I purchased a Cobra CB 75 all Road for $99.84 on May 11, 2025. I asked the store clerk Isaac register number 41 if I brought the CB if it happened to be the wrong one, would I be able to it to any Travel center of America? He informed me yes as long as I have the Physical receipt.
I stopped at the Travel center of America at *** ******** ****** ****** North Dakota. I spoke to the clerk there and she said that they cannot return it if they do not have the product on the shelves. I was informed that they are not able to resell it if they do not sell that product at that store.
I did called the Travel center of America in Ontario where I purchased the item from and I spoke to James the supervisor and he informed me that he is unable to make the store perform a return and is unable to tell me what I can do other than return it back to the TA in Ontario, California. I am a truck driver that’s over the road and I cannot travel back to Ontario, California from North Dakota to make a return.
I asked James the supervisor is there a store that he can recommend and he said that TA does not have the technology to find out whatproduct is in different stores?Business Response

This issue involves both a series of unsuccessful repair attempts on my trailer and unprofessional behavior from the location’s manager, Julian ******.

Incident Summary:
Visit #1 – May 25, 2025
I visited the service center due to a recurring issue: when the front axle of my trailer was lowered, the ABS Trailer Warning Light would appear. When the axle was lifted, the warning disappeared.
After a diagnosis, your technician replaced a completely different and fully working ABS sensor, which had no relation to the issue. I paid for the service under Work Order #*** *******
However, as soon as I drove just 2 miles away, the warning light came back on.

Visit #3 – May 28, 2025
Manager Misconduct
At that point, the location manager Julian ****** approached and, quite frankly, dismissed my complaint in a rude and disrespectful manner. He refused to provide service, denied me access to a replacement sensor, and refused to sell me the part I needed.
This conduct was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I have never been treated with such disregard as a paying customer.

I am requesting the following:
• That this incident be investigated at the corporate level.
• That I be contacted directly to discuss how TA will address the incomplete service and the inappropriate behavior of the manager.
• That TA resolves this issue fairly, either by completing the necessary repair or by offering an appropriate refund and apology.

On Sunday March 9th I parked my eighteen wheeler at the Hammond LA Petro truck stop location. The parking space that I parked in was not marked as "Paid Parking". The little bit of paint that was on the ground with barely visible in daylight when I parked. About three hours after I was there, I got a knock on my door telling me that I was in a Paid Parking space. I uploaded a photo of the area where I parked. I didn't have the option to move as there were no other free spaces available and I was past my legal driving limit so I just went and paid for parking. . I contacted the customer service and was told that I would have to contact the store itself for any kind of resolution because I paid with a debit card. I tried to call the store and couldn't get through. I can't do anything in person.Business Response

Today Feb 8, 2025 at Oasis I bought chocolate
Milk, dated 2-11-25. ***** ***** brand. One quart.
It was sour.
Went to return it, with receipt, they refused exchange and no refund.
The manager on duty about 10:43 am was asked. Her reply,
"We can't exchange nor refund any drinks".
I believe she is lying and needs to refund or allow an exchange for this.
I left my receipt and the quart on the counter. Should've kept it!Business Response

At this location I was trying to get me trailer tire change but had issues with the staff. First I had to stop two mechanics from about to fight. Both guys gave me a hard time with what I was asking them to do as far as changing and rotating my tire after the had a 45 minute meeting with a lady in the office about what happened in the garage. The lady and 2 mechanics are very unprofessional and didn’t know what they was talking about when it came to grouping tire and tire warranty. They took forever to even start on my truck let alone finish. I’m Erick with ***** * ***** ***** ********. I’ve been to of shops and never seen the staff so unprofessional and slow.Business Response

First, the mechanic was treating our equipment like trash, driver went out and told him to ease up a bit, the mechanic proceeded to yell at the driver and be rude.
Second, needed an airbag for the truck. Driver tried asking what the prices were but they would NOT disclose the prices. Driver started shopping around and said he was going to Loves but it was only $190 for the off brand bag, TA INSISTED they could do it cheaper with the off brand bag. Driver said okay, and decided to stay. After truck had already been worked on and put back together, they did not disclose any pricing or review of the work until the driver would pay. Come to find out, TA marked up their off brand airbag to $295 before labor! After the driver was very polite and stated that they said they could do it cheaper, manager said, “that’s just the price nothing I can do since the work is done and paid for” and he walked away.Business Response

Took my truck for a snapped serpentine belt tensioner problem with the signs on they diagnosed it. They gave me a quote of 4200 to fix it when the job was done the lights were still on and even the low oil pressure light came on. They told me to do Oil Change so I did Oil Change, but the sign stayed on. I called back. The shop technician indicated that we don’t have Volvo software but yet they had the software to diagnose. and take my money. I don’t even know if they fixed it or not. I end up paying 4200 and they told me to take it to Dealer to clear all those coats now I took it to Dealer I end up paying $3000 extra. My understanding of a mechanic shop once they find the problem they diagnosed it when they fix it they should fix it all the way and clearing all the codes, but not this TA very rude. Told me we took your money you could leave. and I have a phone call, recording yelling at me and telling me to leave. We already took our money. I really want this case to be solved. God knows how many truck drivers got screwed like I did.
Please go over my receipt and see the Jack top prices they give to the truck drivers. It’s more expensive than the dealer and yacht. They don’t even finish the job and kick you out of the Shop. I would like business bureau to look into thisBusiness Response

I stopped at the dodge city petro at 426 AL-69, Hanceville, AL 35077 and got gas unfortunately I pulled the gas thing out of the holder and gas started getting all in the outside of the tank and on the side of my car plus it gas on my car paint and got gas in my crocs and on my foot I had to wash my foot in the bathroom sink even though I couldn’t reach my leg up too the sink so I had to wet paper towels to get the soap off my feet the cashier nor the manager helped wash my car with soap and water they only pour a medium size cup full of water on the outside and in the gas tank I then I played the coin slot and $1.50 got stuck in the machine which they also would not help with I would like a refund and them to pay for a car wash so my car don’t start having peeling paint not only that I have to drive that car like that for 7 more hours with the gas on the side of my brand new car I also want to tell you the pump number was pump 13Business Response

I took my box truck to the TA in Baytown, TX, to have two batteries replaced (labor only) after confirming the cost of $60 over the phone. Once they replaced the batteries, the truck wouldn't start. The TA team said they didn’t know what was wrong and suggested leaving it overnight for a more experienced mechanic to diagnose it the next day. I paid the $60 labor fee and sent the driver to a hotel. The next morning, I was told the issue was due to the new batteries not being properly connected—a clear mistake by their mechanic. Despite this, they tried to charge us $600, then lowered it to $400, and we ultimately settled on $200 just to get the truck released. I escalated the issue to several people, including the district manager, and was repeatedly told it would be resolved and a refund issued. However, after months of follow-up, nothing has been done. I recommend avoiding this location, or at least paying with a credit card so you can dispute charges. Otherwise, you might end up paying for their mistakes and wasting time dealing with empty promises.Business Response
