    A representative from Ecoshield was walking through my driveway and did not acknowledge my presence. He kept walking on my property. I asked if I could help him. He then let me know he served customers in our area and asked if we were interested. When I said no, he continued to walk around to the front of my house. When I called him back and said to walk around my property instead of through it, he said that my property was HIS OFFICE. He continued through my yard. I asked him repeatedly to leave and said not to come back. Finally he went to the road and saying things like yah yah. When I contacted the company and asked to speak with a manager to report this, I was told the representative could only take a message so, therefore, I am sharing the problem through this review.

    No stars. This business is a scam.
    My neighbor and I were duped. We agreed to sign a 12 month contract. But when the workers came to apply the pest control, we were told that we had signed up for 24 months, which was not true. I was told to contact management, who informed me that there would be a roughly $220 cancellation fee. I feel as if the sales representative acted in bad faith throughout the entire process. I would not recommend dealing with this company at all.

    We were approached by a salesman ( manager apparently) whom we never saw or spoke to again after numerous phone calls) . Convinced us to switch to Eco Shield and that they will get rid of spider webs and treat mosquitos.
    My husband signed up and paid an initial payment of $200.34.
    They came the next day for the 1st web treatment . To be honest I had more spider webs than before. A month later they came for the 2nd spray and we paid another quarterly payment of 200.34. So we paid $400.68 for 3 treatments!!! I kept calling and asking when will they come and spray. Their response was we don't have technicians and that some were still training. The agent said she will offer me a free mosquito treatment which I never got. Why do they sell a service to consumers if they can't deliver it.
    I called to then cancel the whole thing they refused saying that my husband should do it cause his name was on it. Which I thought was ridiculous it's a pest control not a bank!!!!!
    They kept my husband on the phone for an hour saying that we owed them another 212$!!!! And threatening us to send the amount to a debt collector if we didn't pay it. They are efficient in collecting money and appointing debt collectors but they can't provide a pest control sevice promptly. Who runs this company I can see that many comsumers have complained. They're harassing us for a payment we don't owe after promising to give us a free treatment.
    I have the receipts of the $400.68

    Hello,
    It is with a heavy heart that I write this letter, but I can no longer allow my family’s emotional state to suffer. EcoShield has continued to harass us through email, text, and phone call. We signed up for EcoSheild’s service after welcoming their sales representative into our home (they approached us). After a lengthy and what I believed at the time to be an honest discussion, we enrolled. The sales representative promised us results in a timely fashion and assured us, repeatedly, that there was no cancellation fee of any kind, and that we could cancel for any reason without owing any further payment. After a few services (I believe it was 4 or 5), I called to cancel our service. At that time, a very aggressive EcoShield employee tried to retain our business at a 50% reduction in service cost moving forward. When I declined, I was told that I would be receiving a bill for the discount they applied to our first service, which was in fact identical to our other services. The EcoShield employee told me that I had agreed to this via a text message reply. I explained, in detail, what I was told at the time we signed up, and that I would not be paying this fraudulent fee. When I brought up the fact that if any money should be owed, it should be EcoShield refunding me the 50% I was overcharged for the services I already paid for since they tried to sell me the same service at a greatly reduced price. I was promptly disconnected. Since then I have been bombarded with letters, emails, texts, and phone calls. We have given EcoShield every opportunity to wave the fraudulent fee and cease their harassment. Their refusal to do so along with the fact that I have discovered that they are trying this same scam on the elderly homeowners of my community has prompted my contacting the BBB.

    An absolutely terrible scamming company! I was sold an idea that this is not a contract and i can cancel anytime without any cancellation fee, i have asked a salesman several times about that before i agreed to services and when 6 months later i decided to cancel even getting a hold of them was an issue and eventually i got through to some international call center where they hit me with a supposed cancellation fee of over $300 because of "initial discount" that was never disclosed and that i am in a contract for a year. Just an absolute scam please stay away

    If I could give less than one star I would this company steals your money!! Their prices are out of the market norm, I needed to get flea service and they wanted to charge me $800.00 above the price I was already paying for their annual service. I also wanted to get something done for mice since I live in the woods that would have been an extra $1000.00 both these services come with other company's plans for a lot less. When you want to cancel their service they still want more money to cancel. Stay away from this company. I am now in the process of writing a letter to the corporate office I hope they listen better to their customers than the local franchise does!

    Not a very repliable company.Shody in the way they applied their product.They were at my home and here for under 15 mins that l paid 189.00 for each time...rip off.Saw no benefit from there svc.Don't contract their service.l Cancelled svc.Then was told there was a 300.00 cancellation fee which was not made known to me when l signed up for the service in my face to face meeting with rep.If l knew this from the beginning l would not have signed up for svc.Was told it was in there contract when l accepted there svc but that was after the fact.Stay away from them.

    To start, there is a massive amount of fraudulent 5 Star reviews on Google Reviews to keep the rating high. Beware and do your homework (AKA look at the total number of reviews all of the 5-Star reviewers have).

    This company (Norristown/Phila Office) promises the world (Maxwell Muhlenkamp was the sales rep who delivered the bait to me with a smile), delivers 1/4 of the service they promised, costs are extremely high (their discount program is a way to charge you the full amount if you cancel at any time within the contract), and they give you the run around if you want money credited back to you for your dissatisfaction (which you'll have at some point). Instead, they push their services back on you to "make it right" even if you just want your money back due to their incompetence and highly stretching of the truth to get you to sign.

    I was promised a 45 min service (received 20 total, worked 10 of it), 20ft perimeter spray (received 5-10) and they didn't water it in like the instructions say to make it is safe for my pets to walk on, filled open holes with steel wool (never happened), mouse bait (never happened), told the products required a license to get (readily available online), and some ridiculous claim that I'll never see another insect again in my house (impossible as anything will fly through an open door).

    If you're unhappy at any point, you signed their contract, and if you want out, get ready for several painstaking phone calls to their India based customer service center where you'll be speaking with a very nice person who wishes they could help you but, you signed the contract and they're so sorry. I finally had my balance waived after many calls, internal transfers, and lengthy broken record style conversations repeating the same things over and over.

    Absolute joke! This company is high level scam. If you want to receive one of those class action lawsuit postcards in the mail, sign up with this company and one day it'll be in your mailbox.

    I had a wasp problem and my neighbor suggested I call EcoShield. A nice young man came out and told me about their services. He spoke rather quickly, but assured me that I could cancel the service at any time. After a second worker came, they took care of my wasp problem.

    Last week I received a notice that Eco-Shield was coming out to do another service. I had intended to cancel the repeat treatments because I only had a wasp problem. When I called to cancel, the business person cancelled future treatments but informed me that I still owed over $300. He explained that the “contract” offered me a discount for my first treatment (which costs $260) and, if I cancelled their program, I owed them for this initial discount. So, my one time wasp treatment costs almost $600.

    This amount seems very high and if I understood this part of their business model, I would have declined.

    I have read that this company is inflexible when it comes to refunds and is quick to send you into “collections”.

    I have not decided what I am going to do with this exorbitant additional charge, but others should understand their “business model” before agreeing to or signing anything.

    As a side note, my wife told me immediately that there was a financial scam component to this and that she would never had agreed to it if she had been available to review their business offer.

    I received prompt and good service for what I really wanted - one time wasp treatment, but instead I got an unwanted light by term relationship or a one time treatment that costs DOUBLE to what I thought that I agreed.

    Shall I bad mouth them to my neighbors?

    !They sign you for one year , as soon as the one year is up they state it’s two years. Then in return the final service they don’t show up for and change times on multiple occasions. This resulted in time lost from work! Managers when you call the outsourced call center they send you too are incredibly rude. They will not allow me to cancel with our paying a 255 cancellation fee. I no longer trust them at my house if they even show up!! This is a door to door sales. The reviews you see online are after the first service in which they force you to write a review. After that they are horrible!! They refuse to cancel this account without any payment.
