Progressive added a random person to my policy the charged me 200 - 300 a month for it. They said they have they right to add anybody to my policy with my adress listed on their drivers license. I dont even know the person they added. How is that legal that they can do that with out my consent?

They sent me a letter indicating that an individual needed to be added to my policy. That i had someone older than 18 thats moved in my house? (I live alone) And they must be added to the policy!Of course, all of this is bull sh!t!! No one moved into my house or uses my truck. I felt like I was being accused of something I did not do. And/or being tested??? I will be changing from Progressive as soon as my contract is void!

I was in an accident with their insured. The service was so horrible. I had never been an accident before so I had no idea. what to expect I tried talking with the adjuster so she didn’t tell me that the money that they were compensating me at first was my final claim and that they were only covering the day I got into the accident and the day after set aside for Pip Insurance, so now I’m stuck with having to pay out-of-pocket for my own bills, inquired after the date of the accident which doesn’t make any sense. It’s a total rip off. I just think that they should explain more in detailed of how much timeframe you have or cover for at least up to 60 days I’ve been off work for the last three weeks so I will not be paid for that through them which is really sad I’m a single mother and they just don’t give a damn because I accepted $1000 compensation. I cannot go to one attorney.

DO NOT USE PROGRESSIVE EVER- very inaccurate data tracking. They entered the wrong VIN # on my policy. We notified them of the change and now have their underwriting departement trying to retrace and ammend details against the policy owner and drivers listed. ....... DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY WITH THEIR VERY UNEDUCATED STAFF

      Horrible, unfriendly Experience!
This was my first time dealing with Progressive Ins, & it’s been extremely negative. My wife was rear-ended in a no-fault accident, & though Progressive accepted liability, the claims process was so frustrating I had to hire a lawyer.
My assigned adjuster, ******* ******* was difficult—argumentative, unhelpful, & inflexible. It took two weeks just to reach her. She’d call at random times, leave a voicemail, & expect me to be available in her limited window. If I missed her call, the cycle repeated, making communication nearly impossible unless I rearranged my schedule. She refused to accommodate my availability, always claiming to be on other calls. Eventually, after much persistence, she reluctantly worked with my schedule.
******* was impatient, dismissive, & avoided straightforward answers. I wanted to settle quickly and fairly, but she offered a low settlement & seemed frustrated by any questions. I had to hire an attorney, who I’m sure will secure a better outcome. I also filed a complaint with her manager, Alex.
Things didn’t improve with the property damage claim. ******* ********* was also unhelpful and argumentative. The settlement summary included unfair deductions, like a “ripped” carpet (actually a manufacturer’s access point) & bumper damage from the accident. After I pointed these out, the deductions were reversed, but there was no apology.
The vehicle comparables used were outdated or inaccurate, & when I provided better examples, they were dismissed for dubious reasons. When I escalated to *******’s manager, ****** ******, he was just as unhelpful and dismissive. Pressed for time and needing a replacement vehicle, I had no choice but to accept their offer.
Based on my experience, I would never recommend Progressive. Their customer service is terrible, their employees unprofessional, & their claims process is designed to frustrate and shortchange customers. Their advertising does not reflect reality.

After switching to another insurance company, progressive sent my account for collections and never communicated that i have a balance due. Few months after talking to collection agency caine and weiner, i spoke to progressive and caine and weiner and was directed to send the prove of insurance from another agency for those dates. I sent the documents to both and it was told that it will be taken care of. After two years my account was reported to credit bureau. Called progressive and they say the remaining balance was communicated but it was a mistake from their part that it was sent to my other email address which was the old email id which I already updated to new with progressive. Even the communication was happening on my new email id. Called again to progressive and they said it was sent to my old email, and I don't see any email regarding the payment. Progressive only says sorry and my credit history was effected. They are not following the proper consumer reporting laws.

I’ve been a customer with Progressive, and I’m genuinely disappointed with my recent experience. When I initially set up my policy, the agent entered the wrong VIN — an error on their end — and now I’m being penalized and asked to pay more for a mistake I didn’t make.
To make matters worse, I spoke with a supervisor named Sam who, instead of taking accountability or offering meaningful help, decided to speak to me in a condescending tone. He repeatedly put words in my mouth, dismissed valid concerns, and came across more interested in being right than being helpful. It felt like I was being lectured rather than assisted.
I expected a higher standard of professionalism from a company like Progressive. Mistakes happen, but how they’re handled matters — and this experience left me questioning how much they truly value their customers.

my granddaughter has her own car. her car is covered on our insurance.
she is an adult and a legal licensed driver.
she was in a wreck, police report was done, and noone received a ticket.
progressive is refusing to pay for the wreck because they said her name was not on the policy. this is not right. as long as the car is covered and she is a legal licensed driver it should be covered. what have we been paying for each month?

I've been off & on w/ them for yrs. I made a claim after bad storms. Even though I had full coverage they did NOT fix the whole car claiming it wasn't pictured by the agent which is on their end not mine & never once did they try to correct the mistake! So not only did they not fix the whole vehicle they left damage unfixed even though I carried full coverage under their ridiculous rates but listed me as at fault on my claim when the accident was nature/weather related but had I hit a deer I wouldn't have been at fault?! I mean make it make sense I carried full coverage fix the whole car! So I'm currently driving a car still damaged unfixed & paid jacked up rates before & after claim! I switched to another insurance company who met every need! I should've just sued & put them out of business permanently! They should have to have proof of fully fixed claims & their agents should've taken pics of everything! Thanks a lot Progressive now I know why you don't have many customers insuring their vehicles through your company! I also have pictures of the unfixed damage if proof is needed to show their screw up! Not only that my rates kept steadily going up NOT down as they advertise! They should be sued for false advertisement as well!
