They’re thieves. I purchased a dress for a wedding for $180. In less than 30 days I needed to return the dress because the wedding was called off. The dress was never worn, tags still on, and draped in the original plastic cover. They would not take the dress back or offer a store credit that could be used at a later date. Instead they insisted that I exchange the dress for something else within 60 days of the purchase date otherwise I’m stuck with the dress. I don’t need anything wedding related so they’re just taking my money and running. Additionally, I called CORPORATE to see if they would help and not only did they NOT help, they ignored my complaint, never returned my calls, and wouldn’t let me speak with a higher up who could help me. So I have a dress that I don’t need, I’m $180 in the hole, and David’s Bridal couldn’t care less about the paying customer. Never again. I don’t recommend this shady chain to anybody.

David’s Bridal did not share enough information when they take your measurements to get your tux made. I was wearing an Express dressy pants and the Store manager took my measurements and I asked a very specific question my pants are going to be exactly how this one looks and he/she SAID YES I repeated “I don’t like my pants long and to wide” after he/she took my measurements order my top and bottom, I received them and try them on. I was not ok with how they looked, my pants were extremely to wide / long and my white top the sleeves were 3” long and the bottom of my top was lower than my ass this is a white tux. Total with the alterations I needed it came out to $600 taking in consideration that my tux was a little over $300 plus $600 of alterations it is ridiculous that they can’t measure correctly. Stupid me sign the receipt, after asking somewhere else the price for alterations on a tux was way less than DB pricing, I regret buying there and the bad part is the store won’t return the money after signing the receipt. Learn lesson. Do not alter anything with them they are going to charge you even the air that you’re breathing in there.

Ordered bridesmaid dresses from the Woodbridge location, horrible customer service, systems crashed twice and had to put the order in 3 separate times. When the notification for delivery came in with the wrong address on it I called the store and they said they must have made a mistake when writing the address even though they read me back the correct address from my file, and as it had shipped there was nothing they could do. thankfully I Got a call from the lady the dresses were delivered to and picked them up. They were the wrong colour, not what we ordered. Returned them to the Hamilton location and ordered different dresses, store refused to return the price difference to us. New dresses came in and 2/3 dresses had large bleach spots on them. Store was very unapologetic, refused to order new ones in until we drove back to the store and dropped off the damaged ones even though we sent in photos (we live an hour away so driving in wasn’t a quick thing) and wouldn’t send us shipping labels to just ship them back. Also wouldn’t order new ones with the money we already paid, said we needed to come in and get a full refund then repay for the new ones, which is just a large hassle for us when all the issues have been on their end. I told them I’d be in on the weekend to do it but that I was no longer interested in dealing with them, I’d only take a full refund. Got a call from another employee two days later saying they now magically had the new dresses (the ones they couldn’t order two days prior) at the store and did I want to cancel my refund and pick these up? I went in and got my refund, have since sent 3 message request in through their website and called their general customer service line requesting a call back from someone above the store level to call me back, it’s been over a month and still nothing. Worst company I’ve ever had to deal with, and I feel sorry for anyone who gets tricked into buying from them.

I paid for my dress and alterations May 28th and it was in perfect condition when I left it in alterations. On June 29th when I went to pick it up from alterations there was snags and tears all over my dress. I showed them and they told me they could steam the tears out, they brought it back out and you could still clearly see the snags and tears in the dress. Then the manager and alterations told me it was my fault while trying on the dress. They demanded I make another appointment with the alterations manager. Well yesterday the alterations manager called me and took blame for the damages that happened in alterations and offered to order me a new dress that would arrive July 31st. I explained to her that I would rather get a refund and not chance this happening again, and not have enough time to get something else. So today the store manager calls me and she's blaming me again for the damage and told me she cannot refund my dress because it had already been altered. The dress has never left the store, and I can guarantee I would've seen any damage to it prior to paying for it. I have given them several chances, they have no communication skills. This has been a complete nightmare, after being blamed over and over again I would like to receive a refund and go somewhere else.

David Bridal in Merrillville Indiana has charged me soo much in alterations just to not do all of the work and then try to charge more money for a rush fee to complete the services that was previously required. This particular location scams people for money. You’re nearly paying just as much for the dress as you are the alterations.

Went to David’s Bridal in Marion, IA to pick up my dress after alterations we completed, I was told I could come pick up my dress on 6/23/2023. When I walked back to the alterations area, I was handed my dress and when I opened it the pieces they cut off were in the bag, the bottom was a complete whack job, literally looked like a small child cut the dress. The one area that was a little loose was not fixed at all, the bra area was not tacked down like they said it would be. It was not at all ready to go, we asked if it had been steamed, we were told no because they had us down for pick up on 6/24 after we told them the only day I could come get it was 6/23. We go told it could be done today before we left. That’s when the a lady walked out and said very rudely “I cannot do that today! You’ll have to come back!” Remind you the store is permanently closing on Monday 6/27/2023 so I would have had no dress had I left it there. We told them we would be taking else where and the lady said to my mother “I’m not talking to you, you are not the bride!” We tried to explain how unhappy we were with alternations, that’s when we were told “there’s the dress take it bye!” For spending $2,000 the dress alterations should have been done correctly and we should never been treated this poorly!!

Raleigh- NC. I wouldn’t recommend this company to my worst enemy. This has been nothing but a shit show for lack of a better word. They originally quoted my dress I ordered in February to be here in April. April came and went. I was requoted after being in store it would be in early May. Early May came and went. After numerous phone calls back and forth between the management they promised my dress would be there that week. It never came. They barely answer the phone when you call and they have the most horrible return policy. I purchased a veil and belt that identically matched the dress and now I’m unable to return that because I picked it up on the original quoted day. I called corporate and they basically called me a liar that I never was quoted early April even though my ENTIRE bridal party was with me when I was quoted. Horrible horrible horrible customer service. Horrible experience. Save yourself the headache. Not worth spending money on a company that went BANKRUPT. I can see why.

Do NOT use David Bridal. They have given me the worst customer service for a bridesmaid dress. They took measurements and intentionally ordered the dress too big then tried to get me to use their alteration service charging me almost triple the cost of the dress instead of just reordering a size down to right their wrong. They need to go out of business since they can't do better by their customers.

•03/18/2023 My daughter had a tough time deciding between two dresses. In an effort to take some of the pressure off of her, I offered to buy both dresses, let her take them home & think on it, then return the dress that didn't make the cut, IF I had the store agreed to refund my money. I explained the situation to the man that appeared to be the manager on duty at the time & asked if they do refunds. He said they do, so I asked what their policy is. He told me I would need to return the dress unworn, in its original condition, with the receipt & within the next 7 days to receive a refund. Then just to be clear I said, "I pay cash for both dresses now, then return one of the two with my receipt in less than 7 days, & you give me my money back for it. Right?" The man said, "Correct".
•03/22/2023 (four days later) I returned the dress unworn, in its original condition with my receipt, & the cashier informed me that David's Bridal would be mailing me a check "at some point". I asked her when & where the check would be coming from. She had no idea, but apparently found out within minutes. She said their corporate office would mail me a check sometime within the next 21 days from their corporate office in Houston.
*** So this corporation is keeping my money for three weeks, then sending me an out of state check I'll be lucky to find anyplace to cash. AND, all this after I made my intentions crystal clear before buying the dress & a having a representative of the business explain the refund policy in advance.
I work in retail myself, & I wouldn't be able to sleep at night if I treated my customers this way. That is, IF I even had any customers left to be considerate of after behaving this way.

Today I called the Monroeville, PA store to speak to the store manager about our experience. We were there in September for our dress consultation. There was some confusion over the wedding colors and the consultant at one point told the bride maybe she should switch her wedding colors!!! Upon telling the manager about this, she told me that all of the confusion over the colors was all our fault!! While in the store a few of us bridesmaids heard the store manager say "what part of we don't have coral reef do they not ******* understand!!" I asked her about making this comment, she was adamant that she never used that language on the floor. Also during the dress fitting the consultant made a comment to several of us bridesmaids that we don't carry dresses that big in the store. One of those bridesmaids was me!! She put me in a dress that was a size 14 when I wear a size 22!!! We felt as though that was discrimination and fat shaming!! The manager told me that no one was trying to fat shame anyone. Then she turned around trying to say that it must have just been our frustration that we mistook what she was saying the wrong way, because we were caught up in our feelings. Then she started yelling at me telling me I was wrong, and that it was our fault we made the mistake. Finally she started apologizing for the miscommunication Then she proceeded to tell me that if there's anything that they can do through alterations, so our dresses are perfect for us please don't hesitate to reach out and get a hold of them. She asked me two or three times during our conversation why did you wait till now to call this was back in September. So of course I had to explain to her over and over again that we wanted to make sure that all of the dresses were in and fit properly before I made the call in case anything else happened in the process. My over all experience was very poor!!! The manager and consultant were completely unprofessional, inconsiderate, and rude!!!
