Don't use the buford hwy location in doraville ga I took my car there for two new tires and mind you the day before I took it to my regular ford dealership for a oil change and tire rotation so after everything was done everything checked out including my brakes. So the next day my tire was losing air pressure due to a puncture in the tire so I decided to take my car to pep boys and get both my rear tires replaced. Now here goes the crazy part they did there own inspection of the vehicle and again everything checked out good including the brakes. So I paid for the rear tires and left and only a few hrs later I heard a very loud grinding noise in the back where I got tires replaced at and come to find out my brakes were completely broken due to them overtorqing the tires so I brought back in and the guy named Chris tells me that it is no way that you can overtorqed which I thought was completely bs because I tried to losseen them myself and the bolts on the tires were so tight that I could barely get them off so now I have brakes that have been warped due to the tires being overtorqed. So they won't even admit that they overtorqed the tires due to the lack of experience in their shop so now I'm out of 550 because they couldn't even admit they warped my brakes even after they said my brakes were good to go on the day I brought my car in the first time to get those rear tires replaced I will never ever take my car back there again that was the last time that will happen. Also you need to reevaluate Chris as a manager because even if you having a bad day you don't talk about killing your workers because the day was so bad which made me feel very uncomfortable due to times we are in I don't take things like that lightly.

This has got to be the WORSE auto service repair on earth.!!! I don’t know how many times I went to one of the two locations near me and they always tell you, you need something and then you really don’t ( I never excepted it) I just let them write it down and then if I need it, I go somewhere else ) My son actually went to Pep boy’s location to get RECOMMENDED! Rotors and brake pads my son called and asked if he could bring his pads and rotors to them and have them put them on. They said yes so he went the next day… They put the pads on (we hope) but NEVER !!PUT THE ROTORS ON!! & WE have the receipt for the brake pads & the 2 rotors but they REFUSE to give the rotors or any of the money back. They need to at least give me back the price of the rotors $92.99 each.. x2($185.98+tax) After all the headaches, and back and forth lying to us they should be sued for a lot more. They are the worst Auto Repair In Business ..Total -ZERO stars..(but I have to pick at least 1 star for submission)??

If I could give zero stars I would. After holding my car for 11 days without update, I was told I needed a new flywheel, new clutch, new clutch master cylinder and new slave cylinder. All parts mentioned were replaced NEW in March of 2022 (another shop). The issue my car was brought in for was an unresponsive clutch. I declined the $2,787.53 quote for repair as I knew the parts mentioned were fine. I got the car back but had to pay $165.00 for something they called a Durability Issue ?? Anyway, my father came up, topped off the brake fluid reservoir (which is also for the clutch) and pumped the clutch several times to bleed and restore pressure.
Everything worked fine for a can of $6.99 brake fluid. At the best case, this is total incompetence for a repair shop mechanic and at the worst case is out and out fraud attempting to rip off a customer for almost $3,000! GO TO A REAL MECHANIC

Just left this Pepboy & went to my mechanic. How does this business have an A+ rating!?! Something is CLEARLY wrong here.
I had bought tires from here less than a year ago and after discovering a nail in front passenger tire I thought I would use the tire service that came with the purchase.
They proceeded to tell me the tire was unsalvageable and I would have to purchase a new one. Ha
At a prorated rate of $181.00, claiming that it was close to half off?! Uhm I do know how to do math and that was a flatout exaggeration of a reality I could calculate on the spot.
They also informed me my front passenger headlight was out and due to a short from water.
I voiced that I didn’t think it was feasible to need a completely new tire due to a small nail but they were insistent that it be replaced.
I decided to take it to my accredited mechanic down the road.
Fast forward at my trusted mechanics shop.
Can’t even find nail anywhere. When I called pepboys to ask if they took it out already they said NO we would never do that.. it probably just “popped out.”
Popped Out?, this nail that was Sooo deep it was unrepairable just popped out after driving a few miles down the road.
They sprayed the tire down at my shop to find a leak, redid the rim seal and replaced the BULB as there was no short happening in my headlight as I was told by pepboys, just a blown bulb. Cost me $75 dollars TOTAL verses potentially $500+
So disappointed & disheartened by businesses who aren’t honest and only out to make money off of people who clearly are struggling to meet ends meet.
Don’t go here. They will take you for whatever they can with no conscience.

Brought fiancés car in for inspection at North Huntington pep boys location, she told them she needed an oil change and there has been a leak. They inspected the car and told her she would need all new tires and an alignment too pass inspection, they did so and passed the car. They never did an oil change and there was a slight knocking noise that worried me. The car broke down completely 2 weeks after it passed the inspection. Not too mention the price of the service was $959.00 which they overcharged her.

Had my car inspected at Pep Boys Clairton Blvd Pittsburgh and even though the wheels were already off for the inspection they charged me $288 labor to replace brake pads on four wheels! There was a $35 'shopfee' for who knows what. They wanted me to replace my rotors for being rusty and when I looked at them the rust was miniscule and superficial where the pads made contact. Never again.

I went in for a free tire rotation (it's free when you purchase tires with them) and was told the tread is too worn to rotate and would have to purchase new tires. I purchased these tires 1 year prior with about 3k miles on them. I also could see the tread was not worn to a level that required replacement. I went across the street to Mavis and they rotated the tires (for $27) and said the tires are fine and has alot of miles left on them. The guys name at Pep Boys was Lou in the Elmont, NY location. He is a former Port Authority cop. Stay clear of him!!!

The service that I received was unacceptable. I took my vehicle in for a job that should have taken 2 days max. It took 3 weeks to complete. It didn't help that it was 2 weeks before it was even started. Then they tell me that they didn't receive the right parts. And for my troubles I get a 15 percent discount. I used to think I could trust taking a vehicle to Pep Boys but I don't think I will do that again.

Whatever you do, do NOT go to the Pep Boys in Annandale, VA. Service Manager does not tell the truth or follows through with any promises of follow-up, and his word is useless. I have reached out to him, store manament, field/regional management, even their CEO. NO ONE has ever responded to my concern/issue/complaint - obviously customer service is non existent in this organization. Service staff stated their service manager lies all the time, leaving his staff and customers to deal with all issues he creates and does not address. Must be a company policy from the top down. I will NEVER use, go back to Pep Boys going forward. After having spend over $1000+ for service then getting lied to throughout the ordeal. As an executive for a national mortgage company I certainly could share how we are able to handle customer complaints better that the entire Pep Boys organization - who's policy is to not address complaints, stick their head in the sand and hope they simply go away. This has been going on since the beginning of Nov '22. Pep Boys once a proud, trusted organization now it is not.

Oh boy, they can't even change oil in car there right any more, putting wrong oil in?
Causing more harm than good but their process actually very high end compare to their competence that's for sure, soon they will change & sell tires only like tire store not to do more harm than good to cars in the future! Weird trend and tendency there!
