1 starI recently purchased a double bagger for my mower. At first, the tube was working properly to feed the grass into the baggers. However, as I continued mowing, the grass consistently got stuck in the beginning of the tube, and I had to stop every minute or so to manually remove the grass from the tube - defeating the purpose of the bagging system. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the tube multiple times, but this issue persisted.Because the bagger was not performing the way it was supposed to, I decided to return it - only to find that their return policy is 14 days for UNUSED products. I made three separate phone calls, on hold for over an hour and a half total, to try and return my bagger because it was not performing correctly. They told me that since I had used it, I could not return it. This is a ridiculous return policy for customers who receive faulty products, because they are then stuck with an unusable product that they paid hundreds of dollars for.I will not be purchasing anything from Cub Cadet again unless this issue is addressed.Review fromchris c

Do not buy from this company. They do not stand behind their product. I bought a brand new Ultima ZT1 54in, It worked for 3 months and put less than 20 hours on it. Now the ignition has gone out and it has been at the shop for 3 weeks. The part is on back order and after sitting on the phone with cub cadet for and hour they say that the soonest the part will be shipped is September 5th. So now i have to pay to have my lawn mowed for 2 months after spending over 4k for a mower and they refuse to do anything to make it right. This company is a joke and if you dont want to deal with a brand new mower breaking then buy from a different company. And to top it all off the girl i spoke to said this is the highest in the company i can go and they would not do anything to make this issue rightMTD Products, Inc.

1 starVery disappointed!! Purchased a rim and tire assembly for my mower at a cost of $352.00, thinking I was getting two for that price. Even my local dealer thought the same. Contacted them and was told factory sets the price and it is what it is. Any other brand of comparable size is half the cost. Would have thought more from Cub Cadet/MTD!Review fromLawrence M

I returned an item 5 weeks ago in which i paid $50 to ship with the understanding that i would be refunded my money. I have sat on hold for hours and when someone has picked up, they've always given me a different number to call. Their service is horrible! I bought a $121 mower deck and paid an extra $50 to ship it back. I should have just sold it to someone myself. My case # is ********MTD Products, Inc.

The MTD website took my order with no indication of the part being on back order. When I inquired online "****" informed me that MTD does not bill until the item ships. ( 33m 55s ) ****: We do not take money until shipment This and the website are both misleading. MTD did process the order and has taken money for something they cannot provide. The website should be better attached to the supply chain and MTD should not sell items they are not in possession of. Interest free loans at the expense of customers is a poor business practice.MTD Products, Inc.

1 starIt really is it important to pay attention to poor reviews of a company when you order online. I couldnt find the part I needed from any other company, so I ordered a part for my weed trimmer from them. From the description and the picture shown, I ordered the right part. But when it came it was not the right part. I called the number they gave on the packing slip to receive return authorization. I was passed around to three different people during the two hours and 45 minutes that I was on hold, and never did get what I needed. I finally had to give up. MTD customer service is the worst. Terrible customer service. Mower stopped working 30 minutes into first use. Told to call a local service center and they would reimburse costs. After I did this and sent them my receipt they refused to cover the repair costs. After countless unreturned emails I finally got them on the phone, was on hold for 50 minutes. They were very unhelpful and now want me to spend time getting the service center to send them proof it was a warranty issue that their mower stopped shortly after first being turned on. Under our warranty guidelines, it is necessary for a unit to be evaluated by a certified service dealer to determine the cause of failure. As advised, the work order from the service center must explain the cause of the failure and a determination stating that it was a warrantied issue. If it was a manufacturer defect in workmanship or material then the service center files a warranty claim for labor and/or parts. A review of the work order provided to our customer service agent was completed and it does not state there was a defect of any kind with the unit. I ordered a bagger for my mower. After waiting a week I called in an agent shared it was backordered for a minimum of 3 weeks. I needed a bagger for my business, so then ordered one from another company. I called back minutes later to cancel and you then told me it was already packaged for shipment and I could not cancel. As you can imagine I was frustrated to learn this after you just told me it would take nearly a month. You said in writing that if I wanted to refuse the shipment I would receive a refund. However, I was only refunded $675.21 after refusing and I paid $758.95. This has been a painful experience. It was been the absolute worst customer service I have ever witnessed. I can't even get someone on the phone to speak with me about this case. And apparently the only method you communicate is via telephone accoring to the chat agent. I have logged over 13hrs of waiting on hold off and on since the first week of May. Case #********MTD Products, Inc.

This is some of the worst customer service I've experienced in my life. I've waited almost three weeks for a part (a nearly $400 part) and have heard nothing. I called Friday and discovered the number on the website is wrong. I called again this morning and waited on hold for over thirty minutes. The person that answered said the part is on backorder (it wasn't when I ordered it on the website) and that it could take a week or a month. I asked for a refund and they said sure they could do that. I asked for confirmation before they hung up, and I was told that they could only request a refund. "Higher up" would have to actually cancel the order. I was told I could call back in a week or two to check in on the refund/cancellation if I hadn't heard anything. Finally, I was told that the refund ($) could take 30 days or more to receive.DON'T BUY IT OFF THE WEBSITE. They were apparently recently acquired by another company according to the recording when I called the wrong number. Maybe they were decent before? Not anymore. This is abominable. Avoid them at all costs. It's more convenient to inconveniently drive to the store and figure it out than to order from this website.MTD Products, Inc.

They finally shipped me this and charged me after theyve evidently confirmed the cancelation above. If their phone service wasnt so incapable of tending to customers, it would be MUCH easier to dispute this. But theyre not effective at fielding phone calls and they do not have any other means of communication thats been made evident to me through this process. Now I have a giant box six months late and dont even know what to do about it. I despise this company and cannot encourage the reader strongly enough to avoid purchasing from them at all costs.Review fromBrian D

Do not under any circumstances buy anything from MTD Shelby Operations or Cub Cadet!!!!. I ordered parts from Cub Cadet and had no idea they use MTD for service calls and products.Called the number on the shipping order and the one listed on Cub Cadets website. takes me to the same endless waiting ****. I have owned my Cub Cadet and do my own yearly service on it. Usually just pick up the parts in the store but thought maybe I would try to get a complete service kit. Worst mistake on the year for me and the year ain't even over yet. that is how ticked off I am about the way they have their business setup. I will not buy another lawnmower from them for this stupid reason. What a racket they have going. Make it almost impossible to get anyone with a problem with your parts or orders. Once you do, the person says they "Do not have the authority to cancel a "back ordered item" and they must transfer you to a level 2 person who can authorize". Now your real hold time begins. I waited over an hour and no one ever answered. I have tried twice and nothing even though I have a direct level 2 telephone number. Bravo Cub Cadet and MTD. You found a way to tick off customers as well as stop them from canceling an order. Won't be worth it though as I will never buy another thing from Cub Cadet and make sure to research when buying so I don't ever give MTD my time or money. And I am getting rid on my lawnmower and buying from somewhere else. I was going to replace it soon but no longer going to get another Cub cadet. Can't put a price on satisfying customers now days. Cub Cadet and MTD's motto must be "Just tick them off but don't worry because a new ****** will come along".MTD Products, Inc.
