The service advisory called me for money to pay the mechanic. He said the week was ending he want to pay him even without closing out the ticket. I was asked to pay the labor fees of my car repairs in cash. I refused and called my car insurance and also let the manager know. I shouldn't have to pay their employees directly. I am still waiting on corporate to return my call.

While traveling my vehicle wouldn't stay running, had towed to Norfolk pep boys $1423.44 later vehicle was still not running and I was told to take it elsewhere. Had towed to another shop where it cost me $1080.96 to be repaired. Pep boys put in fuel pump and filters and the problem was a broken spark plug and vacuum leak

Horrible no accountability October 25th came in to get my window on drivers side fixed. I was told it was out of alignment they charged me $600+ for parts and labor. And as of December 2nd window came out of alignment again this time it sunk so far in the car it left a huge scratch on the window itself which is also cracked. Supervisor claims there’s no way to know if that’s a result of the regulator… the brand new Regulator that’s they are saying is again bad. Had it been done right the first time I wouldn’t need a new window which they are refusing to cover. It hasn’t even been a full 2 months. Highly unprofessional to charge that amount so shoddy work and just say oh well your fault. Beware of taking any vehicles here. To make matter worth the car theft rate is at an all time high because of their shoddy work I am not missing out on job opportunities because the car has to be fixed again and I have no transportation not to mention it’s raining. I took the car to be looked at as soon as opened at 8 it sat in the rain waiting to be serviced until 10 again window does not roll up. They will sit and play on the phones and wait while you are waiting to be serviced worse pep boys in the city never bringing my car again because nobody should have to spend $600 for that type of bullshit service. To make it worse they completed An customary inspection yet they are unsure if the window was damaged by something else. They have to take the door apart to look… but somehow they know it’s a bad regulator which again they have to take the door apart…. So how do you know I need a new regulator but you can’t see what caused the damage. Small claims court loading I shouldn’t have to pay this or be inconvenienced

Totally incompetent. Their "brake inspection" is a joke. They put on brakes and never mentioned we needed calipers too so one day later the old calipers messed up the brake job and one day later we needed new brakes. Even though it was their oversight they didn’t cover any of the second job. They also found the brake line was bad, but they missed that the first time too. Our neighbor had problems there as well. They cannot do a front end alignment either, they’ll send you to a different location for that. This place should not even be open for business

Used to be my go to place for parts for my ten vehicles. Service department has always been rude and deceitful. I bought a battery there in June of ‘21 and called to see if I could get it replaced with the 30 month warranty. I was told no receipt, no exchange. I don’t keep receipts for years. I guess I’m stuck. Place ought to just shut down.I’ve got a bad battery with a 30 month warranty and I’m stuck. Unfortunate.

I had my air conditioning repaired and received a suggestion to replace my rear brakes. They said they were very worn and not to wait too long or they would be metal on metal. After exposing the brakes myself it turns out that the ware is very minimal and replacement was far from needed. This makes me wonder about the need to replace the condenser for the air conditioner repair they did. They said a rock broke the housing.

Pep boys on 637 Sahara Ave in Las Vegas is an absolute fraud with no integrity. I turned my van into pep boys to replace my engine for flood damage through my insurance. The management did not do a full diagnostic and reported that I only had a ceased engine with no electrical problems even though my head rest activated. Manager and crew were either fired, quit or let go. New management and crew cut parts off my van and tried to return it to me. Then they took parts off new engine and replaced them with parts from old engine and was caught admitting it on video phone. Finally put engine back together to find out I had electrical problems that they tried to barely fix. Long story short. They had my van for 3 months and now I have a van with no antenna or am/fm, my AC doesn’t turn on for over a minute after I unlock it. My head rest still is activated and not fixed. I’m missing screws to hold stuff down. They owed me money for rental for over 1 month. I called complaint line, still nothing. Manager that I have on video promising to fix everything just lied. They stalled me with filing a claim on my van because they admitted on video that they should’ve never took my van and that it should’ve went to a dealership to be fixed. Now they are telling me to turn it in to a dealership for diagnostic but they’re more than likely not gonna take liability for any outcome. This has brought so much stress upon my family because I’m not sure if my van is gonna break down on the highway while my family is in the car. Pep boy’s management told me good luck on finding any lawyers to take on this case. Absolutely disgusting!!!!!!!!!!!

The worst and I mean WORST experience EVER!! I initially went in for a slow leak on my tire. It’s been needing air every other day or so I decided to bring it here because I had purchased from there and figured the tire would probably still be under warranty. I got there at 1:15pm. I saw 2 others in front of me and maybe 3 or 4 cars in the bay area. I thought it shouldn’t be too long since nobody was there and they were just checking a tire. 3 hours went by. I realized how long I had been there because my phone battery went from 80% to 30%. After 3 hours 30 minutes the sales associate (couldn’t get his name because nobody there where’s name tags) tells me there was a pin in my tire and I’ll need a new tire. I asked how much for a new tire and he says $200 for a brand I have never heard of. Just to be clear, I had 2 Pirelli tires from Sam Club. Only reason I went to Pep Boys is because Sams Club only had 2 in stock and didn’t have a date of when a new order will arrive. I understand I needed a new tire but at that price I knew I could get a better quality, better brand, and cheaper price. I told the sales associate I’ll pass. About 10 minutes later the guy working on my car drove to the front with a flat tire. I asked him how am I supposed to drive a car with a flat?! He says “that’s what they told me to do”. At this point I knew from the lack of service I decided there wouldn’t be much help from here on. Even management was nonchalant with customers. I asked the sales associate if they could put my spare on the car. He was really about to let a customer drive an unsafe car. Never will I ever step foot in this establishment again.

I send two of my vehicles for service in Spring. They had some fliers there that offered a $100 credit card if I open a Pep Boys credit card and spend more than $1000. I spent more than that on each vehicle and opened two credit cards (one for myself and one for my wife). To this day, I never received any credit. The shot says it is the bank, the bank says it is the shop. I gave up trying to get that money but I will never use Pep Boys again.

I would push my car to the other side of a major city to avoid Pep Boys. My family was planning to move to another state and I needed a trailer hitch installed on our van. I called my local Pep Boys and asked the representative if they could do this. He told me they no longer sold the parts, but if I had a direct fit hitch they could install it, as they no longer are "allowed" to cut into the car body to force a fit.
Fine enough. I purchase a hitch elsewhere and ring Pep Boys back up for the install. When I arrive for my appointment, the employee I speak to looks at me like I came in attempting to order a cake or get a haircut. He tells me they haven't done hitch installations for ten years and, further, sees no appointment in my name.
Baffled, I check the confirmation text I received. The link leads me to a message that at some unknown point, my appointment was cancelled. Without reason given or any attempt to alert me. Should I have obsessively checked the link like a thirsty dating app user waiting for a reply?
I needed to pick up my trailer two days later. Luckily, I found an independent mechanic who could squeeze me in.
I'll never forget being outright LIED TO and stealth-cancelled by Pep Boys. How'd they even schedule an appointment for a service they don't provide? Support your local independent tradesfolk.
