- Met with salespeople ***** ******* & ******* ******* from Erie Home to reroof my home on 4/15/25. I gave a 10k deposit.
- On 4/16/25, I received a telephone call from ****** ********, Installation Manager, to inform me that they would be able to come out on 4/19/25 to complete the job in 1 day.
- On 4/19/25 I made multiple phone calls and text messages detailing the damage done to my property (over 10k), which needed to be addressed. The job was not completed in 1 day as promised, maybe half was done. I contacted ******* the salesman, who in turn contacted ****** *********** Office administrator. I was again assured that they would make everything right. There was no communication as to when they would return to complete the job.
- On 4/20/25 at 8:40 pm I called ****** ********, Installation manager, to find out if they were coming to complete the job the next day or when? There was no answer, so I left a message. I never received a return phone call.
- On 4/21/25 the roofers returned and completed the roof. In the meantime that morning the Coweta County Assessor’s office happened to show up to inspect the pool and fence I had installed last year. The inspector looked up at the roof and said I see you have a new roof here. Then he is on his tablet and proceeds to tell me that there was no building permit pulled. I said what? You’ve got to be kidding me. I went right over and told *****, from Erie Home.
- I have made many attempts to contact Erie Home and resolve all the issues. To this day, 4/30/25, they have yet to provide a building permit and any resolution to all of the damage they caused at my house.Business Response

Company is a total scam. Quoted me at $40,358 for patching leaks & replacing the shingles, yet parts barely came to $10,000 & that’s when I included replacing all ocb boards (they weren’t gonna replace them all), using the more pricier underlay, & including all the tools I would need meaning their labor cost would be over $30,358. I was told I needed to pay $100 to lock in the price upon signing the contract while waiting on a loan approval for financing, being told that $100 would be refunded upon cancellation of the contract. The contract stated I had 3 business days prior to midnight on the 3rd day after the date the contract was signed to cancel the contract. I cancelled on the 3rd business day then received a call being told they already ordered the material during the allotted cancellation period & that I would have to pay a restocking fee. I reached out to the main office where they tried saying it’s out of their control, but after awhile of talking to them on the phone they changed their tune & said I would be refunded my $100 in 3 weeks (though the contract says 10 days after cancellation) which I’ll believe when it happens which is highly unlikely especially after receiving an email from 1 of the places Erie Home applied for a loan under the name Erie construction for me to finance the roof & they tried pulling a fast 1 & applied for $100,000 instead of $40,358 knowing the money would have been paid directly to them where all they had to do was tweak the numbers so I wouldn’t know how much they actually received all the while I would be paying on a $100,000 loan thinking all they got that I’d be paying on would be the $40,358. I even have audio recordings because when I don’t trust a company you better believe I’m recording our phone calls. If they don’t wanna refund my $100 then I’ll have no choice but to get my credit union involved & Erie Home can take it up with them as to why they wanna be in breach of contract & wanna keep my moneyBusiness Response

I had a new roof installed by **** in December 2024, I signed a contract electronically for the work to be done. The roofers came out and installed the new roof, the job was completed 12/5/2024, when I signed the completion certificate I asked about the warranty, contract and rebate check and was told I would receive them in the mail by the end of the month. To make a long story short I have not received any of these from Erie, I have made several attempts to receive these items, I contacted the representative that I originally spoke with and signed the contract with several times and have sent him an email notifying him of my situation, he assured me someone would take care of the issue and so far nothing has been done. I financed $42,000.00 dollars to have this work done, and have made all my payments, and fulfilled my part of the contract, I would appreciate it if **** would do the same. I hope you can help me as I have gotten no response from this company.Business Response

Erie Home replaced our roof and gutters this past March. In the replacement process, there were items that were damaged. A bronze Flying Eagle with moving wings had a wing broken off and it is beyond repair. We also paid to have it installed. Six hose guards were also broken.**** from Erie Home ************** sat down with us and went over the damaged items and agreed on $800.00. This was on March 27th and said that we would be receiving a check in a week to 10 days. He answered a couple of texts and stated that he had contacted the accounting department for reimbursement. Now hes not answering our texts or returning our calls. Thanks! *********** ******Business Response

On 4/5/2025 I had Erie Construction Midwest over to give me a roof estimate. I initially agreed while the rep was visiting me in home. However the next day I called the rep back to cancel and I was assured that my project would be cancelled and any deposits would be refunded.
It has been two weeks since then and I havn’t received my refund and when I call the Erie offices people don’t answer the phones. When I text with the local office administrator ******** he plays dumb like he doesn’t know what I’m talking about.
No work has been completed, and I do not wish to move forward.Business Response

On 3-3-25 we started an our basement waterproofing project with Erie Home and paid ********* dollars plus an additional ***** dollars for beam installation. On 3-3 they started work for this project telling us it would be about a three day process on 36. They hit one of our water pipes in the house and told us that one of the rooms in the basement would need beamsupport so they were unable to move forward with the job. We paid the additional $6200 to have the beams put in from 36 to 2. We were unable to get in contact with anybody in the company to see when the job would be completed we were left with a huge hole in our floor for over a month where they hadhit our pipe on 42 a man came to fix the hole, but did not finish. The job initially started on 418 again after weeks no contact with the company they came to fix the rest of the job but to find out that they improperly installed the drainage pipes on the floor after being told that yes it was hooked up properly they have left my house with huge holes in my floor and no beams supporting my wall and I still do not have a finish date on when they are going to complete my project. And now I am worried about the integrity of the rest of the project.Business Response

I had Erie Basement Solutions install a moisture barrier and a sump pump with French drain. It was very poorly install the tape was hanging off the walls and you could tell that areas of the foundation were busted out with being properly patched over.. they were suppost to drill weep holes to divert water out of the walls to the corrugated pipe that leads to a sump pump but I never seen holes drill just the bust foundation bricks, they drill random holes in the moisture barrier and just left the holes there, they have had to come out multiple times and work on it instead of putting the time in and fixing it . NOW THE MOISTURE BARRIER IS LEAKING and who ever I talked to I think his name was **** just told me he's busy driving and he was short and rude, more or less just said there's not much more he knows what to do he can try to consult with someone to get it fix although they guaranteed me it would be 100% water proof... took my 30k left me with a system that doesn't work properly...Business Response

On February 17th we had **** ****** over from Erie Home basement solutions. We were pressured into signing a contract for a waterproofing job by them. We foolishly signed a contract in which my credit card was charged $2,395. After he had left we had realized that maybe we had made a mistake. After reading a few things we knew had. I called **** the next morning and asked that he please cancel our contract as is permissable with the NY State cooling off rule and he said he'd take care of it. A week later the charge was still there. He would not answer his phone so I disputed it with *********** and the charge was removed and I thought it was done and over with. Yesterday I looked at my *********** balance and it seemed way to high and saw that the charge had reappeared. He is not answering my phone calls and emails are not going through. We can not afford to just let over 2k just go. At this time the document we signed through ******** is expired and I can't access it anymore. Please help us resolve this. Thank you for your time.Business Response

The original charge to the customer's card was processed on February 17. After the job was cancelled, we issued a refund, which was successfully processed on February 21.
Subsequently, the customer disputed the original charge with their bank, and the amount was withdrawn from our account. We contested the chargeback, providing documentation that the refund had already been issued on February 21.
The bank reviewed the case and confirmed that the refund had been processed, and therefore reversed the chargeback in our favor.
As a result, the customer should see two charges on their account, along with two corresponding refunds. Attached is all the documentation of the process.
