      I brought my car to this location to have a diagnostic test for a check engine light and repair. They charged me $108 for the diagnostic test and quoted me $1500 for the repair. I then took my car to a local mechanic and had my car diagnosed and repaired for $185. Stay away from doing business with these crooks.. They need to be investigated and shut down.

      Wonderful experience at Roseville Pep Boys on Gratiot. Particularly Brian (Manager) and Blaise (Mechanic) were a pleasure to deal with. They are trustworthy and won't try to scam you for extra cash. My wife slid into a curb at low speed on Christmas and another shop tried to ream us for $8K, when in reality we only had a broken tie rod. I also chose to get four new tires, brakes, and an oil change because Brian and Blaise were so nice to deal with and they hooked me up with a good price. It's hard to find honest mechanics these days, so if you're looking for one, then look no further.

      Went in for free tire rotation and balance, and oil change. Was told I didn't buy my tires at Pep boys, manager told me he had assess to all Pep boys records and I could come around counter and see i was not in the computer. I assured him I did by my tires there and paid for lifetime rotation and balance. I then had to go to my truck and find my copy of receipt and show it to him. He then said he found me, yeah Right ( people keep your receipt.) Then tried to charge me double for a oil change and I told him to forget oil change. I don't really know if they did my rotation and balance or not it was only 30 minutes later they were done.then parked my truck far away from door in pouring rain, instead of pulling it to door like they always have before. And had pushed my right mirror out so I had to get out in rain to fix it. I told manager I knew all this was done on purpose! I'll never return to the south memorial parkway, Huntsville Alabama location again. I would leave no star if possible.Worst manager I've ever dealt with, needs to find a new job not in customer service.

      I have been going to Pep Boys for over 20 years and always had a good experience. I have definitely noticed a change since Covid. I had a problem with my ABS system and had them do a diagnostic exam. They came back with a diagnosis and an estimate of $2900. I choose to get a second opinion and it was determined that the Pep Boys solution was completely wrong and there was no way their solution could resolve the problem. For $600, the problem was resolved. Big difference! Speaking with a third mechanic (different issue), they confirmed that the Pep Boys solution didn't make sense. I called to get a refund of my diagnostic fee ($174) and was denied. Thank goodness I didn't pay the $2900 and I am extremely disappointed in the support I got from Pep Boys.

      I attempted to get 4 tires and an alignment. The work took over 8 hours to complete, and no one explained this before hand.
      ALL of my lug nuts were loose upon pickup. I was driving down the road after picking my vehicle up and I lost lug nuts. My wheel almost fell off. When I called to complain, the employee could have cared less. "Well, I guess you could bring it in." Bad service. The service manager was unprofessional. He referred to his employee's positive COVID tests as pregnancy tests that were positive.

      I scheduled an appointment to evaluate flat tire. Came on time and waited for 2 hours and had to quit.
      Never deal with these guys. It was Pep Boys in Dedham, MA

      I took my Van in to Pep Boys For Tires , Frontend alignment, an an oil change. The assistant manager said, you want the milage package, an I said what's that? He explained what it was. So I ask him, what did he thing. ( I highly recommend it because according to GM you haven't had it done.) I said Okay. then he called me and said that I need brakes, but I declined. Then the assistant manager said, (I wouldn't go too long because you really need it.) Three days later my Transmission went out. I called and explain what happened. They had it towed to the nearest Pep Boys. when checking it out and finding little medal shaving. The manager said (that's not good) I ask how would that happen. He said that ( Could have been cross thread). He told me to call the manager and tell him so he can start a claim. But when I called, the assistant manager answered the phone and would not let me speak to the manager. Started arguing with me. Telling me (that truck was mess up when you brought it in here, the oil was dirty, I cut your Filter open and it had shaving in it. I have it right here.) I ask him, oh so you still have my filter from 4 days ago. I had service on the Wednesday the 13th and it went out Friday night the 17th.

      My ****** Camry had slow leaking air on the tire, took the car to Pop's Boy #1702 at 845 Scenic Highway, Lawrenceville, GA. Meantime, had the oil changed. The technician said, no leaking of air on my tire, only cold weather caused the tire air pressure light to come on. After adding the air to the tire, the tire pressure light is still on. I asked the technician to check the air pressure sensor, he found two bad sensors.
      The next day, I measured the tire air pressure, and it dropped from 30 lbs to 20 lbs in one day. I took it back to Pop's Boy Auto Service, The Technician could not find the leak, so, replaced it with a new tire.
      The next day, I found a pot of oil on my garage floor. I took the car to the nearby Goodyear Auto Service, and they found the bolt on the oil pen was not tight, it leaked out the oil.
      How many stars will you give to this Pop's Boy Auto Service?

      My 2011 Toyota Sienna quit running on 13 Nov 2022 the morning we returned from a cruise and was towed to your facility by my road hazard insurance.
      I told the Pep boys counter person what had happened and that I was fairly sure it was the alternator. The engine diagnostic agreed. The counter person said that the battery was bad also, I explained that the battery was only 6 month old and should be able to be charged. He said it was bad and to work with him, I would not be charged for the diagnosis, rather than create a scene, I told him to replace the battery although I was 99% certain that the existing battery was still good.
      I was quoted an estimate of a few dollars over $1000. I told them to complete the work even though I knew the job should have been completed for half that amount.
      After several hours, I saw the van off the lift and parked outside. I went to see what was going on, the counter person said the work was completed. He gave me the amount for the work and it had jumped to over $1500, not the original $1000 I had been quoted. I told him I wanted to see the first estimate, but he didn't have it.
      I paid the money and left, I was too upset to talk to the counter person any more.
      The invoice includes PEPGUARD LIMITED EXTENDED LABOR WARRANTY for 100.96. I don't know what this is, I was not asked about it, nor do I want it. If pep boys gives you a quote and the invoice jumps $500, I can't afford to take a vehicle to them.

      If I could give no stars I definitely would . My friend bought me 4 new tires over 1,000 dollars . Paid on the phone and set me up an appointment for the next day . I go in they can’t find the order even after I told them he had paid . Asking me do I have the right store am I sure he paid etc . Half hour before the go in the back and say oh he paid already that’s why it’s not in the system (no communication) I get my tires on and before I pull off it’s a light on something about traction . I didn’t come in with a light on ! I tell them , they check it the light won’t go off . They tell me (and this is what made me really mad ) they told me ride it for a day and if it doesn’t go off bring it back! Wth ! Y’all telling me leave after y’all did something wrong. I work a lot and don’t even have the time to be running back and fourth when the problem should have been fixed before I left for over one thousand dollars the freely took so they should have freely fixed my car while I was still there ! Now my car driving crazy as heck and I have to take time out of my day to go back and be in inconvenienced and what if my car just stopped on my way to work or something. While I’m waiting to see if the light goes off . I’ll never come back to this place after they get my car back together before it breaks down in the street! Don’t come to this place they don’t care at all about your safety or well being if they just tell you to leave after they created a problem!
