      Starter replacement for 650 dollars??? Rebuilt starter is approximately 150 dollars from most stores. They charged 355 dollars

      I took my car to Pep Boys less than a week and a half ago and they did not evaluate my front end of my vehicle before doing the alignment knowing that I needed repairs first then the customer service representative at the store was very rude. They never did correct the problem. I’m requesting my money back; the store manager was polite, but he didn’t honor the fact that they didn’t evaluate my front end and wouldn’t refund my money

      HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!!! I had my SUV towed to Pep Boys **** ***** *** It was parked there for “4 Days”. Ok, first they said they couldn’t diagnose it because the “Battery” was dead (but not all the way dead, it just had a low battery level. Ok, fine, I GOT A BRAND NEW BATTERY FROM AAA, they kept complaining that they couldn’t get it in neutral. The AAA got it in Neutral & so did I. Then it was said to me that it was the “Fuel Pump” ok. Then I got a call to come & pick up my vehicle because “AGAIN” they couldn’t get it in neutral & now HIS GUYS DID NOT WANT TO TAKE ON THE JOB. I got my car towed & the tow truck guy also put it in NEUTRAL & PULLED OT ON HIS TRUCK!!!!! Why are u in business if u don’t want to do a job. Or was it because I AM A BLACK FEMALE & U JUST DIDN’T WANT TO FIX MY CADILLAC????? As the dealer said, small ppl just don’t know what to do

      Avoid the Eatontown NJ Pep boys location at all costs!!! I had an appointment scheduled to have brakes and tires done at 12 PM. I was told the car would be finished by 4 PM. By 5 PM the car was not finished and I heard the Store Manager on the phone and it was apparent they did NOT have the parts needed to repair my car, even though the mechanic had pulled my car brakes apart and was waiting to do the repair. While sitting in their waiting room only 15 feet away, I overheard the store manager Joe tell an employee to CALL me and tell me and tell me my car would not be done that day. I had already been there over 5 hours at this point. The employee pointed over to me and told the Manager Joe that I had been sitting there for over 5 hours. THE MANAGER THEN PROCEDED TO LEAVE FOR THE DAY! This left me without a driveable car And myself, the store employee and mechanic not knowing what to do. The entire day I had asked for a detailed invoice regarding the work to be done and the costs. I was continually given excuses why they couldn't give me this to me until the work was done. I was told by Joe the Manager that they were cheaper than a dealership which was NOT true and were actually more expensive! I didn't leave the location until 6 and a half hours later. I was forced to leave with a car that had to have to it's old worn out brakes put back on it in order for me to drive home. I was NEVER TOLD at any time until 5 hours later that there was any problems or that they didnt have or couldn't get the parts needed to do the brakes on my car. I was forced to go to another location to have my brakes repaired. I was also lied to that tires I had purchased from them were eligible for a 100 dollars rebate. This was NOT True. If you want the worst car repair experience possible then go to this location. This store looks a Pep Boys from a third world country. It was dirty, infested with flies, and didn't even have a working TV in the waiting room.

      it sucks drove 30 minutes for appointment only to be told there's 6 cars ahead of me an only one mechanic wasted my time and drove back another 30 minutes never again

      Just Bought 2012 Cadillac Cts4, Had Transmission, And Car Serviced, No Leaks,, Goes To Pepboys 2Weeks Later, Full Sythic Oil Change ,Air and Cabin Filter,A Week Later Car Smoking,Pulled Over In Walmart,, Ask The Manager For Help,I Watched When They Pulled My Car In The Bay,The Tech Asked Who Changed The Oil,, I Said Pepboys!! The Tech Said My Oil Plug Was Stripped,In Forced In Crooked,Then The Oil Wasn't Changed At All,I Was Charged For And Air Filter They Don't Have,, A Week Later Pepboys Mgr. TIA,,, Brought Out Her MasterMechanic,,No Shirt, No Name, No Manners,All The Bay Doors Was Open!! Except Where My Car Was Door Closed,, And I Was Not Allowed Back There At All,No Escort,,Nothing,,45Mins Later He Brings Me In The Back??? I,Couldnt Go At First!!! Then Tell Me My Timming Belt Cover Is Leaking,All The Way on The Other Side Of The Engine???? I Asked For It In Writing,,He Said I Didn't Need It!!! THE Manger Told Me To Stop Calling Corporate,I Asked Her To Stop Trying To Scare Me, I Have The Text!!!And Pepboys Corporate Haven't Called Or Someone Else Besides The Same Guy In Corporate,,,Saying A Someone Will Call You Back In 24 To 48 Hours!!!! Please Help

      The location is in Farmington Michigan, where the crime was committed. I'm 38 years old, and I have never seen a business run like this. These guys are robbing people with a wrench. My car was making some noise. I discovered I need a hub bearing on the passenger side of my vehicle, So I got the part and take it in. They said we will start first thing in the morning. The next I get a call with a $3800 quote. I said no way, I will pick my car up shortly. He said no let’s make this work. He quoted tires brakes the list goes on. I said I just wanted my hub installed. He said ok I know times are hard, I get it. $1300.I said, I just want the hub replaced. He said ok. Then he quoted $90. I said great because my hub was previously purchased. I get to the location to pick up the car the guy says what did he quote you? Now I know we got a problem. The price is the price, right? Then he comes back with the guy and the district manager. The guy said I quoted you $980. At this point, I’m in disbelief. The district manager wasn't any help, just kept saying this is a great deal. Sir, great for someone who authorized the purchase. So now I got three men, verbally bullying me. I just wanted a hub replacement. So I asked if could they put my parts back on my vehicle, and I would pay for the diagnostics. The owner's cousin I mean the district manager, said your parts are unsafe they can not be reinstalled. You have to come up with a payment.

      Do not take your car to this location, do not waste your time and money. My car had problems with the AC, I took it and they told me that it would be ready in three days. After 3 weeks I told them that I was taking it without having finished fixing it. Supposedly they ordered the same hose 4 times and received it wrong 4 times, the time was infinite. They gave me an estimate of $870 for changing two hoses and the day I went to pick it up, the initial estimate had changed to more than $1,000. In the end they charged me almost $500 for just changing one hose, telling me that it was getting cold, after a week the car started to lose cold because they never replaced the second hose even though they had it there for 3 weeks.

      I will never use you clowns again. Brought my car in for engine light on. $100.00 to diagnose it. Wanted almost $700.00 to fix it. Took it somewhere else. It was a bad spark plug. I will be wtiting a review on every social media outlet I have. And you post in your stores about integrity? That's a joke

      I ordered tires from pep boys from the Port Richey, Florida store back in May for tires. I showed up for my appointment and was told the tires never came in. I rescheduled. I showed up again and dropped my car off only to be called and told they were not the correct tires. So I had to wait for them to order the correct tires and then reschedule once again. They finally got the correct tires, and I brought my car in once again. They could not get the lug nuts off one of the tires and in turn damaged my rim.
      I never received a copy of the invoice for the correct set of tires or the refund for the difference in price (the correct tires were cheaper than the first set). I have been calling the store and the corporate office since early June and still have yet to receive the correct invoice or my credit of approximately 50-60 dollars. The tires came with a rebate, but I am unable to apply for the rebate because I do not have the correct invoice. I am being told the only solution is to pay again for the new tires and then wait for a refund which i am told refunds are processed only 2x a month. As you can imagine I am not comfortable paying again and hoping I get a refund in a timely manner or at all. And I should not have to pay for two sets of tires when I only have one. This has been going on for two months. Two of the customer service agents hung up on me when I called again on August 3rd.
