      Pepboys employee unprofessionalism review: Unprofessional Manner of PEPboys employee

      I would like to submit a complaint reference to a Pep Boy employee who refused to give me his name and said, While I was trying to explain my vehicle situation and coordinate to drop off my vehicle, I informed this individual I'm at a hotel. I needed to coordinate for a tow truck and contact my brother-in-law to see if he was home ...this individual put me on hold without saying just a second and came back on the phone and said come tomorrow at 9 a.m. because the General Manager you spoke to is not here...as I trying to explain to him and ask, please stop cutting me off when I'm trying to explain to you details. Then he said, "Why did you swell up on me? I'm trying to help you, and he hung up on me..." he refused to give me his name; the address is 140 S. Stephane Street, Henderson, Nevada. Ph: 702.383.9988. He started to raise his voice and was very unprofessional and threatening. I called again, and he hung up on me...I called and spoke to the tech and told him my displeasure with the individual's unprofessional behavior. This incident should be reported to the highest level of Pep Boys management and potentially to the Better Business Bureau for this individual, as I told him I am a disabled veteran, not from Las Vegas. I'm from Atlanta, paying thousands of dollars to get my vehicle timing belt replaced, and I need to schedule my vehicle. Still, the individual refused to schedule my appointment and hung up on me.
      I have been a Pep Boys customer for over forty years, and I have never experienced such unprofessionalism in reference to customer service. This individual does not professionally represent the Pep Boys organization and should be reprimanded or terminated for his unprofessional demeanor.
      The purpose of my complaint is to prevent other customers from receiving the unprofessionalism of this individual.

      Went for an oil change. Supposed to get free tire rotation and vehicle inspection. I was able to watch the entire process. They did not change the oil filter. They did not rotate the tires. They did a poor vehicle inspection. They did not replace all of the clips that hold the splash guard under the engine. When I complained I got no response. Very bad service!!!!!!

      *Incompetent management from front desk customer service to explaining why they screwed up a simple job. If you are going to tell a customer that the service will be done and your car ready at a certain time, you should be able to deliver within a narrow margin.
      A simple brake job should not take 3.5 days. If there is a recent history of part supply delays, explain it up front.
      *I did not ask for, nor appreciate, the full inspection, diagnostic and the hard push for an up-sell.
      *The woman next to me went in for an oil change. 3 hrs later they told her they accidentally drained her transmission fluid and couldn't do anything about it until later the next morning. It was too late in the evening for them to get her a rental car. When I left without my car, again, she was crying on the phone to someone trying to figure out what to do.

      Went to Pep Boys in Clermont Fl. About 2 1/2 weeks ago to put 4 new tires on my wife’s vehicle. The following week my wife told me she was hearing noise coming from the front of the vehicle and that lights are flashing on and off. She does not use the car daily. This weekend I drove her car and heard the noise and the ABS light and the slip warning lights are on. In addition the cruise control won’t work.
      I contacted Pep Boy and asked them to look at the vehicle and to see if their tire installation may have caused something to dislodge to cause these lights to come on and the cruise control to stop working. The man said to bring the vehicle in. When my wife took the vehicle in the counter person told her she would need to pay $150 for them to check if they did anything wrong. I spoke to the counter person who would not budge from the charge to check their work. So I will take to another repair establishment and if they are to blame, my next stop will be my lawyer. I will never return to this establishment again!

      I will never go back to pep boys ever again . I made a appointment last Sunday at 11am for a oil change and tire rotation .got there 5 mins early for them to tell me that they didnt have the filter i needed for my car that they needed to get it from another store so he said in a hour or two i will go get it. So i just said to him ill just make another appointment for next saturday at 11am. So i went today saturday. Oct.28th at 11am and the guy said are you staying or leaving it will take a hour and half so we said okay. My family and i went to take a walk for a hour and went back and my car was in the same spot. Waited there for another 15mins and i complianed.. I got my keys back and told them i am going else where. Why make appointment if your not gonna obey by the appointment. They were busy but that is why i made the appointment. My husband saw one of the workers smoking near the car they were working at. I will NEVER go back there again.... Dont ever go there for your car service needs... !!!!!!

      DO NOT GO HERE FOR AN OIL CHANGE!! The only reasons I went there was because I could make an appointment, the oil change included a tire rotation, and I had a coupon for 25% off. RIP OFF 100%!!! First, the tech arrived *over an hour late*, so the appointment time was a joke. Then, he didn't even rotate my tires, and when I asked why not I was told "the wear is even and the only time you rotate tires is when there's uneven wear". ????. You rotate your tires to *prevent* uneven wear. But after waiting over an hour just to start the appointment, then the guy moving slower than molasses in January and the car already off the lift, I didn't have time to insist he rotate my tires. Lastly, there's some kind of crazy charge on the receipt that makes no sense ($40 for a 'performance service kit' that was neither discussed with me beforehand nor requested), the oil change wound up being $91 (NINETY ONE US DOLLARS!!!!) and that was AFTER the 25% discount. It's Sunday so I can't call the corporate office today, but their corporate customer service rep had better drink some extra coffee in the morning because I am going to give that person as earful. My advice to you is to go to Take 5 or Jiffy Lube. Pep Boys Union City, GA is a money trap. ??????

      I scheduled a tire replacement appointment online w/ the Elston location in Chicago, IL and received confirmation for 2 pm apt on 10/06. However, when I arrived I was told it would be about 2 additional hours before they could start working on my car because they were backed up. Ultimately, it ended up being a 5 hour wait. During that time, I was told that the tire size I selected and what I needed were different, but that I still qualified for the buy 3 get 1 free promotion, which I verified online. So at the end of it, I paid the bill only to later discover that I had been charged for all 4 tires. I promptly informed the shop, the person I spoke to agreeing that I shouldn’t have been charged for one of the tires, and I asked about how I could get refunded only to be told that they could not process a refund because the manager wasn’t present. I asked when the manager would be next available and was told he would be available the following day. But when I arrived the following day, I was told that the manager was still unavailable and wouldn’t be back until Monday. That’s when I reached out to Pep Boys customer service. After explaining the situation about the shop refusing to process a refund, I was told that the area manager would look into it and get back to me within 24 hours of the next business day (I immediately followed up this phone call with website screen shots and pictures of my receipt). This never happened. Instead, I called customer service 48 hours after the next business day only to be told that the area manager had looked into it but their notes weren’t clear. However, they told me that the area manager should be giving me a call by the end of the day or by the following day. Again, this never happened. Having recently contacted customer service, I was told that the area manager was told that the shop manager would be be back after the weekend — more than a week after the service — and to talk to the a manager then.

      No STARS!!! Pepboys on Covington hwy in Decatur GA literally destroyed the front end of my car. It looks like I was in a collision!!! I am definitely taking this to corporate and even further if I have to.

      I wish I could put 0 stars. I went in for a simple oil change and now I’m dealing with a busted wire under my passenger seat? How does this even happen? Now my car is in their possession for another 24hrs to fix something that was never wrong when it was in my possession. I am at a loss with my car for two days now, from an appointment I made for a simple oil change. I have to pay for this to get fixed, when I didn’t cause this. Horrible customer service, would not give me any customer service complaint numbers or file a complaint, just gave me the run around. I was going to this establishment for almost three years now and this is how they treat me? Never going back. No stars!

      These guys diagnosed and charged me $650 dollars to fix a overheating issue on a Honda Civic. A day later and it was still overheating. Returned in and they said it was something else. So paid another $170, and they said problem solved and fixed. That night it was overheating again. I went in to talk to the manager about it. They told me bring in back in, and that it could be a head gasket or engine seal leaking. Quoted me $4000-$5000 to replace the gaskets. I was shocked, cause I know that is extremely high. I will NEVER take another vehicle there.
