1 starToday, I received star rewards coupons in the mail. They are to be redeemed when making a purchase using the ****** credit card. So, I went to the *************** in *********, **, today and purchased sunglasses from ******. The cashier did not apply any rewards to my purchase, so I asked him about it. He said he was not aware of any rewards to redeem to my account for purchases, so I was charged full price for the sunglasses ($202.99 sub total). When I got home, I called customer service, and the rep I spoke with said there was nothing she could do. I asked her what the point of receiving star rewards coupons in the mail if I was not able to use them and she had no answer. I then asked her if she could apply the credit to my account, and she said no, that they were unable to do that. So I then asked to speak to her supervisor, and she said, "What do you want to speak to my supervisor for?" I told her because she was unauthorized to help me any further, I wanted to speak to someone above her. She replied by saying there was nothing a supervisor could do for me either. I asked her if she was refusing my request to speak to a supervisor, and she said no, but that all the supervisors were really busy. She told me she would put me on hold and find a supervisor for me to talk to. I was on hold for 16 minutes, and then guess what....I was disconnected. This is the worst service I have ever received from ****** or from any big corporation and I cannot believe they treat their customers like this. I am going to return the sunglasses and close out my account because this is ridiculous!!!Review fromranee c

1 starKept having my online orders go to last act shortly after I ordered them thus screwing me over for a return if it did not fit. I kept repeatedly having this issue. I put in an appeal to request them to put in a warning that item goes to last act on blank date. They should have exceptions for people that order the item just before it goes to last act. They do not. The only time I have issues with Macy's is online never in person. In-person would be 3.5-4 stars online 0-1 at best. When I order bras 9/10 times I end up getting the wrong one and just have to return it. Online returns (when they're not last act) are hassle free for those of us that don't have time to cloths shop. or closest mall is like an hour away. Is it me or have the check out lines slowed down? The cashiers are friendly but service really, really sllloooowwww at best. I know they have to have high accuracy but they take up to 5 min with each customer regardless of how many items they have. Then you get the one customer that comes up with like 30 items and tries to cut in line. Glad Macy's went back to earlier opening hours for shoppers. Sorry but noon was just too late. 10 am is better. I agree no need to open at 8-9 am like you use to. Shoppers are very low at that hour and there should be zero reasons to cloths shop at 8 am.Review fromjulie b.

1 starBloomingdale employees are the worst in the industry. Don't want to help, plain lazy. I tried to get garments out of "hold" and the "sales" (?) person said she was leaving and was turning me away. Who does that??? Wake up America. Goodbye Bloomingdales, Boca Raton, FL. YOU Are HORRIBLE!! One star is way too much.Review fromTracy A

1 starI ordered from Macy's online website and the next day I received a text from my default credit card asking me to approve the order. I then realized that I had ordered too many items and had my card company decline the transaction. But, then after realizing that Macy's had info of another card that I was not aware they had on my online account had been charged. This has been an ongoing issue for over a month. I have tried contacting Macy's but they make it impossible to speak to anyone and the online chats are worthless. I consider what Macy's did...using the other card they had on file, total fraud. I did NOT want this transaction to go through and the one card company was able to decline as they recognized it to be out of character. The other card company did nothing to help my situation. Now I am stuck with either accepting the chair that won't fit in my house or paying whatever fees they want to charge.Review fromJudith S

1 starMoving from Florida to South Carolina, and was extremely excited about furnishing our new home. Was EXTREMELY disappointed when our couch arrived. It was the most uncomfortable couch we have ever bought (cost us over $3,500). The couch was extremely hard and was causing horrific back pain. I contacted Macy's customer service and they were rude and unhelpful. We mentioned that my husband had 12 dislocated discs on his back and was suffering extremely when he sat on the couch (had just been delivered, called the same day, just a few hours after delivery). They informed us that we needed to pay the return fee plus 15% of the cost of the couch if we wanted to return it. We told them that the sales person never told us about such fees for return. We were exposed to two sales persons arguing over the who got the commission sale and asked us to choose between them. We were extremely uncomfortable and embarrassed. Since we had also purchased three mattresses, we asked them to share the commission (though they were not very happy about). At no time were we told there would be any fees if cancelled, they appeared to be more concerned with their own arguments regarding commission than explaining anything important to us. Customer service told us to take it up with the store as they would not assist us any further. We then called the store and asked for a manager, and the sales person told us there was nothing the manager would do for us. He added that the couch on the floor (which was soft and completely comfortable, reason why we ordered it) was because it had been on the floor over 2 years and it was broken in. Again, this was NEVER explained to us. We are EXTREMELY disappointed in Macy's and plan on closing BOTH of our credit cards immediately. All I wish we could do was return the couch without any fees due to health/back issues. Macy's does not have any customer service sympathy and in our opinion, is there to just make money.Review fromMari A

1 starIf I could give 0 stars to Macys I would. I returned and item to Macys via *** and tracking showed Macys received on April 8th. Many phone calls and 15 days later I was told I have to go to the store the swipe my card to get my refund. I did that yesterday and guess what refund still hasnt hit my account!!! Holding on to my money is not acceptable!Review fromRobert K

1 starI purchased thousands of dollars worth of mattresses and thought that it would be a good idea to have the 10 year Worry No More Warranty. After all, my wife and I were told that there was any damage to our mattress due to stains or spills, then we would get a cleaning service or replacement of our mattress cover or a replacement mattress or a full refund of the mattress in the form of a voucher for at Macy's. It's been 2 years and we never used the warranty service and it's been a nightmare trying to get the voucher. You could only request the voucher online, but the *************** site is never working right. I have called to try to get a hold of a person and when I do they tell me they are having problems with the website and to keep trying. It's been 5 months already and multiple attempts visiting the stores and talking to Stewart and managers on duty two to three times per month are unsuccessful. My wife and I have not slept on our mattress in more than five months due to the issues that were caused by the worry no more program i.e. Macy’s .Looks like they want you to give up so they don't have to give you what you have paid for. I’m done with the shameful deceiving business that Macy’s is operating. Hopefully, someday this will be a class action lawsuit against the Macys owned worry no more program will teach them that they should not pick on the little guy through deceptive misleading practices. Literally buy anything from anywhere besides Macys.Review fromchelsea W

1 star****** has lost any ounce of respect I ever had for them as a store. In late December I purchased shoes using a Christmas gift card. The shoes didn't fit so I returned them via mail only to have been playing tag with customer service for my gift card refund. I left the standard 2-4 week timeline. When left with nothing, I reached out to customer service who "resent me a new gift card" that should have come in 28 days. A gift card never arrived, and I had no way to track it. So I reached out again 5 weeks later to which I was told the same exact thing. Finally it was escalated up to a supervisor, and they sent me a store credit to the wrong address despite me correcting the address with two customer service representatives. I was able to get the store credit, and I attempted to use it in store to find out it had zero balance on it. It was embarrassing as I was excited to finally use my Christmas present, but ended up owing more money than I wanted to spend. At this point, I have been calling/messaging ****** for over 3 months because I want my $75 back. This time I have finally spoken with a representative via telephone and am hoping that 4th time is the charm? I didn't know it would be this hard to return a singular pair of shoes and get my gift card back.
