    Company advice could settle my debt. None of my accounts was in bad standing or never late. JG took over $1k and now my credit is poor. They advise they can’t negotiate till 210 days and they negotiate the late fees/interest when they settle. Please tell me how this help ANYONE! This company is a FRAUD and they screwed my credit. JG basically turn my positive credit history to non-payments and BAD credit. I’m very upset with this company!!!!!

    Prior to your discussion with senior staff, your account was reviewed by upper management. After review, we provided a service where we are owed our fee. Calls were also reviewed by our compliance department to verify any information provided was incorrect. Our compliance department found that the program was explained correctly.

    I decided to go with JG Wentwork for consolidation of my loans and credit cards. After about an month or two, my credit decided substantially. Over the next few months, credit score went way.down. I contacted JG Wentworth and they stated it takes 6 months of non payment to credit cards to be able to negative a price. At NO time did they tell me that I would, at tax season, be getting 1099c from ALL of those accounts they negotiated. I was looking for help and All they did was hurt me in long run. Now I have to put that 1099c as income, even though some credit cards I have had for like 3 years. My problem is not once did they tell me that I would be getting those 1099c, cause I wouldn't have signed up for this program. I want others to be warned about the tactics they use.

    I consistently get in mail saying I'm pre approved and invite code specific to me. I've applied in past and declined. And still get pre approved letters. Stop sending anything to my home its annoying and misleading.

    Complaint taken over phone by BBB representative BA In December 2022, consumer contacted business to sell an annuity for a lump sum payment. He has done this in the past. The contract stated he would receive a $1000 before the court hearing. Now he is being told he can't get the $1000 since he had done this is the past. Business is refusing to let him out of the contract and has threatened a lien and will no longer receive his monthly check unless he pays the $1200 a month..

During those transactions, we had provided you a total of $10,250.00 in advances which we have attached as proof. You have cancelled each transaction and have yet to repay us.

    I have no idea how these clowns got my email and phone but they harass me daily. I want removed entirely from their contacts database. I have contacted them via email several times and that just leads to amplified voulume of junk from them.

    In my initial call with JG Wentworth I was led to believe that debts would be consolidated as soon as I started the process with the company. It turns out I was deceived. I have to wait until default to start the process. I am extremely upset as this will affect my credit score greatly and I feel taken advantage of in that I was misled into agreeing to something I did not want to. None of my payments towards credit are in default and now this is going to put them all in default. I thought I was trusting an honest company which wasnt trying to scheme people. I am absolutely sick at the trick I fell for. Furthermore, if you search up reviews on ****** and put in most recent filter you will see several other instances of how this company is deceiving people and further hindering their financial stress, when all people wanted was to fix their finances.

    I began receiving emails from this company about 2 months ago. I do not require their services and when I went to unsubscribe by the link provided in the email it took me to a 404 page. I imagine because it saw me as clicking through on the email, the system saw this as interest. I am receiving up to 4 emails a day now! I contacted their customer service team from the contact email provided on their website and asked that I be removed from their mailing files. I have not received a reply, now at least one week later, and continue to get the emails. This is not legal, what they are doing goes against privacy policies that companies must abide by. I have blocked the email sender however I continue to get them from varying employees within the business.

    Did not honor its contract JGW collected 1,644.11 from me and charged over 3 settlement fees of 477.80 on the account Debt resolution department failed, possible fraud. They only made 3 payments of 100.00 each on this account and only contacted debtor once. I am requesting email from all my accounts, stating all contact from JGW to audit JGW records. All they do is charge excessive fees. They also did not notify me of accounts that went to collection.
