We hired Patio Enclosure to install 8 large glass slider doors with 4 screens. We paid close to $20,000,00 for this job. We are now going into our second year with continued damaged glass, scratches, fogginess in between the glass. From day one of install there have been an issue with all glass panels. Patio enlcoure reconised the defected glass each time they came out to inspect. They tell us they will order new class doors, we wait another 2 months to have new glass dooors installed. They bring the new doors only to find the same issues. We have had them out about 6 or 7 times with confirmation by them that the doors are still scratched have a glaze on them and are foggy. The sreens alone kept fallen off and are of all different material and shades. Within almost 2 years the job still hasn't been corrected and the last attempt with new doors again still have the same issues. I have cleaned and cleaned theses doors multiply times and you can still see all the inperfections. We paid for these doors in full and now we are told by a supervisor that these imperfections are minor and are within industries standards and they refused to complete the job.. I demanded a full refund with no success. There is a lifetime warrnety on these doors. Let me make this clear this all happened on day one of install with many attempts by them to fix the problem. This company must have come out for repair 6 or 7 times up to 2 years. Each time they brought new glass the enstallors and the manager saw all the imperfections. Now we get no call backs, no respect, and was told to deal with it and they have our money. I'm not spending close to $20,000.00 to just deal with it. The best time to see all these imperfections is early in the morning when the sunlight hits the glass. We have countless of emails and text messages going back and forth.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. However what are they going to do if they do not resolve our concerns?  What type of compensation will we be receiving?

The issues stated have been going on from day one of install and we feel we should be compensated as they have received payment in full.  We are in hopes that this matter can be fixed once in for all.

      *******

According to our records everything has been resolved and your room is complete. If any new issues have developed please reach out to Robin for assistance. Here is the last correspondence that we had with you:

      ****** * ******

We have been out there multiple times to replace glass that was originally
installed. We have been out there at least three times now to replace glass
that you have been unhappy with. The glass that is installed there now meets
industry standards. I have spoken with our field supervisor who has been out
there multiple times and he has confirmed with me the glass currently installed
meets those industry standards. At this point it seems like the glass is not
meeting your personal expectations and we will not be replacing any further
glass. Please keep in mind that imperfections can be found in any glass if you
look close enough, look at it in direct sunlight or at a certain angle. The
last time we serviced your room we replaced the screen in all four screen doors
with our pet screen. The pet screen is an upgraded screen that was installed at
no additional cost. Screens are not covered under the warranty so we will not
be replacing those either. You can bring the screen doors to any local hardware
shop and they can rescreen them or you can rescreen them yourself if you
choose. If you would like us to rescreen any of the screen doors there will be a
service fee. If you would like a quote I would be more than happy to help you
through that process. We also installed new handles on the all glass and screen
doors during our previous visit so we will not be replacing those either.

This room was installed per industry standards and has been completed. There
will be no compensation issued at this time. If you need assistance in the
future or would like a price to rescreen your doors please feel free to reach
      out.

I am rejecting this response because:
No the glass doesn't meet industry standards.  Glass shouldn't have ripple, scratches or bows and fogginess in the glass. One screen was replaced with pet screening not all four. the screens all had different color and thickness, one screen fell right off the track. No the knobs where never replaced, your team brought in the wrong color white when they are to be black.  Your company took our money and screwed us once paid in full.  This problem had occurred on first day of install and continued with each replacement of glass panels even your workers saw all the problems and made several calls back to your company.  Your company is a rip off. Industries standards ****  Fix the problem or I will see you in court and on the news

      We
are very sorry you feel this way. We have went above and beyond to make things
right and have remade the glass in your sunroom 8 times, totaling 32 pieces of
glass. The last two times your glass was made it was in it’s own designated
production batch. The glass was thoroughly checked inside the building and it
was also taken outside in the sunlight and inspected by the Plant and Glass
Line Managers and specially wrapped for shipping. Torn and damaged screens by
people/pets is not covered under warranty. See attachment. We will follow up
with ***** on the wrong colored knobs. Again, we have went above and beyond to
make you a happy customer and deeply regret that you feel this way.

I am rejecting this response because:
You say that damaged screens are caused by us or our dogs? No one in our home caused damage to the screens, unless I have some type of magical dogs that can change the color, shade and material.   Did you not read our response? All screens came in different material and shade of color, none of the screens match.  We had all glass panels replaced, 2 of the panels are still defected and was seen by your own workers.  Those are the only 2 panels we were told would be replaced. Those panels are what we were waiting on. The entry door is bowed and scratched the other panel has the same defects.  All the other glass panels  we have been satisfied with once they were replaced.  I am sorry we have ever conducted business with you, your company was happy to take our money but can't follow through with your commitment.

We procured ****** windows to provide a quote and services related to our back window. We had an entire back window installed in January of 2021 at the cost of $10,750, paid through Green Day Improvements, the fiduciary loan company referred by ****** Windows. On 5/4/22 a payment was made with a cashiers check/ money order in the amount of $10,750, to Green Day, window paid in full. The window constrution was outsourced to ******, installed incorrectly by ****** staff on day of installation, supervisors were present upon installation and agreed with lack of completion of product. After payment received, only a few responses noted, all indicating that the installation was not up to code, pictures were taken by employees which have subsequently "been lost". Subsequent complaints filed, lack of follow up from either ****** Windows or ****** represantatives. We will be reaching out to our attorney for further action as we have tried for almost a year to work with both providers with no success or resolution. We will also be seeking potential compensatory damages related to electric and gas expenses since failed installment. I have all contact information for previous mentioned contacts.

UNFAIR & DECEPTIVE! I originally contracted them to enclose my patio with glass/screens. Per their process, I had to seek HOA approval and unfortunately my HOA didn't give me approval. However, now Great Day Improvements is trying to charge me $800 for their 20 minute measuring session even though their salesperson assured me that I would have no fees/charges if the HOA approval did not go through! As I have tried to fight this with them, the follow up has been miserable and appears they have quite a turnover problem as 2 different people that were originally assisting me with the cancellation are no longer there. Will update if it gets corrected, but as of now I am waiting for "the boss's boss" to call me back since Wed

I ordered, paid for and had installed a custom patio enclosure. The windows I was shown and thought I ordered were not the ones installed. The windows are very low quality as they used caulk to fill in joints. The gaskets were installed improperly which makes the windows not function as designed. I have reached out to the company numerous times and cannot get a response.

      Mrs. ********,

According to our records our team has spoken with you several times in regards to your concerns about quality  of our product. It is understood that you believed you were receiving a product that included fused/welded sashes and
frames. You have mentioned that the product you were shown and ordered had these features. This in fact cannot be true has our product has never had fused/welded sashes and
frames. It is possible that you have confused our product with other. We have done our best to replace any and all units once before that you requested be replaced. At this point, we have delivered the product that your contract included. We are sorry for any confusion that you may have experienced during this process and our team is always willing to discuss all of this further and provide any and all clarity needed. Thank you again for your patience and we appreciate you.

      The Great Day Improvements Team

      Customer Answer

      Date: 10/27/2022

I am rejecting this response because: I was advised by your employee the joints were fused, which is really irrelevant. The window displayed to me had no gaps or caulking near the joints, nor did I notice any sort of issue with poorly placed gaskets.  I would not have ordered them in that case.   The calculations on your machines that cut your joints are off, hence why caulk is being used to fill the gaps. Also, whomever is approving the gasket placement needs additional training as there is a clear visible deficiency. Lastly, it is apparent there is no final quality control for outbound orders which leads us to teh BBB.
When your own employees admit these are unacceptable, why would you think I would settle for this? I paid for a product that was shown to me and that was not the quality installed. It may have been made exactly the same way but again, there were no gaps, all joints were flush, no caulking and no gaps,  unevenness or overlaps in gaskets. I was asked what I expected from the joints because they are screwed together and not fused.....and I expect to not be able to slide a piece of paper between the joints, not see light through them and not be filled with caulk.

A wind storm occurred in ***** on 7-6-22 causing the patio screen doors to collapse and come out of its track severely damaged. We contacted Great Day Improvements on 7-8-22 and they removed the two damaged doors. At that time, the person who collected the screen doors said that we were not covered for wind damage to the screen doors and that the screens were ordinary screens and not pet screens. Two major issues are of concern and they are that we were assured by Mr. **** ******* that we were covered for damage regardless of the circumstances. Wind and trees were our major concern and he assured us that the screen panels were guaranteed. We also paid for what should have been pet screens for all of the screen panels (a total of 14 panels wherein one of the panels also contained a large pet door). Over the past 3 months+, we have called and visited the showroom more than 10 times to try and find out when the screen doors would be replaced. We also have documentation of the agreed upon details of the purchase of the completed screen rooms. All bills were paid in full. We have tried to contact the general manager for Great Day Improvements but have not received any return calls. We are disappointed in the service and quality of the materials that were used in our screen room. We are requesting replacement of all of the screen panels with pet screen material and we are further requesting that the screen doors that have been missing for over 3 months be replaced at no charge including the replacement of the large pet door for our dog. If we do not get a replacement of the screen panels, we would request a refund in the amount of $25,000 to cover the cost of replacement with another company such as Champion Window and Sunrooms. If the amount is less, we will return the difference back to Patio Enclosures. If amount to replace is greater, we will pay the difference out of pocket.

      Business Response

      Date: 10/10/2022

      Mrs. ******,

      We have reordered the
damaged screen units for your home.  There is nothing noted in your signed contract regarding pet screen.  It should also be noted that pet screen would not
have made a difference in the damage from the wind storm as the screen frames
are what was impacted; pet screen does not add any reinforcement to the screen
frames, it is just a thicker fiberglass screen rather than aluminum.  It
appears that there was in fact some miscommunication on our end in ordering the material.  The order was
placed on 9/30 and we expect to receive the new units on 10/19.
There is no lifetime warranty on damaged screens.  This is clearly noted
on our warranty. The labor and material to replace these storm
damaged units is billable.  However, to make up for the delay in placing the order we will waive the charges in
this instance and replace the screens at our cost.  We will not agree to
replace the entire room as we have installed the project in conformance with
      the signed contract. Thank you.

I am rejecting this response because:
It is a matter of trust in your company representatives that I am wanting more assistance with the replacement and to make right the fact that pet screens were not part of the original installation.  Your representative Mr. **** ******* was seemingly genuine when we agreed to have Patio Enclosures/Great Day Improvement installl our screen room and pet yard.  While I am pleased that Great Day Improvements is willing to waive the cost of the replacement screens and labor, I would like two conditions met: 1. Patio Enclosures installs the replacement screen doors damaged in the storm made with pet screens and one with the original or equivalent pet door and 2.  we will be provided with sufficient pet screen and materials to replace two other sliding doors with pet screen.  The additional non damaged door screeens will be done by the homeowners.  If you agree to this, we will close the case with BBB of ****.

      Business Response

      Mrs. ******,

As explained by our representative who reached out to you to explain the warranty limitations, no pet screen
is noted anywhere on her contract which is why regular screen is what you were charged for and what was installed. Any and all services for your products will be replaced by the same product installed unless you would like to pay the cost to upgrade to pet screens. Thank you

We are filing this complaint after nearly 15 months (next week) of waiting for completion of our sunroom by Patio Enclosures, ****** ** (**). We signed a contract for a 12x10 AllView Elite Sunroom on July 14, 2021. We were told that work would begin 10-12 weeks from contract and would take “a few days” to complete. The total contract price was ~$54,0000. Please see attached detailed timeline and photos of remaining work to be completed. I have voicemails, texts and emails for all of the detailed events. Communications regarding approvals, plans and permits began with the Operations Administrator (there have been three OA’s since project began) for PE on 7/27/21. CAD drawings received in October and PE submitted for permits. January 2022, we learned that they had not applied for a roofing license and all permits/licenses were pending. February 28, 2022 we were informed permits were approved and install scheduled for 3/7/22. Work on deck/pier holes began 3/9/22 with subsequent off and on work on deck, room install in March. April, informed that triangular glass pieces were not ordered and that there were many errors made in installation during March. In April, Field Supervisor agreed that “fixes” needed to be done and scheduled work. There were weather delays in April and in May the Field Supervisor and Regional Manager resigned. In May, glass panels were ordered and electrical work completed. June and July we were told they were waiting on glass panels and would not do finishing work until those arrived. August, panels were received and were wrong size and re-ordered. September 12, 14 months after contract was signed, we were scheduled for glass install and finishing. Contractor did not show/call. Sent email requesting clarification. No contact from team or company since 9/25/22. See pictures with current state of sunroom.

      Mr. & Mrs. ******,

We thank you for reaching out and understand your frustrations. As you mentioned, the job was substantially complete at the end of March
but full completion has not been reached at this point. We are determined to get your room completed to your full expectation. According to our records, someone has spoken with you to provide you with the following update.  We are contacting the city for our
electric rough inspection today and you have agreed to leave the
rear open so our Area Installation Manager and our contractor can
finish the house wall, install the glass wings, and handle punch list. We thank you for your patience and it is our promise that this process will be completed as soon as possible.

I am rejecting this response because:

While we received a notice and explanation from the business, those things stated in the response did not in fact transpire. Although, an electrical inspection appears to have been completed we have no evidence the area installation manager was on the  premises and none of the aforementioned jobs have been addressed and nothing has changed in the past 6 months. Further, we have received no timeline for completion of the job.

      Mr. and Mrs. *******

Our CADs were changed to reflect changes to framing and
ridge beam that was installed.  The electric rough in was inspected and
passed.  Once we receive the stamped drawings from our engineer (we expect
them in about 1 week) we are going to submit photos of the framing on the floor
structure along with the beam that was installed.  Our team is meeting the
plans reviewer for the city in person to submit.  We anticipate the city
approving the changes that we made to the framing and ridge beam and once that
is approved, we will submit for the final inspections for the framing and
      electrical.

It should be noted that you did perform work on the house wall that may
prohibit the final inspection from passing.  The removed windows on the
house wall and created an opening directly into the house.  We have a
temporary solution for that and will present that once the rough
framing inspections are passed. Once the rough framing inspections
pass, we will need to complete the glass wings (we have those ready for installation), install the
covers to the electrical posts, and walk through to get any small final items that may need to occur.

If all goes well, we anticipate all of the work and
inspections being completed within the next 4-5 weeks. Hope this provides the outline that you requested. Thank you for your patience.

      I signed a contract on April 21, 2022.
I paid in total $16,551.02 through the company credit card and they have not finished the job yet.
The company committed to provide me a sunroom for my patio.
      The dispute is:
We have four walls on the patio. Two walls are of the house, and the other two, are the ones Patio Enclosures By Great Improvements LLC has to construct with glass. The company constructed the left wall with one window, but the right wall with the door entry has not been installed yet. Also, they need to fix the handle of the left glass window. I have attached the contract and two photos.
Every time the construction crew comes, they have the wrong parts. They have been into our house 4 times and the installation crew does not have a copy of the original design so they know when they leave the warehouse that they even have the right parts. I called the operations manager for the region and he thought that it was a good idea to give the installation crew, the diagram or design so they know what they are doing.
On April 21, I signed the contract, and on May 25, the HOA release was signed, on June 28, I called at 10:00 a.m. to find out when they were going to start the sunroom. Between July 1st and July 24, they built part of the sunroom. We requested to finish it soon because the family was coming for vacation and we wanted to enjoy our sunroom.
On July 25, I called at 9:00 a.m. to find out when the sunroom was going to be finished. On August 1, I left a message to the Regional Operations Manager **** ***** at ************. Later I talked with him about the situation. On August 12, the crew installation came with the wrong parts. On August 18, they were going to bring the right parts, but they didn't show up. On August 29, I called and talked with ***** about the issue. They promised to come on Sept. 7, Sept 23, Sept 26 and nobody showed up.
The company has not solved the problem. I don’t have an order number.
      Thank you.

      Mr. ******,

      Customer Answer

      Date: 10/12/2022

I am rejecting this response because:

Job was to be completed this summer and is still not completed correctly. The company keeps ordering the wrong parts and does not send the design with the installation teams. The door handle is the wrong type and color. The transom for the door side is only 2 window lites so it does not match the 3 lite transom on the window side. This is the 5th time this has been reordered and it always returns as a 2 lite transom. The handle on the window is installed incorrectly and the mounting screws are stripped. The screen door is mounted incorrectly also.

I have photos of all of these but your site will not let me upload them.

The wording of their contract is totally outside of normal contract terms also...laughable.
