On 6/3/21, I gave Erie Construction my verbal consent and $9000 to complete 5 projects for me--new roof, removal of old attic insulation, installation of new insulation, treatment of attic mold and repair of porch ceiling. I also signed a loan for $10, 987. The salesman, ******* *****, verbally agreed that Erie could do all of those projects. He did not fill out the specification sheet while here as I was late for work. Instead he said he would return with the forms in a few days for me to sign. He never returned, I never saw the forms nor signed them. The new roof was completed on 7/13/21, and I signed satisfaction papers that day because the roof appeared as I expected. They did not complete any of the other work. When I contacted **** ********** the project manager, he said the specification sheet only mentioned the roof not any of the other work I wanted. Thinking it was my mistake somehow, I acquiesed. In Dec. 2021, I hired another contractor to complete the attic work. After that contractor found continued mold, I again (Jan 2022) contacted **** **, saying Erie had promised the mold would go away after the new ridge vent was installed. In the process of our emails, I asked for the specification sheet he continually referred to. He was kind enough to email it to me. At that point, I realized that not only had I never seen these 2 papers but the signature on them was not mine. Someone else with Erie had signed my name to specification sheets that had only the roof work on them. At that point, I began looking for a lawyer to represent me. The lawyer suggested I would need to have the signature verified as false. I hired a professional handwriting consultant and received the report late June 2022. The report states unequivocally that the signature on the Erie forms is NOT mine. I am now considering a lawsuit. I want the entire $19, 987 back, as I would never have agreed to or signed the specification sheet had I seen it did not cover all the work I wanted done.

Erie Home apologizes for any confusion this may have caused. The contract is signed by the customer. Attached are pictures of the customer drivers license, the contract and spec sheet which show the work to be done. The signatures on all three do match. We have spoke to the customers attorney and was advised that the case was dropped as the signatures did in fact match. Erie Home does not do any mold remediation and we do not accept any verbal agreements as stated on the signed contract.

I am rejecting this response because: 1) my lawyer did NOT close the case with you so that is a lie; 2) I have expert opinion that the signature is, indeed, a forgery; 3) I have referred Erie's reply to my lawyer for further action.

      Sincerely,

I purchased a new fiberglass roof system from Erie Construction. I was told the back section of my roof was flat and needed a special roof material I was told and in the specifications sheet it was to be brown. On further inspection after it was done. It is black. I have reached out numerous they said they would fix it but haven’t heard anything and nothing has been done

Company put a new roof on my residence on February 10, 2022 in a little over 12 hours in Central NY during a snow storm. My husband & I were financed for a loan through Medallion Bank for approximately $19,000.
Our complaint is that after completing the roof, we signed the completion notice, but the roof was covered in snow and we were unable to see the completed product. Therefore, after the winter thaw, we noticed buckling of shingles, water leaking in places there was no previous problem, tears/rips in several of our window screens and a ton of debris, nails and garbage left on our property. When we spoke with the company the following day, they assured us they would send a crew in the Spring to complete the clean up of our property due to having 2 small children. ****, contact from Erie Roofing, stated they would contact us to schedule this appointment. This call never came from them, I ended up calling to schedule & voice our concerns. **** referred me to another person, *******, and 3 appointments were scheduled with him; 2 of which were No Call No Shows. Since the initial 3 appointments, we have spoken with 2-3 other people, had 3 other appointments rescheduled and no further contact from the company, even when messages were left and/or spoke with other people. We have now made 3 payments on our roof ($199.72) and the company has yet to come and even see/inspect our concerns.

Erie Home apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused. Erie Home has already been out and repaired the roof and will be scheduling a time to drop off the fixed screens and do an inspection.

I am rejecting this response because: they came and fixed my screens, that they damaged, and replaced the flashing on my back porch roof. However, due to the old flashing being pounded back in place, when the roof was originally replaced (February 2022), there was water damage to the underlying plywood and beams of my porch. There are also shingles that are buckling on the bottom edge of the same porch roof. None of these were corrected and I was asked to sign off that I was satisfied with the "repairs" they did. I'm not because we replaced our roof as a precaution!! There was absolutely NO leaking happening on any part of my roof, porches, etcetera until Erie removed my previous roof and replaced it. I just want the job done, correctly, that I'm paying for. This is a $23,000 roof and it was not done correctly.

      Sincerely,

      ******* **********
