God, if I could give them zero stars I would. Where to start…
I’m an Uber driver. 100,000 miles a year. The only claim was a sunroof, caused by someone throwing a rock at me on the highway. They screwed me over on the claim, then raised my rates to 3x what other companies charge. Today they cancelled my policy and then billed me for $600.
What an absolute shit company. Don’t do business with them. Seriously… avoid at any cost.

Progressive is scamming their customers by offering an esign discount and them on your first renewal they REMOVE the discount and JACK the rate up $75 a month!!
I earned a $150 per month discount using Snapshot and Progressive said "NOPE" we're not going to give it to you.

Progressive auto insurance is great, really easy and pleasant experience filing a claim.
Renters insurance however is a huge disappointment. File a claim with them was a nightmare. The house I rent got flooded from some pipes that burst from freezing weather.
I did not claim anything damaged from the flood however the company that handled the damages moved my belongings out of the house for repairs. When all said and done I discovered a lot of my belongings were either missing or had been damaged from the movers. They were so rude to me , they refused to cover anything damaged and only paid on some of the stolen good but only those w little value. They refused to pay higher value items because I couldn’t provide a receipt only a picture. What they paid out was not even enough to cover one of these items. They Deff do not have your back. What if it was worst and I couldn’t come up with receipts for everything I own, what then?

About six weeks ago, I contacted Progressive about removing a 2015 Kia Sorento from my policy, as the engine had seized up and the vehicle was no longer operable. Yesterday, 6/12/2025, I received correspondence that my coverage for my 2019 Buick Enclave would be cancelled on 6/20/2025 because I had neglected to send some information that Progressive's customer service rep verified they already had. Three weeks ago, on 05/24/2025, I transferred the insurance on the Kia to the Buick. Everything went over without a hitch.
      THAT DAY.
So, I log into my Progressive account, only to find out that not only were they planning on cancelling my coverage on 06/20, they were also going to bill me $1,036.00 a month beginning 07/02/2025 to 10/02/2025. I called Progressive. At first they said it was the information they ALREADY HAD. Then they said it was because I removed the Kia from my policy. Then they said it was because my wife, who has NEVER driven or had a license, wasn't listed as a driver on my policy. They made an adjustment. I was no longer going to have to pay the thousand-plus dollars, but my monthly premium would increase from $124.86 to $261.42 because "the underwriters must have everyone in the household -- driver or not -- listed on the policy."
      Let's make an adjustment
And they DID. However, my premium is now $169.28 per month. Better than $261, but still higher than the $124 I was paying for the same coverage just THIS month. I was expecting to have to pay a few extra dollars because the Buick is a newer vehicle. My premium on the Kia was $84.46 per month, but when I got the Buick, my monthly premium was set at $124. I was on the phone for more than an hour trying to get this resolved. I did get it resolved, but I'm STILL not satisfied with Progressive, as this is NOT the first time I've had issues with them. I'm going to be looking for another insurance company.

I gave 1 star because I had to I been waiting on progressive to pay my claim for 8 solid months I have left over 20 messages and never received a call back until today I received 2 one to tell me yes theyll pay the damages and to find a auto repair shop then the 2nd call said no they won't be fixing it because they didn't read the notes of the claim and the driver they insure that hit me had low coverage and they paid out everything
to the other car he had hit .this is the worst mismanaged company I've ever dealt with .i actually used them about 10 years ago and when I was rear ended in a 5 car pile up it was an act of God to get my vehicle fixed they are trash trash trash

If I could give a negative star I would. I request road side assistance cause I broke down 5 minutes from my apartment at almost 11pm at night coming from work. I requested road side assistance from profit the towing company they assign gave me an eta of 1-2hrs. I called at 1:21am as a females tired and stranded on the road at night and explained which the person gave me an attitude an only to be told on the third call only one person working and my new eta is 89mins and I explained that I was 5 mins from my house and I am tired as well as wanted to use the rest room. The person told me if I want to cancelled and request a different towing. I was upset so I hanged up google towing company requested one. Got a ride home to clean up and head back only to see my car was towed. I had to call around to locate my car and I was told it was towed by the police department. Got there in the morning they charge me 525 I explained the situation the person informed me to submit my reimbursement claimed did that and after almost a month had to call since no follow up only for them to give me partial payment. Since then I have spoken to 15 diffferent representatives from progressive and agero and still have not gotten no where. Like how can y’all treat y’all customers like this

This company is the worse. . Agent, ***** ******* -and her boss **** ********  are the worse insurance agents ever. Slow as molasses and take forever to call back. TO this day, **** has not returned my calls. I was involved in a car accident with a customer of theirs. I was in my lane when out of nowhere the young lady decided to move out of her stopped lane and into my moving lane. At that point I ended up hitting her right rear/side car. I filed with their insurance. They said I was at fault 30% and that's what I had to pay for my repairs. How is it my fault, I had to pay out of my own money. The sales rep had the nerve that I should have been prepared for the incident. Like if I knew she was going to move into my lane.

I got hit by one of their customers in April 2nd. Here it is June 10th I have yet to receive any assistance. Mind you I lost my brother in May and my Mom been in and out of the hospital because of it. I didn’t have the energy to chase them and I’m sure they was fine with that.

I have had progressive insurance for years and I am a platinum member. Never had an issue with them until recently when I tried to do a glass claim. So thinking that I had glass protection I tried to file a claim earlier this month. Turns out that at some point it had been removed from my policy. Okay fine so I called to have it re-added by chatting with a representative who informed me that she could re-add it and I could file a claim anytime after May 19th. Which was fine as my windshield only had a small crack in it. While traveling to an appointment on May 28th a truck threw a rock at my windshield and made a big crack all the way across it. So I filed a glass claim. Got a call today from **** a progressive claims representative who asked me questions which I answered all honestly. I told him that yes I had a small crack previously and tried to file a claim but in this separate incident that the crack stretched all the way across my windshield. This is when the **** just started getting hostile and yelling at me while stating facts to which I agreed to. I asked him to quit yelling at me to which he replied he wasn't and continued to yell. I hung up on him, he called me back and I answered the phone by asking him if he was done yelling at me. He again said he wasn't yelling, and started in again. By this time I was fed up and interrupted him and said if you guys are not going to cover it that that was fine just say it, we dont need to repeat the same facts over and over again when I wasn't denying anything he said so there was nothing to yell about. I ended the conversation by telling him that I would be finding a different insurance company (not due to the claim denial but due to the way he treated me) and told him not to yell at anyone else else today. His English was not great so he must have been in another country but that is no excuse. I will be finding another insurance company come July 3rd when my insurance is due.

They sent a letter stating that they would add my niece to my car policy if I did not respond to the letter. By the time I saw the letter, she had already been added, and they had only sent the letter two weeks ago. I didn't open the mail right away because I thought they were sending a second copy of my insurance cards, which I had already printed. My niece does not even live in the same state as I, nor does she even have a license. They made me jump through hoops to get her removed, and thankfully, I caught it before they charged me over $1,400 since I have automatic payments turned on. I was originally quoted $408 per month. so that is a very big jump for someone who is not my child, does not live with me, does not live in the same state, nor does she even have a license to drive! I would never recommend this company to anyone.
