1 starHow may we assist you? Filing a Complaint/Complaint Status
Message: Flagship contacted me about financial assistance since there was a hurricane natural disaster in my states NC. This was in Sept 2024...they gave me an option to change my due date...my bill was due on the 19th. For 2 months they have not changed it..Ive paid my bill on the new due date...they said sorry last month & tool away the late fees..this month they are telling me it was approved months ago but not applied. Now they want me to pay on the previous due date. This is very wrong. I was lied too. I have another bill to pay & was planning to pay as they approved my new due date 4th. Supervisors say they will send it to another dept to fix but have not done it yet. They even state they see it was approved too on their end...but never applied. Keep telling me give them 72 hrs...when nothing has been corrected yet. How can they say they want to assist us from a hurricane but lie & cause more stress to us? Wrong wrong wrong...not correcting their error to not apply the due date change. All calls recorded & I have documents too. This is not fair to a customer bc they did not do their job correct. This needs to be corrected on paper & stop harassing me with late car note calls..when Im not late. I cant even work bc of this stress.Review fromVernesha W

This is the worst company to finance your vehicle. It is bad enough that we pay interest rates added to the monthly payments. They also add additional fees to your account before the next payment is due. Also I have tackles on some late that I wasn't aware and when I pay more than i should, instead of covering the late fees that payment, they add to remaining amount toward my principal and let the late fees add up. So I call the representative and she told that I have to request them to cover my late fees. What sense do that make? If you pay the full balance should the late fees to covered as well? Now I did what the representative told me to do and now my request is still pending. I am over this fraudulent company. I hope someone look into this matter.Flagship Credit Acceptance LLC

Hi, ********. We believe it is important to note that Flagships rates are consistent with the market and are uniformly risk-based. All terms and conditions are clearly disclosed and agreed to at the outset of the loan, including any fees, the interest rate and monthly payment. Additionally, our representatives frequently work with customers to offer assistance options when needed. Like most auto finance companies, our customers have simple interest loans that accrue interest on a daily basis. As the outstanding principal balance reduces, the portions of the payments that are applied to interest will decrease, leaving more to be applied to principal. Generally speaking, your account must be current before payments are applied to fees, which is to your benefit since interest accrues on the outstanding balance, but not on fees, as you indicated. Were happy to look into your statement that your fees have increased and ask that you reach out to our **************************** via ***************************************************************** so we can do so. Awful experience just to try to make a payment! They charged the credit card TWICE. If that wasnt bad enough, they then refunded one of the payments, then we got a fraud alert from our credit card company that we were being charged a cash advance fee, and mysteriously the same amount that was refunded was being attempted to be withdrawn as a cash advance. If you can get someone on the phone to discuss the issue-and thats a big if-they claim to know nothing.Flagship Credit Acceptance LLC

I tried to work with Flagship on payments after losing my job due to covid and relocating, but they repossessed the vehicle anyway. After a year and a half they refuse to mark the repossession on my credit and keep marking as behind on payments. I have disputed the charges with the three credit bureaus but it never gets resolved. They are impossible to work with and now that the account has changed status, I only get a collections department and they refuse to do anything other than take a payment.Flagship Credit Acceptance LLC

This company is full of crooks and frauds. Mysterious fees get randomly added to my account. I spent the last 19 months for at least 2 -3hrs per call talking with Managers and Supervisors and these so called fees. They dont remove them, they cant explain them, yet they tack on additional interest on the account because the fees dont get paid. This company is horrible. They took the Covid bailout and then applied the interest to my account. So now thanks to that I have a $7700 ballon payment due at the end of my loan just for the Covid interest. How is that even legal?Flagship Credit Acceptance LLC

Hi, ******. While we cant discuss your individual situation publicly due to privacy concerns, we believe it is important to note that all terms and conditions are clearly disclosed and agreed to at the outset of the loan, including any fees, which do not accrue interest. Moreover, customers that receive payment deferrals may owe more at the back of their loan. We would like to take a closer look at your account so that we can provide a more detailed response as much of what you described would not align with our policies and procedures. Please email our **************************** directly at ***************************************************************** with further details so that we can investigate your issue. Worst loan and company ever. The loans are so upside down. I have been paying $500 for the past 3 years and still have not paid $3000 yet. Not sure if the added a package to plan without my knowledge or they just take all the interest first before anything at all goes to the loan, which in turn causes more interest to accrue. Its not illegal, just bad business and I would never recommend them to anyone. I cant even refinance or trade because I still owe too much coupled with depreciation. No one wants to touch it.Flagship Credit Acceptance LLC

Hi, ******! Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns. While we cant discuss your individual situation publicly due to privacy concerns, we can state that like with most auto finance companies, our customers have simple interest loans that accrue interest on a daily basis, and all terms, including any additional products purchased, are clearly identified and agreed to. The key to paying down this type of loan is by making the full installment payment on or before the due date each month. As the outstanding principal balance reduces, the portions of the payments that are applied to interest will decrease, leaving more to be applied to principal. I literally cannot stand this company!!! Every creditor that I have reports monthly, but they do NOT!!!! You have to ride their butts to ****** to report your payments!!! M credit score recently went down because my auto loan balance has not changed since July 2024!!!! I had to call and email them in May and June just to get them to update it then! I would not recommend this company to anyone!!! They are the worst! I bet if I let my payment go 30 or 60 days late, they would report it quick and fast!!!! Never ever again!!!Flagship Credit Acceptance LLC

My city recently had a tornado which we don't normally experience, I was without lights for over a week (I work from home) I had to repair damage to my roof, I stayed in a hotel for that week and lost all my food. The government declared a state of emergency but there was no help ****. I am behind on my car payment along with all other bills of mine. All my other creditors were willing to help but I find myself with no help from Flagship. I am trying to schedule payments with what I can and my so called "Account Manager" calls and gets an attitude with me, starts laughing at me and is unwilling to help at all. I wish I never did business with them and if I were you I would stay away. As soon as I am caught up I will refinance with another company. They are extremely rude and not helpful what so ever. They need better customer service training. If it had not been for people like me that are dumb enough to get credit through them they would not have a job so be respectful and show some sympathyFlagship Credit Acceptance LLC
