They will not stop harassing me. Calls,emails,constant letters in the mail. I have asked over the past years to leave me alone and they will not! I spoke to Adam from negotiations at Jg Wentworth. He explained that they couldn't settle my ***** ************ account. I said I have basing asking for a while to settle. I told him to cancel future payments and he said he would. He told me I would be refunded back $54.66 . My accounts are all paid in full. This morning $250 drafted from my account. So I should be refunded back $304.66 thank you.Business Response

I received a "pre-approval certificate" from JGWentworth for personal loan for the amount of $15,000. When I went to the website to inquire about the loan? There is no option to select about a loan, there are simply debt settlement and restructuring options offered. I called the number advertised; I was denied the loan. In my humble opinion, this is blatantly a false and deceptive advertising practice. This was unsolicited loan offer. If in fact, I had been pre-approved? How was the loan denied? Again, in my humble opinion, this is blatantly a false and deceptive advertising practice. It nothing more than an attempt to deceive recipients of these "loan offers" into accepting debt consolidation or debt restructuring offered by JGWentworth.Business Response

We are constantly be harassed by JG Wentworth via email and phone calls. We have never done business with them or even inquired about them, etc. We have tried to have our email removed from their list as well as our phone number. Their customer service is the worst. As they won't help and are very unprofessional. It appears they have also sold/shared our email with a few other financial/spam organizations as we now receive emails from companies we have no idea who they are but they all have the same email address as JG Wentworth. @contact.************************.com. We have no idea how they got our email or phone number as we are extremely careful how we use and share both. This whole issue makes us nervous and anxious. Today ... I've been calling these people for months asking them to stop calling my phone or sending me mail to my home.. they have also contacted family members in our harassing us... This has been going on for months even years we don't have any business with these people and they continue to harass us.. I just received another mail from these people today I'm going to take legal action now since they don't get it.. this is borderline harassment and stalking.. I spoke to the office and one of the employees was very rude and was laughing at me when I told him I was going to take legal action he claimed to be a person named *****'s supervisor. What is wrong with these people.. I don't know how they got my new address this has been going on for years and I want it to stop even sending mailed in my maiden name I haven't used in years.. I have asked JG wentworth NUMEROUS of times to please stop calling me & mailing me, its literally on a harassment level. They will stop for awhile and then start up again. Basically what it comes down to is I was under the assumption that JG Wentworth was MY representative and working for me and in my best interests...which turns out to not be true.Every step of the way, I was being misled. The first phone conversation when I was being sold on the service, I asked about my credit score. They assured me that my credit would be fine. I was under the assumption that they would be reaching out and negotiating settlements for me. After two months, my credit went from 720 to 500 because of late payments. When I called back, they told me that that was part of the process. That I needed to default on all of my loans and credit cards so they could make the best deals. That was NOT explained to me at all. Anyway, the first negotiated settlement was for 48% of the total. Which is seemingly good, but when they add their 25% fee, 73% is not. When I reached out myself, the loan company said I could pay it off for 35% of the total directly. Also, the payment structure ($207 to JG Wentworth and $50 towards the Debt) is absolutely not in my best interest and again was never explained to me. When I called to cancel, they are taking the full 25% of the negotiated settlement which is $2,484. My creditor is receiving $250. NONE of this was explained to me over the phone. I was even willing to forfeit the $828 in fees they've already collected but they wouldn't work with me at all. It became very clear that this company that sold themselves to me as MY representative, that they would be fighting for me, was in fact, putting one over me. I feel so used and frustrated. They called me at a very vulnerable moment, I am in so much debt, my business is going under, I can barely make my mortgage, but I went with them because I didn't want to default on my creditors. All they wanted was to squeeze thousands from me when I literally have nothing. I've never done something like this, but if you can help me get my money back I would be incredibly grateful.Business Response

I like so many others have repeatedly requested JG Wentworth stop communicating with me by phone, email, mail text., etc. Today, I received mail from them they will not stop. I am recovering fro a brain injury and these interactions create great anxiety and stress exacerbating my condition. I am trying BBB and then will contact lawyer for possible class action lawsuit. I have decided not to go through with the terms of the program the same day we discussed it. I haven’t signed all paperwork and have reached out to 4 different people now to make sure everything is terminated WITHIN my allotted time frame and I can’t seem to get an answer. Instead I keep getting hounded as to why I should continue with the program.
