Terrible service, I requested a battery recharge. They came, let the car started, asked me to have it run for 20 minutes. I kept it for one hour and turn it off. When I tried to turn it on it did not work.I did everything they asked for, however it never worked. Now they want to charge me again for a battery charge or to bring my car to the shop!!! It's incredble.

My oil change ended up costing me $500! Stay away from this business! They damaged my car! On July 14, 2023 I brought my vehicle in for an oil change. Towards the end of the service the manager informed me that one of his workers walked into my drivers side mirror and knocked it off. I asked for a statement detailing the event. He at first refused, then asked me to write one to which I refused. I eventually got him to write and send me an email accepting responsibility for the damage. He stated they could fix it or if that didn't work they would accept responsibility for further repair. While being fixed I went to take pics of the damage. I asked the mechanic performing the repair if he had any experience fixing drivers side mirrors and he responded that he did not but he has a Lexus that he sometimes works on. The mirror was attached but it was not affixed properly and vibrated when driving, it was unusable and unsafe. I tried to get in touch with the manager on numerous occasions by phone and by stopping in but he was never available. I called and left numerous messages with their corporate office over the course of three weeks and never heard back from them even though I repeatedly was told someone would call me back. I had to file an insurance claim with my insurer to get the mirror fixed. My insurance company has since tried to recoup my $500 deductible as well as their cost but have since closed the case since they were unable to do so. Stay away from this place. Their customer ********************** is pathetic. There was no empathy for my situation. While at the store interacting with the manager the day of the accident while I remained calm the manager became irate because I took pictures of the damage. If I could give this place zero stars thats what they would get.

Took our truck there to get inspection done. We called and told them that we knew it wouldn't pass emissions because of an O2 sensor that was bad. We had the part, but just weren't able to get the s**** out to replace it. Called and told them all this and ask for a tire rotation (we bought the tires there), to check the back passenger tire for a slow leak, to fix the O2 sensor, and do inspection and emissions. I paid $158 and NONE of these thing got done. We walked away with them telling us it was going to cost $5600 to get our car inspected. We were told it needed a new water pump and control arms and ball joints. The $158 was to tell us that it would pass emissions and we already told them that when we called. They never completed anything else and when we ask why they did an engine diagnostic, when we told them about the O2 sensor, they claim that this was the first they heard of it. As far as I'm concerned, we got ripped off. Will NEVER go there again. Con arstist

I decided to replace my front brake pads and rotors with Pep Boys, though, I shouldnt have. The $672 estimate is outrageous for brake replacement. My brother has an identical car model, a 2017 ******* Elantra, and for the same service, he had a significant difference in price with another auto shop ($200+). Ill say that Im the fool because I didnt bother consulting him beforehand, or decide to get estimates from other shops. If youre looking to go here, you might just get an overpriced service. Though, Ill call it getting scammed.

We are filing a police report based on the damage sustained to our vehicle during its stay at Pep boys. Someone deliberately took a screwdriver to our gas tank creating 2 punctures that have rendered the gas tank completely unusable. The damage to the gas tank consists of 2 very clear, circular punctures with hash marks that resemble a the marks on a philips head screwdriver. This damage comes with a cost of over $1500 in parts and labor. We believe Pep Boys damaged our vehicle while it was there or that it was vandalized while in the parking lot. The manager told us that our van was kept inside but we know this to be untrue as we drove past it after hours on multiple occasions and saw the van parked outside. Also, the manager lied about having already priced the gas tank and in fact had already ordered the gas tank. We got pricing for this several days earlier. We were also surprised to see that in the recommended services, the gas tank was not listed. So....why is pep boys ordering a gas tank for work that is not listed and is not authorized? Something is not right here and we caught the manager in several lies. We have opened a case with the police and will be getting to the bottom of this.

I took my car into pep boys around September 19th, 2023 and I had a manager named ******** And the mechanic I don't remember his name but he's the tall skinny white boy with blonde hair. Nonetheless, these two were scamming customers at pep boys in ******, ******* on speedway and alvernon pretending that things were wrong with my car that was not wrong with the car so they can get more money. I brought my car in because I smelt burnt wire which I knew was my belts. She came back telling me that I needed my back brakes, my rotors, my pads that I needed my alternator. I didn't go in there because my battery was dying. The only thing that I went in there for was my belts. When i came to pick up my car they told me that I was going to continue to hear noises but it would go away gradually in time. The noise got worse and worse and every time I brought my car in there they never looked at my back brakes. They only looked at my front then they came back telling me that I needed three wheel bearing hubs. After having my car for 48 hours I ended up getting a second opinion and the person's like your car is too new. You do not need three wheel bearing hubs. I've replaced my alternator and my battery three times within 5 months and my brakes have continually sound terribly. When I got my second opinion it in fact told me that what I thought was going on was going on! This business has been scamming me and the manager. The new manager confirmed what I thought was true. I'm an Uber driver. I've had over 700 riders in my car and they took my pads off my brakes and put on old pads from another car And the grinding noises that I've been hearing is the pads grinding into my tires. I never took my car in there for rod breaks. I took my car in there for belts. The girl works down the street now at another pep boy but they fired the mechanic. I'm that satisfied. And I'm definitely reporting to BBB and a police report.
