      I got a diagnostic done here and was quoted 1100. I waited to get my paycheck and I came back but before I brought the car back I called and asked for the price again and was told 1100 so I drove the car to the shop and had friend follow me. When I got there I was told 1600 now. I mentioned the 1100 I was told last week as well as over the phone and the guy wouldn’t listen, he was also rude. I asked for a manager and he said he is the manager. I told him I’m going to leave a review and he just said “Okay”.
      I forgot to get his name but he’s young maybe still in his 20s, skinny and Mexican with a Jerry curl as of right now. I’ve been coming to this pepboys a few times since I was told this was the only pepboys that does certain repairs and each time I have gotten not so good experience, I let the past few times go but this one I did not. PEPBOYS this guy will ruin your business trust me!
      His name is Alex I believe and he is saying he is the store manager and looks like all of the other negative reviews are because of this guy.

      They are a SCAM they we’re supposed to fix my AC they just changed the highest part in which was the AC compressor which I didn’t need that cost me $1100 back in may I’ve took my car back 3 times afterwards and also to another location that didn’t want to work behind that location I tried to get a refund and here I am six months later with no AC still and still no refund

      Pep Boys, Beverly, NJ - not even worth 1 star! Customer service and poor or no auto service has been a horrible waste of time & money. Stay far, far away!!!

      I came to get a wheel bearing replacement on the driver side swapped out since the car was rattling. The only dashboard light per the inspection was the tire pressure sensor. I can tell it was a rush job because I picked up my car towards closing and I have my “ABS” and “TCS OFF” lights on the dash.
      In my opinion, it should be a final check to turn the car on to make sure it’s good to go with dash lights that weren’t previously there.
      Instead the mechanic showed me no pride in their work to follow through, since they drove it to the parking lot with the dash lights on. instead of checking if maybe just maybe in your rush you neglected to plug back the speed sensor.
      I’m not one to make a big deal about things and I had already setup an appointment for tires. I had indicated to Daniel that we can just remedy that on my appointment yesterday. I neglected to remind the staff of that issue and it seems like regardless of appointments being set online this office hasn’t a clue about them. I was told to come in which Daniel gave me horrible customer service. Which makes sense, he didn’t have his Manager there to handle his job. He always goes to his leadership because clearly he isn’t being properly trained.
      This is quite frankly inexcusable and has not been my experience in the past. But it is my experience now.
      I feel as a customer that I am just a dollar sign and not someone who depends on their vehicle.
      I’m not sure what quality control process Pep Boys has, but it’s not being followed if it exists.
      And I still have these lights on due to negligence by staff.  Either Pep Boys accommodates the schedule for this issue or Pep Boys pays for a third party more capable to do it.
      We as customers come to Pep Boys to solve problems, not create them. Per the email communication I was to call and I received no help there and was hung up on. When I asked to speak with a Supervisor I was denied 3 different times.

      I took my porscheon to have the engine filter changed they refused to order the parts. I made an appointment then when I went in they had not ordered the parts. I called to see if they had ordered the parts they would not return my phone call. Previous to this I took my Dodge Nitro in for an oil change. There were spots of oil on my driveway I checked and it was the oil plug that was leaking. I took it into Carlos he refused to look at it. He started an argument so I would leave. I am never seen someone so angry who was in a customer service role. He said he was not going to let anyone treat him like a dog excuse me animal.

      Visited the location on Mississippi and Peoria due to the coolant temperature high light and service engine light being on. I was told that the car needed a new engine and that it would cost $10k to replace.
      My father owned an auto shop for many years and I have never heard of an engine costing this much.
      Took the car to another shop and turns out I don’t need a new engine. The car is running great according to this other shop.
      I am so disappointed and frustrated with this pep boys and the “service” provided. The person we dealt with was extremely short any time we talked on the phone and didn’t take the time ever answer questions. Seemed like he just wanted to get us out of there and didn’t want to do the work. And then to find out a new engine is actually not needed, we could have spent $10k that was not necessary.
      I highly suggest you take a look at what is happening at this location and make some changes before you are sued due to lemon laws or anything else.

      Do your research on prices for services seeking at this place. The place is capable of robbing you blind and have no qualms about old/uninformed customers.
      foe example,
      $1015 + Tax for brakes pad and rotor replacement?
      $500 + Tax for oil pan and gasket replacement. --this all at pepboys Fairless Hills
      well ignorance is bliss --found that these are robbery prices--
      Later found the dealer would be happy to do brakes for 900 and another service station quoted 800
      As for pan, it is text book price gouging
      .

      I took my car to get a refund on my tires or change out for new ones seeing they were wearing before the warranty, they add a bunch of parts needed replace only to take my car to my mechanic for them to tell me nothing is wrong needless to say I will never go to pepboys again I urge anyone else to avoid them like the plague they will try to get as much money off as they can

      If I could give this place zero stars I would. They have damaged my rims to my vehicle and have now taken action into repairing them at another business. They have had my rims for why of 2 weeks now and I have been paying for a rental vehicle since this has happened. I am extremely stressed out and losing money from my own pockets because of this poorly handled business and technician.
