Hi, purchased items and payed for them this company wouldn't allow me to pick up my items, they refused to give them to me and tack on all kind of fees, that were not disclosed. The company isn't honest, i will never purchase from them again. I want my refund asap. They were very nasty to me as well.Initial Complaint

Purchased a HP 15.6-inch 15-dy5131wm Laptop PC from M@C Discount on 1/29/2024. It did not have a Laptop AC Adapter Charger,. Though it is an open box policy the description reads "Tested POWERS ON which means it would have laptop adaptor power source. Picture shows computer on with power source. Plug is a Laptop AC Adapter Charger for HP not just a power plug. They stated that it was their plug which means they have various laptop plugs on hand. Since it is an auction company they would not have their own computer parts.Initial Complaint

I bided on a pallet. They have a listing of things in the pallet. At least 50 items they had listed in pallet was not in the pallet. We took pictures of the list on our phone. Since getting pallet they removed the list but my husband took pictures of what was suppose t be in box. When we got the pallet they loaded on our truck. We thought the things were at the bottom. There was suppose to be a lot of recessed lights in box. There was none!Initial Complaint

Purchased multiple items over the past couple of weeks from M@C discount. I understand that there is an amount of risk in purchasing from this organization. In the past, I've purchased items that were not as represented -- for example, what was advertised as a wool rug is in fact 100% polyester or a different rug that looked nothing like what was advertised. M@C clearly states that it's up to the buyer to inspect the item at their facility.
The items I have purchased recently go beyond the pale of what was advertised and what I received. Just this week, I purchased 2 bottles of carpet cleaner and I received TWO EMPTY BOTTLES. I purchased an air fryer and, when I plugged it in to use it, my kitchen filled with smoke from the grease. I did open the oven compartment before using it and it looked clean. I didn't look at the roof of the oven compartment to see that it was grease stained.
Today takes the cake. I purchased what was advertised as "Denver Bar Cabinet by Dutchbone." Dutchbone is a high-end furniture brand with a Scandinavian feel. What I received when I opened the box was an AQUARIUM STAND. I don't currently have fish nor do I aspire to own an aquarium.
I now have to haul this box back to M@c to get my money back, but they likely won't refund it. In all honesty, when M@C first came to town in 2022, it was a fine place to purchase used items. I have spent more that $2,000 there in the past few years and have found some good values. I understand that they may be used or somehow flawed, and it's not somewhere I would buy pillows or underwear. At this point, their volume has reached a point that they cannot ensure any level of quality or integrity in their products as they are mispresenting themselves more frequently than not.Initial Complaint

My first time ever making a purchase with this company. I bought items at an auction on 1/21/24. They said they had problems with payment even though my checking account would easily cover $280. The only thing I can assume, is that my bank seen them as a shady business and blocked them. So instead my wife paid them with her venmo on 1/23/24 with $15 of late fees added. Never once did we see the items were ready for pickup in the awaiting pickup tab where it lets me know that I can get my stuff. This is the only place that lets me know that I can pick my stuff up. They said that they sent me an email but because they are a shady company it went straight to my spam and I never seen it. I made the purchase on their website. I got all of my information from their website. I did the auction on their website. I made the payment on their website. I waited to see the items were in queue and ready for me to pick up on their website and it never said so. Today I inquired as to why they never went in into queue. I was then told that my items were abandoned as of yesterday the day after I paid for them and they are keeping my $280. My first time doing business with these people and they tell me that I should have known that the items were waiting in their warehouse. Even though they did not follow their process and put it in the awaiting pickup tab. This is where I was told to look for my items. I spoke with customer service. Then I I spoke, supposedly, with the manager; who was very rude and condescending. When I inform them that I was going to start recording audio because I wanted to get on record that they were fully aware that they never put it in the awaiting pickup tab. He said he had to hang up. They simply let me know they were keeping my money. All that I am asking for is the items that I paid for or my money back. I do not think that I am being unreasonable for asking for the items that I paid for.Initial Complaint

i have purchased several items that are completely damaged and missing parts, the label is only listed as open box but not damaged, one item was labled as open box but when we opened it there was a damaged lable on it but it was covered by another box,Initial Complaint

I made several purchases that said " open box." The items inside when opened were nothing but trash that is not salvageable much less sellable. If they didn't have a "damaged" catagory, perhaps it would be better received, and a chance you take.
Two items, one 3.95 and the other 29.00 plus all their fees was non fixable!!
Then I drove over 150 miles round trip to pick up chairs. Luckily I opened them in Monroeville only to find they were not the chairs i had bid on and couldn't use them. they are sending a refund minus the transfer fee of 5.00. They offered nothing for their mistake and my cost of getting there and back home!
They tack on extra fees so what you bid is not what you pay! They should not be allowed to take from consumers in the manner in which they do business. They need to inspect their items and trash those items that belong in the garbage instead of selling them!
I would like a full refund and some compensation for driving 150 miles to find the wrong merchandise!Initial Complaint

On Wednesday, January 17th, 2023 I proceeded to M@C Bid Location to pick up items that were previously purchased and paid for. Those items had a dead line of 1/17/23 to be picked up. Due to the holiday, I had my days confused and thought it was Tuesday and thought the location was open till 7:00pm. I arrived at 6:25pm and the door was open and lights were on. I proceeded to enter and found the place to be empty. I stayed at the door and waited for assistance. A manager arrived and informed me that they were closed. I then realized my mistake and asked if there was anything I could do to still receive my items. He attempted to put the items on hold but was unable to do so. I took the lose, apologized for the confusion, and left. The following day I left a 2 star review aimed towards the hours to try and see if corporate would look into extending their hours. They then placed a “PERMANENT BANNED” on my account and refunded my membership. I reached out to them to find out how I got banned via email and phone call and the customer service lady informed me that it was due to “actions the night before.” I was very confused because nothing negative had happened. The lady on the phone stated that the manager reported that I was using profanity and was very irate and aggressive. I apologized and told the lady that this must be a mistake and she said that I could go to the location and talk to the manager. I proceeded to go to the location and the manager agreed that that was not what happened and apologized. He then went and called his boss and had a phone conversation in the back. He came back and apologized again, informed me that he was having someone collect the other items I had already paid for, but there was nothing he could do because it was the “higher ups” that reported this. I asked him to have them check the cameras, etc and he said he could see what he could do but there wasn’t much he was able to. He gave me the paid for items out of kindness.Initial Complaint

I placed a bid on 2 items that were listed as box opened not damaged. The hoverboard looked like someone took a hammer to it. It was in several pieces and the circuit board had wires sticking out. This item cannot be used at all. I would have never bid on it knowing it was unusable and a safety hazard. The lamp I purchased had glass scattered all over the inside of the box. This could have really hurt someone. Again I would have never purchased this item if it had said damaged. On the website there are items clearly marked damaged and these were not. When I asked the gentleman what he could do he said nothing and to file a complaint.Initial Complaint

Purchased product knowing it was an open box. Was stated in the description. The seller did not state that this was a box 2 of 2 in description. This product can not be put together because it is missing box 1 of 2. Had the purchaser been informed this was missing a box it would not have been purchased.
