(H363137**3238313831H transcribed via Ohio Attorney General) Erie Home Basement Solutions inspected his basement for repair and quoted a price. They explained that they were extremely busy and needed a $10,000 deposit. They promised additional repairs at first and when the inspector arrived, he denied the ability of the additional request. I have requested a refund of my deposit and after agreeing to return it within 10 days, I**;ve been ignored and/or given the "run around"Business Response

Date June 9, 2025 1:00pm - 6:00pm ****** **** - Sales Agent/Roof Inspector - Erie Home Our appointment for a roofing quote was June 9, 2025 by ****** ****, Erie Home. ****** ****, promised a quote to be e-mailed. This was a very high pressure sale with emphasis on financing at a high interest rate. After several attempts to explain that we would not need financing it became more about obtaining the financing. The quote was for an undisclosed finance rate with $1900/mo payments for 180 months. We have not received the quote to date. When I called the home office, Erie Home (****), is requiring another appointment to come out for a quote. The job began but is not completed with the promised quote.Business Response

Hired Erie Homes for water proofing my basement after a flood. I was told they would start in approx 30 days. 60 days later they Came and started the job. Cut the paneling on the west wall haphazardly. Did not connect the pump to power which caused the pump to beep constantly, Did not run the drainage along the south wall through the bathroom where the leak was prominent. After multiple calls and complaints a guy came out and straightened the paneling but did not place moisture barrier on the west wall. I showed the guy where the water was still coming through the wall in the bathroom. Made me sign the completion paperwork and stated he would be back in 2 weeks to finish the job under warranty. Today was 2 weeks. I called the guy who stated he would be back in 2 weeks and he stated Ill be out there next week. I have been more that patient with is company. I cannot clean or replace my furniture in my basement until the job is done. The flood happened 4/1/25. It is now June 12th.Business Response

Had a completely new roof installed by Eire Home Roofing & one section immediaely leaked badly for several months we askedn them to at least tarp the area but they did not respond. We had another company finally cover the damaged roofing with a trap at a cost opf $500. The tarp was finally removed 6 months later when Eire Home Roofing decided to finally replace the damaged area. By then the inside *************** had been damaged severly by the constant water leaking. Unfortunately it will require new drywall, ***************** remediation. The estimated cost for repairs are $12,000. We have been ************ many times with the company representatives, company ***************** warranty group to no avail. They have completely ignored us. If fact when we sent videos of the water pouring in the ******* laughed at my wife's concenrs. We have not been able to use the room since the leaks began last year just after they finished the work. Finally in May 2025 they sent out workmen to strip off their new roof section & replace the leaking roof, however, they left the debris in the room & all the damaged roofing they tore off was just left on our lawn to dispose of. We are in our 70's so had to hire someone to dispose of all the debris, but the room is still covered in **************Business Response

On 01/08/25 to the 9th, the roofing crew from Erie Homes finished the installation of the new roof I requested. During the installation, we had cold temperatures into the low 20s and high teens overnight and days. The roofers during the install cut open the roof decking leaving it open without a tarp or covering overnight causing the hot water pipes to freeze and bust open. Later melting caused water to flood out my roof and carport to the amount of 10k worth of damages. They also put holes throughout my gutters from throwing items off the roof in addition to damaging siding and trim during the install of new flashing. Even using the wrong color metal flashing in some spots rather than what was ordered. After working with the manager on these issues, Erie repaired the gutter damage and replaced some of the broken trim siding. We agreed that I was to be paid in reimbursement checks for the cleanup and repair from the water damage. After handing over the paperwork and receipts, which I was not told I needed until after the agreement had been made, I have not received any communication with ****. I cannot get in touch with the project manager besides through extreme means. Nor can I still get in touch with single office manager. Whenever I call, I am told they are busy and will call me back, with no other contact info given. No reimbursement checks or communication about payment has been issued as of May 25th 2025. After spending over 35 thousand for the roof from a national company, I expected there to be a high level of service and common respect to costumers.Business Response

I purchased 8 windows and had them installed in 2016. The window cost a total of $10,889.00. They are all broken. There is a lifetime warranty. I have been reaching out to the company for a year. They sent someone out in February to evaluate the windows. I was told on March 6 that my windows are in, and a date for the beginning of May could be scheduled for installation. I have reached out multiple times regarding the appointment date and time as I need to take off work, and I am getting no response. This process has been extremely frustrating.Business Response

I hired Eriehomes solutions to water proof my basement. I paid ********* dollars to have it fixed . The basement was not fixed around my steps and started leaking . I contacted Erie Home solutions to fix the problem, which is under warranty, they sent a kid that busted the concrete and made a ditch in the concrete and a drain. I can not put a floor over that. They unplugged my freezer and ruined $477.00 worth of food. They said they would reimburse me for that but have not . They broke my shelfs and through away my sup pump door . I need my basement fixedBusiness Response

I am rejecting this response because: I was told by erie home in order to officially cancel we, my husband and I, need to sign a cancelation form required by erie home. We have not been contacted to do so and would like that provided either digitally or in-person.

A signed cancellation form is not required if the customer has already spoken with the Sales Manager to cancel the order. In this case, the customer has since spoken with the Sales Manager, and it is understood that the order has been cancelled.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: I have not spoken to anyone so that is incorrect. I have sent 3 emails, with no response and called twice, the only person I've spoken to was an assistant who told me, I needed to sign said form. If I could receive email confirmation of my cancelation for my records, stating a cancelation form isn't required than I will be happy with that.
Sincerely,

I purchased a new roof. They added some features that would reduce future problems and touted the national business and how it may benefit me as I have rental property in another state. They included in their job more vents and a fan that would resolve moisture and heat problems in the attic. They also added a type of gutter guard. This was a small job, as the house is only 900 square feet so the gutters are only on the front and back of the house. The front is working as it should; however, during a recent downpour the water was flowing off as if their was no gutter, in an absolute waterfall. Since I have gutter guard on my own home I knew this was a problem. I called for service and they said they would get CALL ME BACK IN 24-48 HOURS. Didn't happen. I called back and the receptionist stated the eves wasn't covered. I asked how that could be since they installed it. She again said I would be contacted in the same time frame,- didn't happen. In short, this has been one of the worst customer service I have ever experienced, I only want it fixed. I just called again and they cut me off. The installer was Erie home, Granite Circle, Toledo, OhioBusiness Response

I bought an Erie metal roof in 2018. We live in a wooded area and have always had **** being an issue since 1985. Sales *** told me the zinc in the metal shingles would deter and **** growth. In late April of 2024 I noticed a leak in an upstairs bedroom It was quite difficult to find Anyone from **** to talk to. I ended up staking out the ****** location( doors were all locked and no one visible from the entrance windows on 3 different trips). I caught a young man arriving who was going in the back door and I stopped him to explain my problem with the leak and showed him pics. He did get a repair guy to come out and they were very nice and appeared to fix the problem. Fast forward one year and I have a leak in the same spot. *********** did get a repair person in ****** to call me and he came out today. Heard there is too much **** growing in the area it is leaking so he cannot fix it. I have wet drywall and mold starting to form in that bedroom ceiling now. He said he will"escalate" the issue to a higher source to see what can be done but it will take a while-.as the roof continues to leak into my bedroom. I'm not faulting him. I have tried multiple times to get someone from **** to help me with a solution to remove this ****. My wife and I both have cancer so using a toxic chemical that we might I have is not an option. If we use anything that MIGHT change the appearance of the roof, Erie will void the warranty. I am willing to sign a disclaimer or hold harmless if this company would help with a viable solution. I have a $55 ,000 roof that is essentially worse than a cheap fiberglass shingles roof. At least with that option, we could tear it off and put on a new one if needed. I do NOT want a public apology. I want a solution to keep a 50 year guaranteed roof from leaking into my house less than 7 years after it was installed.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: The technician did come out to look at the roof but never went up to see it closely. He said he would order 2 squares the matching aluminum shingles and put these new ones on to replace the area where it is leaking into my house. He also said he would set ****** of his crew to come out and get the repair done. It has now been 4 more weeks of a leaking roof with no repair. I called him 2 weeks ago today and he said they had been busy but they would get to it. No time frame given. Apparently selling new jobs is more important than fixing existing roofs? I'm not sure what Erie's lifetime guarantee is worth? This is NOT satisfactory. Apparently they want to fund me having to put new drywall in a bedroom as well since mold is forming??
Sincerely,
******* *******Business Response
