During the last 2 minutes of their bid they would pad their bids and going against their policy of bidding underneath the 2 minute mark.

We are not quite sure what the actual complaint is here. We have a program set up to prevent bid sniping. If someone bids inside of 2 minutes, the clock automatically resets to 2 minutes. This is to ensure everyone has a fair shot at winning the item. All of our regular auctions start at just $1 and the customers set the price from there. Thank you.Customer Answer

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]
This is towards the business. Well for starters start banning people who start bid snipping cause it happens multiple times and each time it goes stops at my amount of bid and then it’ll start to seem like someone is bid padding which is a punishable offense by court of law. In my photos that I have placed on the complaint shows no action between 4hours to 2hours and half mark where it shows the current bid goes straight to my bid and stops then at the 21 minute mark I raise my bid up to $8 then during the 2 minute mark it was a constant increase by $1 dollar each time it gone up which tells me someone is continually raise the bid during the 2 minute mark instead of bidding being locked once it hits 2 minutes but I digressed I guess you can’t even get a 92% deal on a Bidding area.

I am very uoset at the way mac conducts buis ess i got in on an auction for a computer the auction shiwed several images of the product it showed the product complete and hoocjed up with several photos of the item working clearly someone took the time tk take so many beautiful pictures to show. I yhen decided to bid i followed the auction right diwn to the ending time i was the only bidder on this item i bid a max bid of $2O.00 the auction posted a 1 dollar bid on ng behalf like it should but when the auction timmer ran out and I'm rightfully won the item meraculously it qas pulled and i was told that the lroduct description was wrong so i personaly went there and spoke to a supervisor who the was very rude and would give me no explanation. I said it was my opinion that eithe A: an employee wantsd it or B: they did t get the price that they were hoping for so they pulled it . I was told thats not true but the supervisor slipped up and said the the item would be back up in the next auction so therefor i was correct they eanted more money for the item wich is complete crap i won thisbitem fair and square no exeptions yhey eefused to honor this. I do not believe that the item was described wrong because they took the time to post several nice photos of said item so at what point after the pictures we taken and the auction was started underway did they all of a suddon think it qas describes wrong it should have not been even touched after auction started thise pictures were taken to sell an item bottom line and at the end of the day that jtem should have gone home with me this is unacceptable buisness. I feel there is some wrong doing on mac discounts end with crooked practices all k wanted was the item i bid on fair and squair i get the feeling this place is some what scammish and if this doesnt get resulved the propper way i will have no choice but to move forward with legal actions i jave putchase several items and have not had an issue up umtill this point this was just not somwthing i can just ignore how ma y itver ppl have rhey done this too its wrong and i hole its found to be illegal as well the right thing to do when i went to discuss this was to hive me the item i bid onInitial Complaint

I bid on a pallet. There were 2 pallets in the picture. When I went to the Washington warehouse to pick up the man brought out only 1 pallet. I told him there should be 2 pallets. He insisted only 1 pallet. I asked him about the 8 man tent and he said it was on the bottom because it was heavy and items were packed around it. Well it was not in the pallet, and not in the warehouse.
I have bought pallets and if you don’t want something you can leave it and anyone can take it. I would never leave a 8 man tent, I bid on the pallet for the tent to give to the cub scouts in my area.
I feel someone there wanted the tent and that’s why they never brought the 2nd pallet out.
By rights both pallets should have come out together as 1 order. But they lied to keep the other half of my pallet.
And there were other items as well on that pallet.Initial Complaint

On Wednesday, August 30th, I picked up 2 Air Fryers that I won bids on from M@c Discount. This company added on fees that I was not aware after the bid was won. They false advertised these products as open box when they are severely used and broken. They have cooked on grease, a broken door handle on one and soiled loose parts inside a zip loc bag.
I contacted Mac Bids via email the same day and asked how to return. They said I can return if I purchased buyers assurance at the time of the purchase or purchase a membership and maybe able to return with the membership. I did not have assurance and will not sign up for a membership.
I have reported Mac Bids to the attorney general. Because I did this they cancelled my account. I do not care about my account being cancelled because I would never shop with them again. Nevertheless, it is unprofessional to cancel someone’s account because your company was reported. I wish I would have searched this company before I purchased and I would have seen they were fraudulent because it’s all over the internet.Initial Complaint

My wife purchased a tumbling mat and when we hot it home it was a roller barrel. She purchased the buyers assurance and they wouldn't take it back. They had pictures of another product that had a pump, also clearly not a tumbling mat and used that as their excuse to nor return it. The item was wrong, and the package had no pump in it. The buyers assurance clearly states "no questions asked" and they wouldn't return an item the lied about.Business Response

This complaint is a little misleading. The customer here failed to mention that the lot they picked up matched all of the numbers listed on the auction listing. Now, if the product is wrong as it relates to the listing, we do typically issue the refund as long as a manager on duty warrants it as such. The Buyer's Assurance does guarantee a return 5 business days from the date of pickup, no questions asked, for the full item that is purchased. Like many others establishments, to do a return, we do need the full item returned to us before a refund can be issued. The inventory pictures, in this case, showed a pump with the lot that was listed. The customer tried to do a return without the pump at first. This return was, as procedure dictates, denied. When the spouse came back with a pump, the refund was granted. We do not believe that is it not within reason to ask for everything back before a refund is granted. Given all of this information, we are still very sorry the customer feels this way. Thank you.Initial Complaint

I purchased an entire lot of gloves from Mac discount in Washington Pa. They charged me a $3 lot fee per box rather than charging me one singular $3 lot fee for the entire lot. The website states the fees as follows:
Fees:
All winning bidders will be charged a 15% Buyers Premium and a lot fee of $3.00.
No indication of a $3 fee per item within the same lot is made. They charged me a total of $303 for a lot fee for this item.Business Response

The auction that this customer is referring to is our "Turbo Clock" auctions. Our Turbo auctions run different compared to our regular auctions. In the Turbo auctions, the items start at retail price and drop $1 every 2 seconds. Being these auctions move fast, and there is a high quantity of the same item, we have them as one lot. What the customer is failing to mention is that each item is assigned its own unique numerical identifier in our system.
This customer is also failing to mention, that they have bid on and won multiple Turbo items before the one in question. This would signal to us that the customer has an understanding on how our Turbo Clock auctions operate.
If there are every any questions, customers are always able to reach out to our customer service department. Customer service is always happy to answer any questions a customer may have. Thank you.

I have bid on and understand how the turbo clock orders work. I bid on 100 boxes of gloves ALL UNDER LOT 1058 and Auction ************* I bid and won 100 boxes of gloves out of 500 from lot 1058 at $5 per box. The total comes to $500, and a $300 lot fee was added to that. The description in the auction policies on their website is as follows; Fees:
All winning bidders will be charged a 15% Buyers Premium and a lot fee of $3.00. No mention of a lot fee being charged per single item within one lot number. My lot fee for the 100 boxes of gloves all bought under lot # 1058 should be $3, not $300. I spoke with Chasidy and Madison from MAC, and they both declined to help and even threaten to suspend my account should I pursue a chargeback for my money.

We would ask the customer then why is this complaint warranted? To their own admission, they stated they understand how the Turbo Clock auctions work. We would also ask if every item had the same item identification number or were they all different. In our system, each box of gloves had their own identification number. Thank you,Customer Answer

500 boxes of gloves were posted under lot #1058 on the Mac app. I purchased 100 boxes from lot #1058 at $5 per box. The fees section of the website is listed as follows:
Fees:
All winning bidders will be charged a 15% Buyers Premium and a lot fee of $3.00.
Considering all boxes were listed under the same lot # 1058 and under the same auction being sold as a bundle, the lot fee should be $3 for the entirety of the 100 boxes that I purchased. Had I purchased them separately from separate auction I understand the lot fee being $3 for each different auction. The lot fee within an auction for products that are being sold together in large quantities should be a flat rate. It also says nowhere on your terms of conditions that there is a $3 lot fee PER ITEM. Fees:
All winning bidders will be charged a 15% Buyers Premium and a lot fee of $3.00.

We would like to stress, again, this customer has bid on turbo items prior to this. We have Turbo invoice record from 09/05/23, 09/06/23, and 09/12/23. This would signal to us that this customer would know how our Turbo auctions operate and that each item has it's own unique identification number. If customers ever have any questions prior to bidding, especially if they are not clear on something, they are always more than welcome to reach out to our customer service department. We have running these Turbo Auctions for a while now and nothing has changed. Again, we are sorry the customer feels this way.Customer Answer

[I can no longer login to view my purchase history to show that all the gloves had the same identification number being 1058 shown on the website. The website clearly states a lot fee of $3. This is deceiving and you are hiding fees and tricking customers into paying extra money. Extremely poor business practices and ethics. I will cease doing business with this company and make sure to educate as many people as possible on the poor business practices of Mac. ]

Date of the Transaction: September 5, 2023
Amount Paid to the Business: $862.42
What the Business Committed to Provide: Delivery and shipment of 8 units of sofas (Invoice #5407033)
Nature of the Dispute: Non-collection of the purchased items, contradictory statements, and unresolved issue
Business's Attempt to Resolve the Problem: Minimal effort with conflicting statements
Account/Order/Tracking Number: Invoice #5407033
To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to file a formal complaint against M@C Discount regarding a transaction that occurred on September 5, 2023. I believe it is necessary to bring this matter to your attention due to the significant issues I have encountered with the business's handling of my purchase.
On September 5, I engaged in a business transaction with M@C Discount, involving the purchase of 8 units of sofas, as detailed in Invoice #5407033. I paid a total amount of $862.42 for this transaction, with the expectation that the business would provide the following:
The timely collection and shipment of the 8 units of sofas from their Pennsylvania location to my address in Minneapolis, Minnesota, within a mutually agreed-upon timeframe.
However, the nature of the dispute I am now facing is as follows:
The purchased items were not collected on time, despite my prompt coordination with the carrier, JB Hunt, and the payment of the pro forma delivery fees.
Contradictory statements and actions from both M@C Discount and the carrier, JB Hunt, have left me confused and frustrated regarding the reasons for the non-collection of the items.
M@C Discount's response to my attempts to resolve the issue has been minimal, with no concrete efforts to address the problem satisfactorily.
I would like to note that I have made multiple attempts to resolve this matter directly with M@C Discount, but their lack of cooperation and conflicting statements have hindered any progress toward a resolution.
M@C Discount insists that the items were abadoned yet the email evidence and sequence of events proves the contrary.
To facilitate your investigation and review of this complaint, I have provided the account/order/tracking number relevant to this transaction: Invoice #5407033.
I kindly request that the Better Business Bureau intervenes in this matter to help achieve a fair and prompt resolution. Given the circumstances and the monetary value involved, I believe it is imperative for an impartial party to assess the situation and ensure that M@C Discount takes appropriate accountability for their actions or inactions.
I appreciate your attention to this complaint and look forward to your assistance in resolving this matter satisfactorily. Please feel free to contact me at 612 9464274 f you require any further information or clarification.
Thank you for your time and assistance.Initial Complaint

I purchased a Dewalt 21.5in mower on September 10, 2023, from Akron. Under description it states "Battery and Charger included". The mower did not come with the battery, but did come with the chargers. The batteries are are very expensive and increase the value of the mower, thus resulting in a higher sale price. It is shameful to state something is included, when it is clearly not. They claim to open the box and inspect the product so they would clearly know the battery was not there. This practice of lying about what is "include" to inflate the price is illegal and misleading. There were other parts missing, but this was advertised as open box and can be expected. The issue is they clearly stated in the description the battery was included, which it was not. Poor business practice.Initial Complaint

Bought a dehumidifier from Mac.bid. Got home , plugged it in….nothing! It does not even start up! Called manufacturer customer support , they determined it was junk. Mac.bid wont refund! Even craigslist free section will tell you it’s for parts only if it literally does not work! Is it even legal for them to sell things that do not work and should be for parts only?
