      My original complaint was. “I bid on an orbital sander. I won with the highest bid on 9/27/2022. My highest max bid was for $10. I watched the auction all the way to the end and the highest bid was $2. I took 2 screenshots of it later and it still said $2! I looked later that evening and it still said $2. I checked this morning and it said $6 plus all their fees. I called and sent proof on my end and they wouldn’t make good because they claim someone bid at the last minute. Even though it never registered on the app or the website! They should have made good on it since it was in no way, shape, or form, my fault not my internets fault like they kept claiming. It’s unfortunate they weren’t willing to give it to me for what it closed for yesterday evening. It’s bad business and a lot of people are waking up to it. I’ve never had the issue with them before but have seen others complain about it. Too bad, but they lost another customer.”
      I then woke up this morning to see my account was suspended and the items I won and paid for and paid for shipping, I am no longer getting! I find that absurd and even worse business practice than before. Their respond made no sense at all and there isn’t more to any story! If they had read my initial complaint, then would have understood how to respond to it! Hours after the auction closed, it said TWO DOLLARS! It had nothing to do with my internet. I called because I assumed it was a glitch in the system. Instead I was told it was my internet causing the glitch. I watched the timer go off and it had been refreshed many times and even the web browser stated $2. So how was it my app? It must be their system like the owner said was causing a problem and it wasn’t fixed like he thought. Thanks again for screwing me over and not allowing me to have my product I PAID FOR! I’d like my items I paid for. So here we are, another complaint.

      In response to this complaint, I would say that the bidder did place a maximum bid of $10 for the item. Again, that would signal to me that is the maximum amount the bidder was willing to pay. If there is so much as a small drop in data or internet service it can cause the communication from our app to not be current being how fast the bidding process goes on especially towards the end of auctions. We always recommend our users to refresh and check their connections before any auction closes. After checking the bid history this customer put in a max bid of $10 around 1:30 pm on 9/27. Our auctions typically do not start closing until 6pm or after. This customer did have time to adjust her max bid if they so chose and she wasn't willing to pay $6. They were also a subscribing monthly member with us with a return available. She could have just asked customer service to return this item for her and they would have done so without even needing to pick up the item. Her money would have been returned in full. In regards to suspended accounts, any items still active on a suspended account are refunded in full. This customer does have one item transferring to a different location and once it arrives it will be refunded as well. I would ask, if we are as bad as this customer claims to be, why would she still want her account active and would she want any items from us? This customer still had options, and we would have worked with them in regards to those options. Thank you.

      I tried to pay for my auction item but there was an issue with their card processing system. I called my bank, all was fine with my card. I spoke with someone at the business who said to delete Mt card and add it again which I attempted but could not do because it wouldn't allow me to do so. The rep was rude, and offered no other assistance. I will never buy from them again.

      This is not an accurate repsresentation of the situation at hand. The customer had her payment declined through her bank due to a fund issue with her card on file. The customer then tried to make the payment many times through our system and then was blocked due to an increased risk of fraud. The customer did reach out to customer service and customer service did inform them of the siuation at hand. The customer needed to settle this between themselves and our partner payment system. Our partner did request information from us which we sent via email. It would be techincally in their hands to get the situation resolved. We did what we could to help this customer.

      This company is very shady! They charged me 65 dollars to hold items I've already purchased and then "abandoned" 2 of my items anyway to resell to someone else! They do not want to help you or see you get anything for good deal on fact it's quite the opposite. I'm actually going to file a lawsuit against them for fraud. Please get this company closed down! Times are tough for so many right now and we don't have funds to deal with shady thieves..

      When items are purchased in our liquidation auctions, the winning bidder has 3 business days to claim the items.  This is made clear to all bidders prior to bidding.  It is also on the payment receipt.  In addition, all bidders receive an electronic notification the morning of the last day of removal.  In short, there is nothing "shady" about following the rules of the auction.  Items that are not claimed by the Removal Deadline are considered Abandoned.

      Bid on a vacuum at the Boardman location that was NOT listed as damaged or broken. Took it home and it doesn't work at all, completely useless and a waste of money. Went to the warehouse and was basically informed there was nothing they could do and I'm SOL. So mac bid gets to keep all your money while KNOWINGLY selling you garbage. This company is run by greedy scammers who don't care about their customer base. All they want is MONEY. They will cover their butts with their TOS. So you know what the best solution to that is? DONT PURCHASE FROM MAC BID! Don't support this scamming company! The owner comes on here and responds by telling people to "not rant online" LOL. Isn't that what reviews are for? Are we not allowed to be angry that we essentially paid for broken merchandise without any possibility of getting our money back? Anyone who tells you to not be mad that you got scammed is someone you dont want to be doing business with. GREEDY, SCAMMERS! Don't support this greedy company!!

      It is disappointing to read such complaints.  This particular bidder did not write a positive review for all of the money saved on the countless purchases previously, yet the complaint is published immediately.  Sad.

      Regarding liquidation auctions, all items are sold as/is.  All items are listed with an opening bid price of $1.00.  All items are available for inspection for two days prior to the auction.  All terms and conditions of the auction are published in multiple places so NOTHING is hidden from any bidder.  Where is the scam?

      When an item is very clearly damaged and its not labeled damaged, that IS hiding something. It was labeled "heavily used"... ok so if you took the time to inspect that it was heavily used, you couldn't find the time to plug it in to see if it worked? There's clear deception there. AND on top of everything else, you guys deleted my account!! So SHADY! So now I can't even access my invoices and past bids to prove anything. This is the shadiest, scummiest company I've ever come across. This company will fail miserably if they keep selling broken and damaged items under "open box" conditions. JUST BE HONEST

      Do not buy from this company without purchasing the ability to inspect the items before you go through with buying them. My last and final purchase through this company really disappointed me, though it wouldn’t be the first time. My first purchase was great and exactly what the website claimed and I was thrilled, so the next time I decided to spend a whole week leading up to Friday of bidding time to load up on furniture for my new apartment. Nearly everything I bid on and won ended up either being damaged, completely unusable, a different color, or something entirely different than what the website claimed the item was. I spent over well over $500 on all of these items to be completely dumbfounded at what I received. Usually, if items are damaged in any way the website discloses that, but none of the items I received had that disclosure. I ordered 3 lamps, 2 of which were a “set” and all 3 of them were cracked/broken and one of the lamps in the “set” was a pile of dust when I opened the box. Next, I ordered what I thought was going to be an expensive white desk with shelves built into it, open it to find out it’s black and entirely a different desk I could’ve bought at Walmart. Completely advertised on the website as something not even close to the picture. Next, ordered a footboard & headboard but two separate purchases… the footboard was ADVERTISED as a footboard yet I received 2 headboards instead. Next, ordered a queen bed frame that was advertised as white with no disclosure that it was a different color…. Opened it up, brown bed frame. Next, ordered a tree that was advertised as “tall”, went to pick it up and saw a table plant sitting on the ground for me… the list goes on. I’m making this comment on the basis of this companies fraudulent false advertising. I could only bid when visiting my family because I live a few states away so I couldn’t just stop in to complain and ask for refunds every time something was wrong, so in the end I just wasted money.

      This complaint is not representing liquidation auctions in a fair light.  To be clear - You do NOT need to purchase the right to inspect items.  All items are available for FREE inspection two days prior to the auction close. This is because all items are sold AS/IS and All Sales are Final.  All items have an opening bid of $1.00 and are sold to the highest bidder.  If you are unable to inspect the item, there are options where you can purchase a 5-day return policy.  There are also membership options which give bidders extended removal hours and a certain number of returns.

      It is unfortunate this bidders is not satisfied with the liquidation auction process, but the terms and conditions of the auction were follow and there is no reason for a complaint to be filed.

      The business states AS/IS as does the auction policy. When the business posts these items on their website to be auctioned on they DO NOT DISCLOSE THE CONDITION OF THE ITEM AS THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO. The auction website discloses whether or not these items are damaged, whether or not they are partial, and attaches links to compare what they have in the warehouse to what the item supposedly is. The auction website falsely advertised items that I purchased and falsely disclosed that certain items were something that they were not. This is illegal, "No business may make false, misleading, or deceptive claims about a product regarding its: Price. Quality. Purpose." I understand that this is a liquidation auction, however if they do not disclose 'DAMAGED ITEM' on certain items that they list LIKE THEY DO WITH OTHER DAMAGED ITEMS then its a lie, misleading, and illegal. Other items on the website will state they they are damaged but my Items did not and when I received them they were, if they were advertised like the other items that the company lists that were damaged I WOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT THEM. The box I bought that was supposed to be a footboard literally said HEADBOARD on the outside yet the company listed it as a headboard - a lie and false advertisement. I would LOVE to take this to small court.

      I purchased 2 sets of recip saw blades via auction. When I bid on the items UPS shipping was available for a nominal fee. After I won the 2 items via auction they would no longer honor the shipping option. I sent an email and called the help line. I spoke to Matt and he said he needed to speak to a manager about the issue, when I asked if I could speak to the manager he said no. If I transfer you to the manager they will fire me. After a follow up phone call and me sending the email that states shipping was an option Matt sent me a text saying they will not ship the items and I could not get a refund. I am very disappointed in the lack of service by the management staff.

      The items in questions were not eligible for shipping.  The original listing is attached to the response.  All items were to be picked up at the M@C Discount location in Washington, PA.  After interviewing the individuals mentioned, there is no evidence of such outlandish comments ever being made.  There is no evidence to support this complaint.

      I purchased a gas stove through M@c Discount. The stove that was delivered to me is an electric stove. They’re telling me I either need to pay 10% to get a refund, or take it back to their warehouse to have a manager look it over. I already paid $208 to have it delivered to me and I am not paying another $150 to take it back to have someone tell me I can’t get a refund. Because it’s an auction site I’m sure that they can’t get me the one I ordered, but some type of repayment is necessary.

      I purchased the “Swiss Madison Well Made Forever SM-BV212NB, Navy Blue” from the Pittsburgh mills location. Well at least I thought that is what I was purchasing, a whole vanity. Instead it was just a basin as it states on the box. I’m not really sure how they got that is was a whole navy blue vanity when it clearly states on the side of the box it is only a 24” basin. It was such false advertisement. I could understand if I purchased it and pieces were missing of the vanity but there was never even a chance of that because it was never a whole vanity. I would have never of bid on it if I knew it was just a top. It’s like they were being sneaky about it because they didn’t show pictures of the side of the box. The link they provided to the item for research was a navy blue vanity on Amazon. Not even the correct item. A whole vanity wouldn’t even fit in the box. It’s some bait and switch going on there. I provided pictures of what was shown on Mac Bid and what I received.

      All items are always available for inspection two days before the auction.  We also allow bidders to purchase Buyers Assurance allowing for returns on all items.  Regardless, if the item does not match the listing, it is best to bring the item back to the warehouse and review the listing and the item with a manager.  Filing a complaint online rarely achieves the desired outcome.

      I was in an online auction with M@c discount. Before the auction ended I had selected the buyers assurance since the product I was bidding on was $77 ( the min to buy the buyers assurance is $25) I always buy the assurance for products over $25 because there is a chance that they are damaged and don’t work. When I got my invoice the buyers assurance was not included so I sent a message questioning it. They told me that I did not select it and that the only way they would add it on was if I took a screen shot of it while I did the bidding. When I selected the buyers assurance I didn’t realize that I would have to take a screen shot to prove to them that I had selected it. I feel like they are scamming people and will not add on the buyers assurance even though it was selected, because they know that the product is damaged and they don’t want me to return it for a refund
