      I went to pep boys in 2721 Stirling Rd
      Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312
      United States to do a oil change with that Sevice they Offered a tires rotation when the service was done they call me to pickup my truck, when I got there the oil change was done but they didn’t rotated the tires because there was a nail on the side of the tire , I check and the nail wasn’t on the side so I ask to rotate the tires but the didn’t wanted, the manager started to talk louder so I decided to live and I spent $40 in other place to rotate tires is not fair just because they didn’t want it without a reason. I hope somebody call me from pep boy to give me an explanation and to pay me back for that rotation that I have to pay out of my pocket.

      I took my car in to Pep Boys to get an alternator installed. Once I picked my car up - it was worse off than when I took it in. Now they said it’s my transmission. One other person said it was the engine. I don’t think they know what they are doing AT ALL. This business need to be SHUT DOWN TODAY. I’m so dissatisfied with the customer service and the repairmen on the two days I took my car back.and forth. They also added a year warranty charge on my bill without getting the ok. I already had a year warranty on my part. The reps I spoke with that was awful was Norman, Jay and John. They referred me to go back to my dealership to get the answer about a code they could not figure out. I’m so upset right now.

      Alferd who works at 354 4th ave Brooklyn NY 11215 was not only rude but seemed mentally unstable. He cursed in front of our 10 year old daughter and made some odd remarks. This did not escalate to anything physical but I do want to note that this was not a situation a kid should watch or experience. I do think that mental assessment is necessary when employing staff, this would be a good case for it.

      Crap service - they say they'll do something and won't do it. They were suppose to order the part for my fuel door actuator and never did and I had to call and remind them about it. They finally said they ordered it but still never came and when I called to ask about it they hung up on me. They take hours to do a simple diagnostic. They don't communicate to one another of have a system where they can share information because when I asked for a status update on my vehicle they had to wait until the specific employee that was on my servicing ticket was available or in the store to get an update. Completely unprofessional.

      Went to get a state inspection mid-Aug. failed for several reasons, declined to have them to do the work. Items listed on failed state inspection: 2 lower ball joints and transmission motor mount. I had all 3 fixed by another shop at a 1/3 of Pepboys price. I went back to PepBoys on 9/23 for the reinspection showed my proof of made repairs, the lady(not whom was checking in the truck) behind the desk made a odd/strange/alarming comment anything that fails today we cannot re-reject for, which i replied I showed the rec. of all repairs made by a mechanic, so we should be good. She informed me they do not accept other shops work as proof? she REFUSED to even look at the proof. Well a few hours pass and the lady calls to say it failed for a right motor mount (NOT LIST ON THE ***** FAILED INSPECTION REPORT). I called the mechanic that completed the repairs and he stated there is NO WAY that motor mount is now bad, he just had the whole motor out to replace the transmission motor mount and Pepboys is running game on me. I called ******************* on Sat. case # ****** and 3 business days later they close the case without calling me. Notes from management says I did not provide proof of repairs. well management your mechanic is shady, your front desk lady is shady and you don't bother to call me the customer for me to show you the ***** which I do have. went to 3 mechanic shops yesterday 9/26 and ALL 3 said motor mounts are fine and I got a PASSED inspection sticker with no other repairs needed. beware of this location, they will make up things that need to be fixed to make money. If you take ************ elsewhere like I did, they will not accept the proof repairs I have also filed a complaint with the state police.

      These guys trapped me and took advantage. They quoted me an obscene amount then told me they’d give me a discount. When I checked the prices of the parts that were being replaced I realized they were charging me $200+ than what the part cost. They charge $155/hour and forgot to mention that as well. I got a text saying my car was ready. I showed up first thing in the morning to discover the lift broke and they hadn’t finished fixing my car. I was left stranded for two hours and had to cancel an appointment. All after they sent a text saying my car was read the previous day! Then I heard the mechanic quote a male customer a significantly lower price for the exact same parts I was over charged for! This place is unprofessional and a scam, don’t go here.

      I had pep boys replace about $2,000 worth of parts, mostly front suspension.
      A year later I came to get a quote on tires and all the parts they replaced a year ago have gone bad. They told me the parts are under warranty, but I have to pay about $1,600 to have them replaced. I asked the why do I have to pay for them to replace those bad parts. I feel I don’t have to pay for them to replace the parts that are not good. They didn’t want to help. Then I called headquarters and told them the problem and they acted like they don’t want it talk about my issues. They said they were going to have the manager of the pep boys I went to and nothing. This happened about 3 months ago and I don’t know what to do.

      I am deeply disappointed by my experience with Pep Boys in Altamonte Springs. During a time when my husband was in hospice care and I was dealing with a lot of stress, we decided to take our car to Pep Boys because the check engine light was on. We paid for the diagnostic service, only to be told that the repairs would cost a staggering $1300, which included various valve replacements for the code.
      Feeling overwhelmed and not entirely convinced, I chose to hold off on the repairs. Instead, I took my car to a local place near my house, and to my surprise, they identified a simple gas cap replacement as the solution, costing just $40.34.
      This experience left me deeply troubled, and I felt compelled to speak with the manager at Altamonte Springs. I couldn't help but feel that they were taking advantage of my situation, quoting $1300 when the actual issue was resolved for a fraction of that cost.
      It is disheartening that I had to go through this ordeal and that I couldn't trust Pep Boys to provide honest and fair advice. This experience has not only left a lasting negative impression, but it has also made me wary of seeking services from the company in the future.
      I would advise anyone dealing with Pep Boys in Altamonte Springs to exercise caution and consider seeking a second opinion, as my experience has demonstrated the importance of doing so.

      Pepboys wheel alignment warranty is a rip off. In March 2023, I purchased a one year wheel alignment warranty from pepboys store on Milwaukee in Nile, IL. On September 19, 2023, I went to the pepboys store on 4164 north Milwaukee in Chicago for wheel alignment since my one year warranty was still active. Surprisingly, the guy at the front desk wanted a proof in the form of a receipt that showed that, I had a one year warranty on my car even though that information was in their system. I called the Niles location to confirm it which they did over the phone. After a couple of hours, they took my car in only to came back later to tell me that, I had bad front tires so the wheel alignment could not be done. I was disappointed because the tires he was referring to were purchased on August 16, 2023 and I don't think they can go THAT bad in a month's time. Clearly, they didn't want to honor the one year warranty agreement I had with them. I am very disappointed and will never go back there again for any service or refer them to anyone. Thanks

      This place is horrible. They charge for services they clearly did not complet such as wheel alignment. They over inflated my new tires. When I voiced a concern the next day, the male staff brushed me off and added even more air to my tires. I went to a local shop to check tire pressure went back and explained that there is clearly a problem and was again brushed off. Now I get an oils change at my dealer and learn my car is severely out of alignment.
      Disgusting customer service.
