I been a member sense I was 19 when It was prepaid legal I struggling and couldnt pay they said I can keep my old plan I got start over what a scam guess I got find something like legal zoom to MetLife

I would give it zero Stars if I could. I've been a member of LegalShield for several years. And the last month I had to use LegalShield 10 times for legal matters. While in the middle of performing legal work on my behalf such as letters which take about a 3-day turnaround without my permission and unbeknownst to me LegalShield canceled my membership as a business decision leaving me to have to find someone else as legal counsel and have to explain the whole situation to them from them to handle the matter. I feel they should have completed the work they started in spite of them deciding to cancel my membership this is horrific this is beyond words to leave a paying customer ********************** in fact high and dry instead of at least finishing the letters and other documents I asked them to complete while still covered under the prepaid membership for which I still had a month of service left. Do not get the service it is one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had I do not recommend this service to anyone.LegalShield

I was not impressed with this service. The type of information the lawyer i spoke to gave me was similar to that of a FREE phone consultation that you would typically have with a lawyer you were thinking of hiring. I am trying to cancel my membership and they give you the run around . Chat > Automated Phone Message > They ask you to email support which then you get an automated email from a different domain name. No one responds!! I was advised my credit card company to report FRAUD for future transactions. They also suggested I cancel the credit card. I should have paid attention to all the bad reviews. ****** learned. I signed up with legal Shield about a year ago. They proved to be completely incompetent and not even worth the $29.95 a month. I canceled my membership and closed the **** card that they had access to. I did not try to dispute the charges. I figured I'd just learn my ****** the hard way. I just received a check from LegalShield made out to me in the amount of $29.95 for my first month's membership. I think there may have been a class action lawsuit against them because I had terminated my relationship almost a year ago. They got failing grades from the better Business bureau. I'm pretty sure there are a few things more difficult in life than to get an attorney to part with money. Especially if it's yours! I don't know how many thousands or even tens of thousands of former customers received varying refund checks. Mine was totally unexpected. They must be facing some pretty severe consequences for their sloppy and misrepresented promises. They made my day today. I finally have complete closure with these legal buffoons. If you're looking to have legal assistance on retainer you should read the fine print and check with the better Business bureau before signing up for any legal service.LegalShield

I have been trying to cancel. I've followed instructions, emailed them with my name, account number, phone number, email address, and a request to cancel. Apparently they have no plan to do so. I'm gonna contact consumer affairs and whoever else I can think to. And I want my money backLegalShield

I would like a REFUND in addition to my cancelation. Not ONE attorney helped with my only two simple cases. Instead, each and every time I spoke to each one they all insisted that I LOST my case--that the judgment was final. Then, I had another case that they also said could not be filed. Two separate cases. ALL of them were WRONG. Over half a dozen different attorneys wasted my time--since first returning to LEGALSHIELD. Each time I spoke to any one of them they devoted their time to ridicule and insult me--all in agreement of each other with their insults and attacks about the first judgment being final with no recourse and the other case claiming I could not file. Their entire time was only devoted toward reprimanding me about wasting their precious time rather than LOOKING for possible options available to me.I've been paying for this for months. For NOTHING except insults. Once giving up on them I accomplished finding the exception to the rules AND WAS SUCCESSFUL in getting BOTH separate court trials. So, I will finally have my two days in court.NO THANKS TO THIS HIDEOUS BUNCH OF ATTORNEYS that derive all satisfaction from no more than calling to berate and mouth off in superiority against a subscriber. They must resent responding to calls from subscribers paying our monthly. Probably frustrated attorneys unable to launch their own private practices--lashing out on their subscribers.I strongly suggest look for another service or finding the answers yourself.LegalShield

legal shield makes almost impossible to cancel.. Ive sent in letters to cancel and they keep charging away the times I've used them the just blew me off off with bs answers and they don't help. kinda or worthless. i pay them for nothing.LegalShield

Outright scam. Paid membership for nearly a year. Started it when I was conned by a crooked car dealer. They told me car dealers get away with it and it's not worth fighting. I insisted that they at least write him a letter, they did so. but pulled my access to the letter within a few days ( before I could download it ) $12000 gone. No rights for me. More recently I called concerning medical care. I am disabled, have SSDI / ******** and I still have hospitals bouncing me out the back door and refusing care. Legalshields answer " we don't do that" . No rights for me. I just spent weeks trying to cancel. They make it extremely difficult. They should be investigated for criminal fraud. Too bad I don't have a lawyer.LegalShield

I canceled their service October 2022. Apparently, LegalShield did not accept my cancellation and has been billing my MasterCard which I did not catch until today. I'm asking for a refund for the 17 months billing of $29.95 per month (about $500 total) and currently am trying to "finalize" my cancellation which appears to be labor intensive but I'm doing it.LegalShield

LegalShield says it records conversations with customers and its representative last week indicated it recorded my telephone conservation 17 months ago when I attempted to cancel my subscription to its service. That representative indicated the representative talked me out of canceling. That is not true. Maybe, and Im not certain, the representative at that time did not tell me that I had to cancel in writing. Please ask LegalShield to provide the recording of that conversation.Since that time LegalShield has sent me periodic emails reminding me of its service. I mistakenly, (apparently) assumed those emails were reminders of the services it provided IF I wanted to re-subscribe. When reviewing my latest credit card bill I saw LegalShield was still billing me. I then talked to a representative who told me to cancel in writing, which I did through an email, and also requested a refund of about $500 ($29.95 per month) paid since I requested cancellation 17 months ago. A couple days ago LegalShield sent me a notice advising me my subscription was canceled and it is reviewing my refund request.
