This company is claiming that I owe them money for a service that I have already paid for through another collection company back in 2020. I have stated this fact but they refuse to drop the claim or provide me with any evidence or contact information on who to get in touch with to finish this ongoing multi-year issue. The price keeps increasing and I refuse to double pay and pay extra. When I have stated I can send them proof, they send me an email address where everything bounces back.Business Response

I have been keeping a very close eye on my credit report via annual credit report.com. I have noticed that this company has violated my rights according to FCRA by reaging medical debt on my credit report (which is illegal). The actions taken by this company has impacted my credit score negatively, this is not okay. I will also be reporting this issue to the CFPBBusiness Response

I got a letter saying I owe 212.00 a few months ago regarding this supposed debt. I wrote them several times and explained that there was an issue with the school and I believe it’s fraud and not to contact until they figure out with the school. I never received any complaints or communications just random bills and then suddenly I owe 834.00 on my credit report. How is this legal? This is seems like fraud to me. First off I don’t owe that balance but how does one go from 212.00 to 834.00 on my credit report.Business Response

I am not legally responsible for the debt owed to ABILITY RECOVERY SERVICES, LLC, as I do not have a contractual agreement with this company. Despite my request, they have failed to provide me with the original contract in question. Additionally, it's worth noting that this company does not possess the necessary licensing in the State of Georgia to engage in debt collection activities. Account Number: **********Business Response
