, and the concrete pad was successfully poured. The final step is adjusting the door orientation. We sincerely regret any inconvenience this has caused and appreciate your continued cooperation as we bring your project to completion.

I am rejecting this response because: although there is new regional management who is promising resolution, as of this moment no additional action has taken place. We are still waiting for the concrete to be finished (concrete splatter removed from surfaces and wood framing removed), enclosure door location to be changed, ceiling fan hung. We will accept a response once all work has been finalized. We’ve paid for certain project and level of professionalism. While it’s too late for professionalism, we are determined to have a finished project we can be proud of without performing work ourselves.

We understand your frustration and appreciate your patience. This matter has not been handled satisfactorily. They scheduled to meet with us today, but cancelled yesterday. This is the same pattern of treatment we’ve received from this company time and time again. Empty promises and a job that is still not complete. We are 24 days away from our back yard wedding and need this project completed.

We understand your frustration and sincerely apologize for the delays and any inconvenience this has caused, especially with your upcoming wedding. We have been working to ensure all issues are addressed in a single visit, including reordering the rails, adjusting the door direction, removing the wooden frame, and hanging your ceiling fan. We regret the scheduling change and recognize the urgency of completing your project. Please know that we are prioritizing this to ensure everything is finished as quickly as possible. The materials have been ordered and are set to arrive early next month. Thank you.

I am rejecting this response because: we never had the meeting with the manager and are still pending completion of our job. We took care of the concrete framing ourselves so that it could be coated. Still pending correct door installation and ceiling fan installation. Per ****** this will tentatively take place 12 MAR…our ceremony is 15 MAR. We’re cautiously optimistic this will get completed before our wedding and will be satisfied when the response is action taken and our project is completed satisfactorily.

Thank you for your patience. We understand how important it is to have your project completed before your wedding, and we’re committed to making that happen. Our manager will be out when the remaining work is finished, including the correct door installation and ceiling fan. Per Debbie, this is tentatively scheduled for March 12, and we will do everything we can to stay on track.

Patio Enclosures installed my enclosure on 3 September 2024. The total cost of the installment was $3,872.81. Payment was made immediately and within terms of the contract. My order # is *********. On 26 September 2024 Hurricae Helene came through. I had several trees that came down and one tree punctured a hole in the screen. it's not a large hole but still requires fixing. The next week I called Patio Enclosures and reported the damaged and asked that someone comeout and repair the screen. They asked for pictures. I emailed pictuures. That was the beginning of October 2024. I have made at least 25-30 phone calls to Patio Enclosres. Sometimes I get a voice on the other end and somethimes I do not. I have asked for a return call and never receive one. Once in awhile I have spoken to someone and they tell they will call me back....no return call. The last eprson I spoke with before the holidays was Pete. He told me he would contact *** who handles the north region and would call me back. No call back. HPete even gave me his number which I have called several times, only getting voice mail and asking for him to return my call. Nothing. I understand Patio Enclosures is a busy company but communication and customer service is non-existent. Please help.

The homeowner lives in GA and is outside our service area for repairs.  They should have been told however we failed to do so.

Even though this was storm damage, we will contact the homeowner and do the work free of charge.

I do not have an address for the Jacksonville office. The email address is:  *************************************.

I have attached a copy of the original contract I signed.
